Lovely 2 bedroom 2 bathroom luxury lodge with views overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake and Skiddaw mountain range. Lake accessible by a jetty between March and Nov only.
Set on a lovely tranquil 5 star award winning park. Ideal retreat for walking, fishing, canoeing and cycling. Nearest pub 1 mile. Ideal base to visit areas within the Lake District National Park. Keswick being 6 miles and Cockermouth 7 miles.

Great site, wonderful cabin, so lovely and clean. Bedding was beautiful and bed was great. Everything you needed and well stocked. Best settee we’ve had and we have stayed in a few log cabins, Most are near to the floor but this was excellent. Thankyou to Julie for the wine.

This was our 2nd visit, best family/dog friendly place to stay in the area. Excellent facilities and super comfy lodge in a picturesque location. The owner was very accommodating and responds promptly.

A fantastic mini break

Fantastic lodge, so well looked after with all the little bits you need. Superb location with amazing views, very peaceful and great base for visiting other areas of the lake district. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great stay at a great lodge

We had a great stay at the lodge. It was clean and comfortable with everything you needed for an easy stay. The location is remote but there are so many lovely places around to visit and some great walks and amazing scenery. We only stayed for 3nights but would have happily stayed longer and hope to return. Communication with Julie was easy, who responded quickly to a few enquiries I had. Would definitely recommend!

Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges

Beautiful location with a great range of activities to enjoy, recommend going to Keswick, going tot the local wildlife park and enjoying some food and drink at the Sun Inn. The lodge was amazing with everything you need.

Me and my friend stayed in the lodge during our visit to the Lake District and we absolutely loved it! The lodge was beautiful and felt very homey and the views were incredible. The property was clean and had all amenities included that we would need! We will definitely be back and I am 100% recommending the lodge to my family and friends!

The lodge is exactly as described. Well equipped and spotlessly clean.We had a lovely few days despite the atrocious weather, it was lovely and warm inside the lodge.

Our break was over too fast

What a find, the accommodation was spotless in all areas, the location quiet and very picturesque. We wanted a quiet Christmas day this year away from everything and not an organised pub family dinner. We were not disappointed and it may change our choices for the future.We stayed for 3 nights and felt as though it was a real home from home. Even the weather was kind to us, no rain. We all agreed that we couldn't have chosen better.

Quiet weekend getaway

My partner, myself and Juno (the dog) had a lovely stay here. The lodge is peaceful and only 10 mins away from Keswick. We enjoyed a hike up skiddaw and some evenings out locally. Price and location are perfect, would highly recommend. Julie is very responsive for any queries you may have!

Another lovely stay

This is now our 6th stay at the lodge. As always, we had a lovely and relaxing time. We love the quiet of the site and its closeness to the surrounding areas like Windermere, Ambleside and Keswick. Theres lots of lovely walks near the lodge, which is fab for our dog too.
