Great house for relaxing after a busy day at the parks

We stayed for 2 weeks - we loved the house. Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Games room and swimming pool are both fantastic. We have stayed at Highlands Reserve before in a different house so knew the location was ideal for Disney and Universal.

Amazing house in great location

The house is fantastic and exactly as described on the listing. We are a family of 3, so this house was twice as large than we actually needed. It was a bit of an indulgence, as the view of the 18th hole sold it to me. Check-in was using the lock box, so the pressure was off as to when we would actually arrive. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We only just discovered the local irish bar on our last evening. We travelled out every day to the disney/sea world areas and it took about 30 mins each way. The house offered the peace that we were looking for after long days at the parks. It was lovely to be able to swim in the evening to cool down. I would definitely recommend this property to any group (large or small). It has everything that you need. Comms with the owners was always prompt and very informative.

Great stay

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - 5 adults and 1 infant. House was spacious, very clean, comfortable and well equipped including good high chair and travel cot. Great location within walking distance of golf club. Pool area was private and with lovely views. Would have no hesitation returning.

A lovely house

We have stayed at Highlands Reserve several times and this has by far been the best property we have rented Although this time it was just the two of us the house would have been comfortable had there been a party of eight. The pool was very private with great views of the golf course and poolside furniture was great enough beds for a much larger party. Inside the house had everything we needed and the pool table in the garage was a bonus. Two sets of golf clubs in the garage were an added bonus although we never got round to playing as we only had a week, maybe next time. All in all a great stay and hope to be back one day.

Overall good house

Lovely setting, clean house with excellent pool area. Communication with owner could have been better. Minor error over pre arranged late checkout could have been handled better with better communication. But overall a great family holiday was had here so will not let that influence review.

Good vacation in a favourite location

My wife and I enjoyed 12 days at this property over the Easter break. With just two of us we mainly used the ground floor, so can't really comment on upstairs. Pros: Nice quiet and well maintained residential area. Conveniently located for access to all amenities along US27 and US192. Reasonable distance to Disney, though we didn't visit the parks on this trip. Usual amount of traffic congestion on main routes. No disturbance from adjacent properties and nice view to elevated 18th green. Well equipped with more than enough crockery and cookware. Good size Lanai benefits from early morning sun until late afternoon. Nice selection of loungers and and seated tables. Cons: Pool adequate for our purpose, but might be a little small for any large family group. Bubble covers for pool and spa are in poor condition and might benefit from replacement. Master bath shower is good size, but small shower head makes it difficult to get wet! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Overall very nice holiday home

On arrival the property definitely looked the part from the outside, well presented and situated in a quiet area in Highland Reserve. We have stayed in the Davenport area before so we're happy to find a property in the same sort of area. We arrived late afternoon and collected the keys from keybox outside as described via earlier email. On entering the property we were pleased to be met with the cool air of the air conditioning. First impressions were good, all rooms were clean and tidy. Rooms were generous in size and kitchen area was well laid out. Pool area again had no issues although one of tables looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while, no major concern as we used the larger table when sitting out. Each room has a ceiling fan which we're extremely useful at night if it's too warm, pretty quiet too. Games room is excellent, with a great pool table my 3 boys spent many hours on. WiFi was strong and no issues. Laundry room had what looked like new appliances. These were used regularly with no issues whatsoever. Bedrooms are all well sized and very comfortable. Main bedroom ensuite was a generously sized and well stocked with towels. The property was managed by Lisa who we spoke to a couple of times and was always pleasant to deal with. We had one issue that was dealt with whilst we were away from the villa for the night which she kindly attended to for us, thank you. The only negative point was not being able to use the villa safety deposit box. Although the key turned and lock seemed to function correctly the handle was stuck therefore we couldn't open it nor use it. We reported this on the first day and a replacement was supplied 2 days later but was of no use. It had been dropped off by the maintenance manager whilst we were out but was not fixed to any wall or floor, instead had just been sat on top of the existing safe. Not ideal when it's only the size of a large shoebox and could easily be carried out of the property with all your valuables inside. Carrying your valuables about in the car wherever you go is not ideal, but this is what we needed to do. Only other negatives were some of the cutlery was blunt and the boiler on first floor was noisy and could be heard through the whole house, even at night. Overall the villa ticked all the boxes for us and we really enjoyed our stay. I would have no concerns about returning here in the future. Thanks Kathy, John and Lisa.

Very nice property

Very nice villa on an excellent estate. Not overlooked and nice view of the golf course. The air conditioning was set a little low and we sat under blankets in the evenings. The mousetrap in the garage was a bit concerning, the unusable units in the lounge looked untidy, the bath needs renewing as very worn and nicer outside crockery would be nice. New kitchen looks lovely and the tiled floor is very classy. Apart from these small gripes it was a very nice villa and would probably stay again..

We have stayed in Davenport before, so know the area well. Villa was in a great location for exploring the area. Comfortable with everything we needed. Great views over golf course from back but still remaining private for relaxing by the pool.

Fantastic villa with great views

My family recently stayed at this villa and we were very impressed. It is clean, bright and spacious with everything included that we could possibly need. The pool area is fantastic with a beautiful view across the 9th green of the golf course. It is perfectly positioned for the sun rising in the morning until the evening. My kids and all the adults loved the games room which was also well equipped. We would recommend this villa to anyone looking to visit Florida and we will definetely book it again in the future.

Fantastic family home

Would recommend this wonderful villa to all. A home from home with many added comforts. Great pool and hot tub and lovely view overlooking golf course. Has fabulous games room which we all enjoyed on our ‘lazy days’. Felt very safe in Highland Reserves Community. Short drive to Publix/Walmart etc. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here for 3 weeks and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thanks Kathy and John for our pleasant stay in your villa.

Brilliant

We have enjoyed our stay here, it's a lovely clean and spacious villa. We enjoyed chilling out in the pool and hot tub after a long day at the parks. The games room is well equipped with pool table and air hockey. The villa was well equipped with cutlery, towels and bedding. Kathy and John were quick and very helpful. Thank you again We had an amazing time and would defiantly stay here again.

Potential Renter ask that you be met at villa to go through home with inventory and damage

The villa on the whole was clean homely but with a few problems. When we phoned for help, the number reached explained he had not managed property for 2 years. The blinds where always falling off so we taped them back on. This solved the problem. The pool had an infestation of worms and was unfit for swimming. The pool cleaner came the next day and explained the last few days had been heavy rain and the worms where the reason for this. We could not use the pool for 4 hours until the chemicals dissolved. So we basically lost 2 days use, we didn't complain. The owners/ manager were aware of our booking, so should have been checked properly. The waste disposal was stinking and choked, we used a plunger to loosen MUCK and we purchased cleaner for it. The towels where mainly stained so used my own, when I used washing machine I think the problem laid there as it didn't take out stains from our clothes that are simply removed in my own machine. The toilet flush downstairs kept filling so wasted water. The upstairs double room was clean but, the valance on bed was severely ripped and hanging on floor. The head board banged on wall when we turned over at night. We had to put pillows between headboard and wall to stop waking girls. I could go on with the problems encountered, but felt it was overall a good villa albeit, not as pristine as my own home. I wrote thanking owner for allowing us to rent their beautiful home, so when we got an email stating they where not returning deposit because of damage, we where shocked with their reasons. Sheets where stained and bedcover also caused by food! - this was in both rooms upstair and they alleged that my children took food into rooms. I thought all bedding was washed and replaced when new people arrived?we had been there 2 weeks and nothing was damaged or abused. I slept in double room up stairs, 1 child in single and the other girl downstairs as she has a broken leg and could not use the stairs. I vehemently deny anyone eating upstairs. They also stated rugs in each bedroom where also stained. There was never any rugs in any of the rooms, through my video of the home I see three rugs in downstairs bathroom, and also 1 in lounge leading to pool area. My daughter also cut her foot on glass in the outside patio, it was a small slither and we looked for more glass, but to be safe we hosed the area down. It saddened me that they used such silly twaddle to keep deposit. It has ruined our memories of this holiday.

A great villa with good facilities in an excellent location

A nice and spacious villa, well decorated and well maintained. It backs-up onto a quiet golf fareway with tall trees behind it (exactly as shown in the pictures we saw before we got there) providing privacy and natural surroundings (we spent a number of our mornings having breakfast by the pool). The property is clean and well maintained and so are all the Laundry provided on site. The location is ideal for families wishing to stay in a quiet location buty with easy access to disney The Owner and the maintenance company are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Another good stay in the Highlands

House was clean, well stocked and accurately represented.Pool area was well maintained with plenty of pool furniture.Grill was clean and worked well. Had a minor problem with a 10 hour power outage that was eventually corrected. One pool problem that was addressed very quickly. Very happy with the property manager. Would recommend this property.

Very nice house with all necessary amenities. Great location, especially if you golf. Very quiet neighborhood. John and Kathy were very easy to get a touch with to resolve a couple of things that came up.Would definitely go back if available when returning to Orlando area.

Haus ganz schön, leider ist die Beschreibung fehlerhaft

Grundsätzlich hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Allerdings war die Beschreibung des Inserats fehlerhaft. Pool war nicht beheizt und hätte laut "CheckIn Ordner" der auf dem Tisch auslag pro Tag 25$ gekostet -. entgegen der Beschreibung, dass der beheizte Pool inklusiv ist. Auch sonst war die Poolinnenwand sehr abgenutzt und zersplittert. Grundsätzlich war das Haus sehr schön, und wir würden es auch nochmal buchen. Allerdings ist das Haus auch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, sodass der Preis von 1,692€ für 7 Nächte schon zu den teureren Häusern zählte.

Pleasent and presentable

We had a great stay. The house contained everything we needed for a pleasant stay. When we had a question about how something worked, we got a fast and nice answear from the owners. Only minus was that we could hear the aircon start during night and the pool pump start in the morning If we where going to Florida again, we would not hessite to book this house again.

Family vacation

Enjoyed the view of sunrise from pool deck. Lots of room for our group. Had a couple of issues during stay but quick response from owners and remedied and didn’t affect our stay. Lots of games for children to play. Enjoyed watching golfers on 18th hole. Kitchen well equipped…liked the ice maker in fridge. Quiet neighborhood.

Loved our stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay ,being on the golf course was nice with nobody behind you and a view of the 18th hole on the golf course couple nights we just sat and relaxed and enjoyed the pool watched people on their approach shot to the 18th hole . Being golfers ourselves we enjoyed golfing the course that was within walking distance to the clubhouse. The house was very clean. There was a game room with a pool table air hockey table and foosball table. Our new grandson loved the hot tub at 3 months old and the pool was warm enough for him to be in also. The heated pool was so nice just hot enough to not make it feel uncomfortable when you got in but cool enough to be refreshing love the pool. And Disney being close was great about 35 minutes with no traffic maybe about 45 or more during rush hour. just never went at rush hour time. The house had everything we needed toilet paper paper towel dish soap for washing dishes laundry soap for doing laundry that made it nice not getting there and having no toilet paper or paper towel in the house I have rented houses before we're coming off the road from a long road trip and having no toilet paper was an issue but not at this house it was so nicely set up and supplied. Having the master bedroom downstairs and the other bedrooms upstairs was nice my son and his wife and child had their own place upstairs. And the bathroom for them was upstairs so they could feel comfortable walking around in pajamas without anybody else around.

Why they chose this property

Our first criteria on house hunting was a south facing pool with a spa. When we saw this home on the golf course, John was in love. Needless to say, he enjoys golf and I find it frustrating! But after spending 2 weeks at this villa I changed my mind. Sitting outside with a cup of coffee and a book in the morning while watching the golfers is a calming experience.

What makes this property unique

The pool area overlooking the 18th hole is a plus! Don't need to play golf just watch it 100 yards away. AND if you're a SPACE-X fan you can see the launch from the pool deck.
