Oban Arklow

It would be difficult to improve on either this location or the home nestled within it. The grounds are spacious and well maintained and the facilities are more than adequate. How many places in the World have a private access to a beach?? Additionally, there are many interesting places to visit on the doorstep of this house/home, and the countryside wherever you travel is breathtaking. Generally Oban has everything anybody would wish to have a for a family break/holiday. It certainly comes highly recommended from all of us who stayed in this little treasure.

Stay at Brittas

The property was perfect for our group, completely furnished and fully equipped with everything we needed. The host was very helpful and checking in and out was easy. The position was spectacular, and the weather was sunny enough to use the garden furniture and go down to the beach directly from the garden. We were lucky to see a grey seal pup and mother on the beach - magical. Would definitely recommend.

Overall very good. House was very clean and spacious. Parking available for at least 3 cars .having our own private beach was awesome and the view out to the see was therapeutic. Lovely surrounding countryside not far from the town of Arklow .

Great location, needs maintenance and a clean.

Lovely location, great size for our family group but felt very tired and needed a good clean. No pictures of the bathrooms on the listing and they were in need of decorating and maintenance. We had a good time as the location and layout were great for us, but just felt disappointed with how it is all presented. The overall impression when we arrived was downbeat, but we got over it as the week went on and liked the house and it's views.

Our second trip to this wonderful cottage. Unbeatable location, amazing views and beach. Miss waking up to the sound of the waves gently breaking on the beach. A good week relaxing with family.

Lovely place and amazing views

We had a lovely stay in County Wicklow. The place was as described with plenty of space and very comfy for just hanging out and enjoying a bit of time off. The location was great and worked well for several visits around Ireland. Thanks to Joe for letting us stay

Peaceful sea view location but we'll connected

This was a very quiet peaceful sea view property however, was so close to the amenities of Arklow and quick access to the N11 motorway for day trips. Perfect base for a safe and family friendly visit to the Wicklow region.

Beachside Beauty

A simply heavenly stay in a little slice of beachy beauty. Lovely rolling garden well maintained with picturesque pathway to your own private beach shared with one other house. Oban is an idyllic retreat with the sound of rolling waves & birdsong all round. The bonus is that there are so many attractions nearby. Will certainly be back. Michael & Crew

A wonderful week away in a gorgeous location

We had a wonderful week away with all the family (7 people in total) in this gorgeous cottage. It was clean, spacious, well laid out with the most wonderful location and its own private beach. The photos on HomeAway site are lovely but do not show the true beauty of the place. Waking each morning to the sound of waves with the opportunity to stroll along the beach before breakfast - idyllic. Each of us had the opportunity to enjoy the cottage in our own way, by walking, reading, playing music, enjoying the peace and tranquility. We all had a great time and hope to return before long!

Beautiful house with splendid views

Stayed here whilst visiting family over Xmas. Lovely property with views over the Irish Sea and own beach! Well appointed with all required facilities and lovely kitchen. Despite winter our stay was very warm but we didn’t need to light the open fire as weather very mild. Would like to come back in the summer in the future.

Absolut empfehlenswertes Haus :-)

Thanks Joe for the great vacation. We really enjoyed our stay in your house!

Wonderful place to stay for all the family

We stayed at Oban for a week for a multi-generational family holiday. The house is spacious and really well equipped with everything you need. Our children loved sleeping in the bunk beds and playing on the table football. The garden is large and great for children, plus there is a large decking area for dining out and enjoying the sun. The private beach is beautiful and really special. We swam in the sea and spent hours on the beach. The nearby town of Arklow has lots of good facilities and is only a short drive away. There is lots to do in County Wicklow, we loved Glendalough, Powerscourt Gardens and Waterfall and Clara Lara fun park. Thank you for a great holiday!

Herbsturlaub

A beautiful place to start a golf holiday

Fully furnished house . We were especially very positive about the glasshouse at the gardensite. Even when the weather was less sunny one could stay there very good, That place invites for pleasant chats and drinks. .Kitchen, living room, bedrooms and bathrooms were up to our standards. I will not hesitate to recommend the house to friends. We think its an excellent place between a lot a very beautifull irish golf courses. Very good for week golf in the Greystone area and close enough to Dublin for a Citytour

Family re union.

We had a great family reunion and the house was perfect for the get together. The view was great and walking on the beach was relaxing. We found the home to be close to town and most of the attractions we wanted to visit. The bird life in the garden was fantastic, we even had a fox visit us on a couple of occasions, not something we see in Canada. The two weeks went quickly and we had no problems what so ever. It is a home that I would come back to again.

Our kids love the beach & having the Bridgewater Shopping Centre so close by, means that we are never short of things to do. A great hangout for the larger family gatherings - just 50 mins from Dublin but it seems like it's another world.
