Brilliant villa, highly recommended

We had a great week in the villa. The swimming pool was lovely and kept our kids entertained for hours. It was nice to be able to cook and eat in the outdoor kitchen and, as many have already said, we only used the actual house for sleeping. The host was lovely too. .

Hitting the sweet spot

For us, this was a perfect location and a gorgeous villa. Walking distance from all the facilities you need (local shops, large supermarket, restaurants, taxi rank) and the beach, whilst still being pretty private. The hosts were lovely, even buying us a cake and a bottle of fizz. We made the mistake of getting concerned about the power bill (which is charged in addition to the rental cost) and so we didn't make much use of the air con. In retrospect this was a mistake on our part, as the power turns out to be pretty cheap, and we wished we'd had it on at night. Great time had by all, and we'd definitely go back.

Beautiful Villa

This is a beautiful traditional Mallorcan villa. A very warm greeting from owner Toni with wine, water and cake. The outside area with the pool and BBQ is absolutely perfect.

We are a family of 6 with a toddler of 2 years and grandparents. The villa was as described and in an excellent location. Toni was very helpful and we would definitely recommend the villa.

This was absolutely perfect. Plenty of space for the five of us and the vila had everything we needed. Loved the outdoor kitchen and we ended up using this the majority of the time. The owners were lovely and really helpful. The villa is perfectly placed with the beach and restaurants just a 5 minute walk (some even closer)and Portocolom a very pleasent 15-20min walk. There are two nice smaller beaches around the opposite side to the bay of Portocolom which you might want a car to get to but they are worth a visit and are quieter than Cala Marçal. That being said, Cala Marçal never felt touristy and seemed to be a good mix of nationalities including Spanish and locals. Will definitely be returning.

Bathrooms are not en suite. House is very old fashioned. Air con for bedrooms not efficient. The pool and outside area is superb. Outside kitchen and dining space. Lovely large and well maintained pool. Great location close to town and the beach.

Lovely stay

Just returned from a lovely 6 night holiday at this villa. Everything was great, we didn’t spend much time inside as the weather was so nice, but all the indoor facilities were good and there was plenty of room for our party of 5. The best part about the property is the outdoor space, it was perfect and I dont think the photos do it justice. We spent most of our time outside by the pool, plenty of room and a lovely size pool. Outdoor kitchen and BBQ were well equipped and a lovely space to sit out and have meals. The hosts were great, very helpful and check in and check out went very smoothly. The villa is within walking distance to restaurants and supermarkets. Couldn’t fault anything (apart from the mosquitos 🙉😉) Would definitely go back to this properly. Wonderful hosts, thanks for having us 😁

Lovely break

We had a great week here, the villa itself was beautiful the outside area being the best we have had yet. Plenty of sun beds and the pool is really big. On day 2 we realised the kettle and hot plate were not working, we let Tony and cati know and they brought new ones straight away. Maybe could do with more utensils for cooking we did notice. Plenty or restaurants in walking distance and a lovely beach and port. Thankyou for having us.

Amazing out door space

I can’t speak highly enough of this villa. The outdoor space is so amazing we only went inside to sleep. There is a toilet, shower, kitchen including dishwasher and fridge freezer out there. Plenty of seating, shade and sun beds. The pool is also massive and beautifully kept. Garden is full of towers and well maintained. The villa inside is very Spanish looking but I like that as I think it has character. The owners were amazing, so hospitable and helpful. Couldn’t do enough for us. We didn’t have a car but a small spa shop is a 2 min walk and a big shop a 10min walk. Beach is about 5 min and is lovely. Port area is great for evening strolls and restaurants. We walked to a very rural beach one day called Cala brafi which was amazing snorkelling (we saw an octopus) and as we were there at 8am we had the beach to ourselves. We took a taxi to Cala d’or for beach and shopping as a day trip. We also went on a 3 hour boat trip that went round the coast and let you snorkel in some gorgeous spots. So I’m in short I highly recommend.

Relaxing and Peaceful Portocolom

Beautiful property in a very good location being close to both Portocolom and Cala Marsal. 5 minutes walk to both. Good variety of restaurants all within walking distance. The outside space with beautiful pool and gardens is where we spent all of our time. Parts of the decor in the villa is a little dated, but this didn't detract from us all thoroughly enjoying our holiday. Thank you Toni and Cati

Beautiful villa

We stayed in this property as two couples with young babies. The villa is beautiful and the outside space is the highlight. The owners communication was fantastic, they sent me all the information I needed about facilities for the babies and even purchased two high chairs for our stay. They met us at the property and took my husband to the supermarket and waited whilst he got some supplies, lovely couple. The pool area is fantastic and this is where we spent all our time, we literally only used the villa for sleeping. There is a full kitchen etc outside which is ideal. Location is great - don’t need a car to explore the local area. Shops and cafes 2 minutes walk away and a lovely beach 5 minutes walk. For young children a couple of things to note - the pool (although amazing) goes very deep immediately after the steps so there is not much room for young children to stand. Also the air con is in the corridor, not in individual bedrooms so we did find the rooms got hot at night and we had to leave the doors open. However we couldn’t fault our stay and had a wonderful time!

Perfect holiday

As everyone has said, the pool is the highlight of this villa. Excellent location too. We did hire a car and it was great to be able to see much of the island. Loved Palma. Well worth a visit. Would definitely return. Thank you Cati and Toni. It was most definitely worth all the stress of COVID tests and forms to stay here.

Lovely stay in beautiful villa

We loved the spacious plot and pool and garden area. It's a very relaxing quiet place with plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Portocolom is very pretty and we wished we'd spent longer exloring it or perhaps hiring bikes. We hired a car to get from the airport and it was a straightforward drive taking a little less than an hour (very quiet roads). However, once at the villa we didn't really need it as everything is so close by. Toni and Cati are very friendly and helpful and easy to contact. It is also good to know that Toni's mum is next door in case of any problems. She was a lovely lady and did pop by a couple of times to check everything was okay (we also enjoyed her beautiful piano playing!). We had plentiful clean towels (as well as towels for the pool) and the washing machine was also useful if only bringing hand baggage. We did have some rain which meant that we did use the upstairs rooms and it might have been good to have a kettle upstairs as well as in the kitchen by the pool. I think some items naturally made their way to the other kitchen since that is where most people spend their time so there was a bit of going back and forth). But in the summer months you shouldn't have to use it at all so not really a problem. I thought the villa was one of the prettiest in the area with its lovely tiles and green shutters and the pool was fabulous (a little cold at the end of October but once you were in, it was fine!). The barbecue is superb and charcoal was left for us to use. There weren't any other food items e.g. Salt, pepper, oil etc so you will have to get them if you plan on cooking. All in all a lovely relaxing half term week and I'd love to visit again especially in the summer!

Wonderful Villa

We had a fantastic holiday, Villa was everything you would want. The outside area was absolutely brilliant, we spent all our time there, the pool was the largest I’ve seen in a private villa, very clean, great temperature and a great depth, with the kitchen, toilet and shower all beside the pool we only used the villa for sleeping! Our hosts were great, readily in touch if needed, flexible on check in / check out times. Supermarket 2 mins away, large supermarket 10 mins walk, restaurants & bars 2 minutes away but no noise at the actual villa. Fabulous beach 5-7 mins walk away. I would have preferred aircon in each bedroom as you had to leave bedroom doors open to get the benefit from the aircon in the hall but that wouldn’t stop me returning to this villa next year! Great pool area in a handy location

As with the other reviews, the pool area with outside kitchen/diner is the biggest selling point. You don't really need to use the main house apart from sleeping. If you do want to venture away, it's in a convenient location. 10 mins walk to the more busy resort style of Cala Marcal and about 15 mins to the harbour of portocolom. Shops and supermarkets are all nearby. Considering you're in the middle of town, it's a surprisingly quiet neighbourhood too. The owners Toni and Cati were always quick to respond to any queries and were really helpful. Would happily return here and recommend to anyone.

A lovely villa with a fabulous pool

The villa was spacious with the bedrooms downstairs and a large balcony which was great for dancing on when the sun had gone down. However the star of the show was the large pool and pool kitchen/covered dining area. We had a great time and would highly recommend this villa to anyone. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. Definitely 5+ stars.

Poolside heaven

We lived outside for the whole week. Everything we needed was in the outdoor kitchen. The pool was excellent. Great depth for the kids diving. The bedrooms and bathrooms were fine. We didn’t really use the rest of the house which was lovely.

Perfect for a relaxing holiday

We booked this holiday as we all needed a relaxing break and we couldn’t have asked for more. The property is in a great location in a quiet residential area just a short walk to the beach and local restaurants and a nice 10 minute walk along the sea front to the main harbour and restaurants. The property has everything you need but it was the pool area that was amazing and made our holiday perfect. Our hosts were very welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful. We travelled with older teenage children and we have all said we are looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you to Toni, Cati and your lovely family.

Amazing Villa

Toni and Cati were super hosts and the villa was in a wonderful position , so central. But really our holiday was all about the pool and staying here meant we could relax , swim and eat by a stunning pool , listening to the beautiful accomplished Piano playing. Perfect

Best Surroundings

We spend our summer hollidays in this lovely house. we have nothing bad at all to say... we absolutely loved it ! The pool, where spent most of our time, is big, and the water quality is good. The house, which we only used the bedroom's in, are also nice and cool... There's a max of 5-10 minutes walk for beach, grocery shopping or just a nice view from the cliffs at the and of the street.. Family summer Holiday

We stayed at this lovely villa in late August 2017. We were a family of 6 including my husband and I, our two children aged 3 and 7 and their 2 grandparents. It suited us perfectly! It is not a massively touristy area, but still has everything in the town that you could possibly need and has a nice relaxed atmosphere and feels very safe. Transfer from the airport was an easy 45-50 mins by taxi and we didn't need a car when we were there as all the shops, restaurants and lovely beach were in easy walking distance for both the young and old alike. The villa itself is lovely, but the real gem is the pool area. We literally lived outside by the pool as all the equipment and facilities you really need are right out by the pool. We only used the villa to sleep and the upper terrace for an evening drink and the rest of the time were out down by the pool. It was a fantastic week of outdoor living which the whole family embraced. The owners Cati and Toni were also really lovely both during the booking process, answering numbers questions, and recommending reliable airport taxi right through the very warm welcome on our arrival. Toni's mum also kindly checked on us in the week to ensure we had everything we needed. The whole family agreed it was a fabulous relaxing and special holiday. Its not often you go somewhere on holiday and it exceeds your expectations, but this really did! Thank you for having us to stay Cati and Toni!
