July Break

This property was an excellent base to explore Londonderry and surrounding area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is also well stocked with utensils and we found we had everything we needed. It felt like a real home from home. Our daughters especially enjoyed seeing the dairy cows outside the windows ! Robert and Elaine were extremely welcoming and helpful. Their advice about the local area was invaluable . We would love to visit Ireland again and would definitely stay here .

Couldn’t have asked for more

When we arrived it was freezing cold outside but Elaine had already put the heating on, which made it feel cosy and homely, she left milk in the fridge and a cake on the side. The property was spotless and more spacious than we thought and very well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. It’s very close to the town and easy to get to. We had a flat tyre on the day we were leaving Elaine and Robert did everything could to get us going again. I’d highly recommend this property and Elaine & Robert as hosts you won’t be disappointed

Perfect Stay

Cracking location and lovely hosts. Our children were really interested in the dairy farm and Robert involved them all the time. The cottage was comfortable and clean and had everything you could possibly want. Elaine was very helpful with where to go and what to do. We couldn’t have wished for a better stay and thoroughly recommend the cottage to anyone looking to visit the delights of Northern Ireland but also venture west into Donegal.

Great base, so handy!

Out in the country, but 10 mins drive from Derry city-location was epic. Great touring base for North and West Donegal. House was spacious and clean. Beds were comfy. Kitchen had everything you could want and more. Hosts very friendly and helpful. We had a bit of a washout of a week, but we still did a lot including Inishowen and Glenveagh as well as a girlie shopping day in Foyleside! All in all, we would return.

Brilliant!!! 5 Star Highly recommend!

Elaine was a wonderful host and the cottage was HUGE and absolutely beautiful. Our family of 5 stayed there for 2 nights and I wish it had been a week. Home baked cupcakes, views of rolling hills with cows and calves. Elaine went above and beyond to help us find a whale watching tour guide and give us any other info we were looking for. I would definitely go back and highly recommend. It's only a couple of minutes drive from the town centre but out of the way enough to be completely peaceful and surrounded by country views. Thanks!!

Great Place

This is a great place to stay. A working dairy farm, Ii is situated in a beautiful valley with green fields and nature all around but within a 10 minute drive of Derry city center. Elaine and Robert were perfect hosts, going out of their way to help, even going so far as to take us to the bus when we were taking a trip and picking us up again. The cottage was beautifully kept and quiet. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Derry.

Fantastic!!!

Without a doubt our favorite place to stay during our visit! Perfect for families! I have four kids (1,3,6, and 8) and they were SO accommodating with our specific needs. The fact that it is actual working diary farm is incredible! The house itself was very spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. It is very quiet. You definitely need a car, but it is worth the few minutes into town to have such beauty around. Would go back in a second!

Lovely farm cottage

Spacious property, with several vintage antique features. The owner lives on property and popped over several times, including at check-in. She was very friendly and offered good advice on local restaurants and sight-seeing. Beware of the hot water heater, which only runs on a timer. We took a night of freezing showers until Elaine explained how it worked! The cottage is in the back of a working farm, but we were never disturbed by any of the goings-on. Its quiet and rural, but near enough to Derry to be able to zip in easily, or head out to places more removed.

Favorite place in Ireland

This farm could be my forever home. The house is spotless and warmly furnished for cozy comfort yet conveniently modern. Large picture windows look out on green pastures with grazing cows and one lucky bull. Elaine and Robert are so friendly and gladly share their stories about Irish farm life. Robert is fifth generation farmer on this historic property. Of all the places we stayed, Drumcorn Farm is definitely our favorite.

Fantastic location and great cottage!

The cottage was immaculately clean, cozy, and within a 10-minute drive of the city centre. Would absolutely stay here again and will be recommending it to anyone else who needs a place to stay while they’re in Derry. Also, being able to watch all the cows walk by our window in the evening was very cool!

We loved this cottage and the hosts!

What a delightful experience! We stayed here after our other rental cancelled us at the last minute and we could not have been more pleased that we had the opportunity to stay here. It was just two of us and we loved everything about this lovely cottage. It is close enough to Derry to get there quickly and easily yet it feels remote enough to be thoroughly restful and rejuvenating. The location is stunning with views all around of the countryside. Every morning the cows parade by the windows which is such a delight. The cottage itself is warm, welcoming and feels like home. It is incredibly well provisioned so we were able to easily make meals. Elaine and Robert are welcoming and friendly and very helpful hosts. We highly recommend staying here, you will absolutely love it.

Must Stay for Derry/Londonderry

We had an amazing stay! Robert and Elaine were phenomenal hosts, checked on us regularly, offered directions/recommendations, and even left us a lovely apple pie. Absolutely gorgeous location, spacious house, and perfect accommodations for me, my husband, my mother in law, and our 9 month old (she had a baby cot and high chair ready for us). Very close to the city center (a short 10 min drive), beautiful sweeping views of rolling green pastures- a postcard would be jealous. I cannot recommend this property highly enough- we will absolutely be staying on our next trip.

Cream of the crop with a little drizzle on top :-)

Wonderful. Relaxing. Friendly, accommodating, generous hosts. Many thanks to Elaine and Robert for your warm welcome, for sharing your knowledge of the area, and answering all of our questions. We felt well taken care of with the benefit of a stand alone holiday property. The cottage is spacious and equipped with everything you need. We, like many others it seems, wish we had booked a longer stay at Drumcorn Farm Cottage. I couldn't recommend it more highly to anyone looking for a base in the Derry area. It is easy to day-trip from here to many tourist spots, hikes/walks, etc... in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The cottage has large windows with views of the fields and hills surrounding the farm. The dairy cows look as happy as the guests as we enjoy lemon drizzle cake and they enjoy the pasture. The cottage/house has ample parking spaces, a lovely garden, large rooms (all of them) and is on a good road. It is definitely one of the best holiday cottages we have ever stayed in.

Just like home

We could not have asked for a more perfect host than Robert, Elaine, and Oscar. We did not have a need or want for anything. Elaine had plenty of suggestions for places to eat and things to see. Robert made time for chats in between milking's. Oscar was as friendly as well and kept us busy playing fetch. The cottage was just like being at home. It was perfect for the six of us. Now that we are back in the States we can't stop saying Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. LOL
