Lovely stay in a lovely house

We had a wonderful stay in this beautifully decorated house. The hosts could not have been more helpful. It is so well situated, close to everything. The outside space really makes the stay complete. Just a few tiny extras would be useful, like a washing up brush, a rubbish bin and a half decent coffee machine, but these are tiny details in an otherwise great stay

Lovely, conveniently located traditional house

Lovely little house in an exceptional location. Only ten minute walk from the train station and minutes walk from the centre of Bruges.Though the property is on a certain generation so stairs are very steep, the roof is low in the top floor bedroom and property is quite cold. We visited in the middle of winter and it was a very cold couple of days and we struggled to heat the property up. This was the only reasn for the slight mark down.

Beautiful house and perfect location

Beautiful step-gabled house, very well-kept, in a perfect location. In a quiet street metres from Sint Salvator cathedral, but with the restaurants of Zand square just around the corner; and a short stroll from the railway station.

Excellent place to stay in Bruges

This is a really excellent property with a fantastic, welcoming host. The location is great, an easy walk to all the main central attractions of Bruges, a very manageable walk to the train station, but away from the mad crowds. The property itself was immaculate, perfect as either a large property for a couple or a small group. The kitchen has everything you'd need, and the bedrooms are comfortable and spacious. It was also lovely to have a Christmas tree in the living room, it felt so homely, much better than a hotel! Only thing to be aware of is the steepness of the stairs if you have mobility issues - we were fine but could imagine them being a little awkward for someone older or unsteady.

Midweek Stay with Baby

A wonderful 4 night stay midweek with my 6 month old baby and my mother. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. A cot and highchair for the baby were even provided. The apartment has a fireplace and a patio area so no matter what time of year you are there, it will be a lovely place to be. It has an excellent and well equipped kitchen which we used to cook dinner after my baby was in bed. It is situated in the old town just a short walk from all of the main sites and from the train station if you are arriving by train. You can drive to the apartment to drop off luggage and then park your car outside of the old town. Getting to the apartment by car is not obvious because there are so many one way streets in the old town. Google maps kept trying to send me down a closed road so ask the hostess for directions before you travel! It was easy once she explained the route. One thing to note is that the stairs to the first floor are very steep, closer to a ladder than a staircase. Also the room on the second floor has no door to the room, it just opens directly onto the staircase. As a result this may not be the best option for young children who are mobile. It's a wonderful apartment though so if can manage steep stairs, definitely stay here!

Wonderful week in Bruges

We two friends (aged around 80 !) found this house the perfect location for a leisurely week in Bruges. We did have worries about the steep stairs to the first floor, but we managed with careful walking and hanging on to the bannister. That was a tiny price to pay for such an original old house, decorated in the most charming country-house style. Everything was convenient, immaculate, and beautiful down to the smallest detail. We did have trouble with the lock on the first night, but neighbours helped us learn the trick, and we never had any problems after that. The hostess was most apologetic about our not being able to reach her by phone, and brought us chocolates to compensate ... once again, a little problem and a nice bonus in exchange. We would highly recommend this home to any visitor to Bruges.

Lovely stay in Bruges

My mother and I stayed in Bruges for 3 nights. The location is great - 10 minutes walk from the train station and just a few minutes to the center of Bruges. This made it easy to come and go during the day. The street is quiet and there is a sunny courtyard too. The house is quirky with lots of interesting decoration and nice touches. Steep stairs and you need to mind your head in the attic room. Warm and cosy and comfortable. Barbara met us on arrival and gave us tips for our visit as well as home made jam. Highly recommended place to stay!

A lovely House in Historic Brugge

A real find, a couple of minutes from food and other shopping. St John's Hospital and other Brugge museums less than 10 minutes. The house was a delight with furniture and decor complimenting it's historic character. Plenty of cutlery, towels and a TV with plenty of channels. Barbara our host let us know all about the house and offer suggestions, the one about the local Saturday Market was especially helpful. If I ever return to lovely Brugge then I know where to stay. Such a perfect property.

A Beautiful home from home- 5* host

We highly recommend , my partner and myself came to Bruge for a long weekend and booked this beautiful home , we were welcomed by the host herself , the home was stunning inside and very well kept ,equipped with all you need. Being in the centre of Bruge and a stones throw from shops , market square , museum and bars and restaurants we felt we got to enjoy both the house and the area equally . We loved the house and would definitely be booking again . The house would happily house 5 comfortably so maybe a trip back with the children is on the cards . We thank you for such a welcomed visit to such a wonderful City.

Our family of five had such a lovely stay at this charming house. Barbara welcomed our family as we arrived from London, and showed us around the place which was a nice touch. The home is very clean, well furnished, warm, welcoming and super convenient to everything in Bruges. Highly recommend... we will be back!

Authentic Brugge

This is a beautifully appointed small townhouse set over 3 floors. It is really well located in old Brugge meaning that you can walk everywhere. There are 2 excellent bedrooms and a comfortable living room with an inner courtyard just off the kitchen where you can eat if you want to. The stairs to the first floor are steep with narrow treads which adds to the charm but would make it difficult for anyone with mobility issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Wonderful little house in Bruges!

We stayed at the property for two nights and I would like to say a big thank you to Barbara for a wonderful stay. The property was lovely and beautifully decorated througout, including a Christmas Tree which made in very festive! Both bedrooms are lovely, large doubles with the attic having an additional bed so could be good for people with kids. Great little living room with fireplace and a kitchen if you wanted to cook. Stairs a little steep so watch out if you are elderly or have indulged in a few local beers! It was cold so we didnt use the courtyard but imagine it would be lovely to have breakfast out there in the Summer. Perfect location - 5 min stroll to everywhere and right next to the Saturday food market and the seasonal Christmas markets. Would highly recommend and hire again when back in Bruges - thank you!
