Four couples aged 60 plus were staying. The property was well-equipped and very comfortable with a plethora of bedrooms and bathrooms. Lots of parking space and it was in a beautiful location 12 minutes drive from Westport and two minutes walk from a beautiful coastal road on the side of Clew Bay. Causeway roads took you over to two small islands and if you went up a hill road on the first of these islands you got a beautiful elevated view of the Craogh Patrick and the many islands of Clew Bay in the setting sun. It was a great base from which to explore Westport, Clew Bay and Co Mayo generally and we all thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Biking the Achill to Newport Greenway on Electric bikes was spectacular and very safe and we thorougly enjoyed our visit to the Oyster Farm (Croagh Patrick Seafoods) which was only 3 miles away. A lovely and comfortable place to stay.
Excellent property… big gardens for kids to run around and places to have ‘adventures’ in. We even had an adults and kids game of rounders!
Secluded spot but was what we wanted.
Plenty of space indoors for all 16 of us. GF bedroom & en-suite was ideal for my parents who are in their mid 80s.
Beautiful home and property with well-equipped kitchen. Convenient location to towns and outdoor activities. The host was welcoming and very responsive. Perfect home for our family vacation.
Westport Coastal Lodge was the perfect vacation home for our group of 12 family members. Overlooking Clew Bay, the property is spacious, updated, and comfortable. Hosts Conor and Carol were very gracious and made sure we lacked for nothing. Nearly every bedroom had a great view and en suite bath. Can’t wait til our next trip to Ireland!
Our group was 13 people including nine siblings and some spouses. The house was beautiful and easily fit us all. The two kitchens were a big convenience. The views were incredible with plenty of parking. Great hikes from the house and easy for touring and a trip to Westport.
A wonderful property with stunning views of the bay and mountains and separate rooms and modern full bathrooms for all members of our party plus two kitchens, patio with grill and fire pit area — all of which we enjoyed. The O’Malleys were responsive and attentive but also gave us our privacy. Westport and Newport are nearby with music, shops and grocery. The bay is less than a mile walk. My brother and I also enjoyed the 5-mile walk into Westport, much of it along the Greenway, the rest along farm and wetlands. If that wasn’t enough, let me add that a member of our party forgot a substantial amount of cash in their room, and the O’Malleys contacted us to ensure its return.
Great house with amazing views , lovely fire and great bedrooms all with bathrooms which was great for a large family. Hosts were so accommodating and our family had a great stay.
Wonderful house in a beautiful quiet spot. Owner was lovely to deal with, provided a food hamper on arrival. House and kitchen nicely equipped. Highly recommend the property. Hope to stay here again at some point.
