Garden Cottage in stunning rural location but only 5 minutes from Taunton.
Architect's own stylish and spacious hideaway in glorious countryside with 7 acres of garden, meadow, woodlands and ponds to explore. The sittingroom has a log burner to keep you cosy in the winter months (as well as a full central heating system of course). The kitchen is open planned, small but well equipped. There are 2 bedrooms; the master bedroom has a double bed, lots of space and an ensuite bathroom whilst the family room has 2 double beds with a shower room just across the sittingroom. Outside there is a large deck opening onto the garden and there is plenty of parking space close to the property. Sorry, we can't accept pets.

Could not have wished for a better cottage to stay, in a location with grounds and views that invite you to wander and forget the world, yet in minutes there are all the amenities of a city. Perfect.
The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Great communication, helpful directions, very friendly. The very large garden is really something else, such a beautiful setting :)
Very relaxing break in rural Somerset. Warm and cosy property with two very large bedrooms and two bathrooms. Our kids aged 4,6 and 14 loved the gardens and the mini football pitch. Six acres to wander in and we saw a deer in the gardens which property.rerelaxed and
Pleasant property with lovely views from all the principal rooms.Small kitchen space next to large dining and lounge area.Rural location.Fairly easy to find, even in the dark.Property nicely presented, with a homely feel.Snug and warm. Some of the local lanes are a bit narrow. But once out of the lanes onto the main roads ok.We hope to return in the summer to explore the area more.
Loved this comfortable cottage in a beautiful location
We loved this place. It had comfortable beds, great family spaces and a beautiful garden with a view across fields. One of the best homes I've stayed in, I highly recommend it for a calming break with space for the kids to play outside.
I really didn't want to leave...
Very nice property to just relax and take in the wonderful scenery. A bit off the beaten track and narrow lanes to get there but it is great to get away from the rush and just chill.
Found this lovely property on line and it’s a truly lovely place, it’s quite secluded but had easy access to Taunton, the gardens were really lovely and the place was very clean and comfy, I can recommend staying here, the only negative would be the lack of Netflix
Really relaxing and enjoyable break. The cottage had everything we needed and the gardens were beautiful. We had special visitors ( cat and dog) which were loved. by the kids. Would recommend this place as it's a perfect location to visit North Somerset and South Devon as well as Taunton and surrounding areas
We found the Garden Cottage spacious, well-equipped and clean, together with being an ideal base for beautiful walks in the Somerset countryside. Equally, Taunton and Wellington are a few minutes drive away. The Half Moon pub in the village is a short walk away, with a delicious Sunday lunch available at a very reasonable price. We fully recommend this property to families and small groups.
The property is well equipped although some sharp kitchen knives would help in the kitchen. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Plenty of hot water and good heating.Great to sit in the garden or on the patio to look out over the garden and fields. Although out in the country it was very easy to get into Taunton to shop etc when needed. We stayed in March with lots of wind and rain and still enjoyed our stay. In the summer it will be wonderful if you want a quiet get away. Wifi signal is weak, the strongest signal being by the book shelves right of the fire place.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Mixed feelings
House situated in lovely quiet location however property not cleaned properly to receive new guests; cobwebs, dust and dead flies left in many places. Although owner tried to be helpful there was insufficient and intermittent Wi-Fi which was not apparent from the advertised amenities plus oven difficult to operate and cooking utensils quite worn out.
A very spacious and well appointed apartment in a lovely setting.
As above, this is a very spacious and well appointed apartment in a lovely setting, with all that one needs for a comfortable and enjoyable stay ... once one gets used to the narrow lanes!
Beautiful countryside cottage with large garden and 50 km view
Very easygoing owner living close, doing the maintenance of this large plot. Stayed for COVID quarantaine so great Living space And ability to walk the garden (park).
Dayly inspection of ten neighboring cattle herd is a nice bonus. We appreciated the quietness and tranquility.
