About this property

The Coach House -Cottage for two in the Peak District, access to High Peak Trail

The Coach House is a beautifully converted barn for two people in a courtyard setting, ideally located in the southern Peak District.

Enter the cottage into the modern kitchen, next to the kitchen is the lounge with a glorious picture window with views out into the courtyard. Enjoy a meal on the oak dining table in front of the picture window. Then relax in front of the crackling log burner - your first basket of logs are free and more can be purchased from ourselves after this! Down the hall way is the modern bathroom with bath, overhead shower and glass screen, a WC, sink unit and heated towel rail. And finally, at the end of your day, relax in the beautifully furnished bedroom with double bed, wardrobe, drawers, mirror and not forgetting the view through the glass door onto the patio and lawn area.

Explore the outdoors....we have our own direct access onto the High Peak Trail, perfect for those who love walking or cycling (bring your own bike and store in our secure cycle storage). Enjoy the surrounding Peak District - the stunning Chatsworth House is just a 25 minute drive away, Haddon Hall just 20 minutes. Visit the picturesque villages of Monyash, Youlgrave and Hartington on your way home or enjoy a walk around the nearby Carsington Water. Prefer something a little more adventurous? Travel a little further and visit Alton Towers, just 40 minutes away.

We are located centrally to the nearby towns of Matlock, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Buxton - all just a 20-25 minute drive away. All these towns have the major supermarkets along with their own unique shops.

Unfortunately, we do not accept pets in our cottage. And another thing to note is that we close over the festive period each year. We now have a new EV Charger. For a 7 night stay this is free to charge. Short breaks there is a charge to pay.

Perfect in Every Way

I have stayed in dozens of holiday homes in and around the Peak District over the years and I must say I have never stayed in such a well equipped and pristinely clean cottage! The gracious host Judith has thought of *everything*, and was very kind and communicative.Would definitely stay again.

Lovely location, beautiful apartment with high standard of furnishings

We had a lovely stay, the apartment was conveniently located to walks and cycle trails. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, we even had a welcome pack with local biscuits and cheese. I'd definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage. Great place to stay!

We will definitely be back for another visit! The cottage was one of the best we have stayed in. I believe they have been recently refurbished and the owners have done a great job of making them modern without losing the “cottage” feel. Really well stocked and spacious kitchen. Ideally located with access onto the High Peak Trail. Great for walking or getting out on bikes (and good storage provided for the bikes!). Thank you Judith for making us feel welcome.

Exceeded all expectations

Quite possibly the best kitted out place we've stayed in, so very well placed with wonderfully dark skies at night with easy access to local towns/suchlike. Can't wait to be back :)

Decor, comfort, facilities, location and host were all excellent.

Bike storage and access to the High Peak Trail added to a really great cottage. We will certainly recommend this cottage and the other cottages in the complex. Everything was well thought out, clean and well cared for. The owner was very helpful indeed.

Fantastic cottage for two in stunning setting.

Clean, warm , cosy , well equipped kitchen in a super setting. Loads of info in cottage about the local area and weather forecast. Nice local restaurant and walks straight from the cottage. Helpful owner upon arrival and great location for peace and quiet but within a short drive to Bakewell .

Fabulous, perfect

We stayed in The Coach house, an absolutely fantastic property for two people, perfectly kitted out for what you would need. Contemporary without feeling cold and sterile, amazing log burning fire in the lounge with a very comfy recliner sofa and chair which is what you need after a walk/bike ride. Absolutely ideal location, right on the high peak trail. We did a fantastic 35 mile bike ride one day using the high peak and tissington trail, then a 12 mile walk the next day. Great information provided in the property with useful suggestions for walks, bike rides, eating out etc. It was very quiet and peaceful but not too far to drive to the nearest town. The Waterloo in at Biggin is a 40 minute walk away and was a cosy pub which served some great food. I really can’t recommend Croft Farm enough, it exceeded all our expectations.

A really relaxed break

Lovely position and really well appointed with all we could want for in a self catering holiday. The area is so beautiful for walking , driving and cycling. we all had a great time and would love to return in the future. My only request would be for a mattress topper for the double bed. I like a firm mattress but I found it a bit too hard. Otherwise It was really lovely. Thank you.

Enjoyable stay

We really enjoyed our stay, everything about the property was of a very high standard. The property was very well equipped and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed the peace and quite. We were also well looked after by the owner who was helpful and provided any assistance required. One member of of party has a mobility problem, but the property presented no difficulties in that respect.

Amazing - look no further

We spent a lot of time looking for the perfect accommodation, thankfully in Trail View Cottage we found it. This converted barn is decorated to the highest spec, the kitchen is kitted out with all Bosch appliances and furnished in high quality wooden units and tables. The lounge is very comfortable with a lovely wood fire (just what you need after a lovely long walk in the peaks) the owner is extremely friendly and helpful and keeps the cottages immaculately clean. I would have no hesitation is recommending this converted barn for those looking for an exclusive cottage and quiet break

**Magnificent stay **

We have just returned from a four night stay at croft farm cottages (trail view bungalow) I cannot recommend croft farm enough, it's an absolutely beautiful setting. The cottages are to the highest standards and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Immaculately presented, modern, cosy and a perfect getaway for all. The area is quiet and peaceful and surrounded by open fields and has direct access to the Peak District trail, which is breathtaking. The owner Judith was extremely helpful from the offset and went out of her way to make sure our trip was just perfect. We can't wait till return already. Thank you
