Dori and Los Limones are two picturesque conjoint cottages, rented together, with all mod cons - two for the price of one! The property has the ideal location: only a short, 400 m walk from the edge of the town of Orgiva along a tarmacked road, yet with rural ambiance. Surrounded by its large landscaped garden and surrounded by orchards, not overlooked by any neighbours, with its secure parking inside the walled property, Casita Dori boasts peace and privacy.

Casita Dori provides perfect holiday accommodation for a family with older children, or for perhaps a group of friends. The two cottages are always rented together, with the exclusive use of the pool for you and your party, and even if you only wish to use one of the cottages, the other cottage will remain empty during your stay.

The cottages sleeps 4 in 2 double bedrooms, which are air-conditioned. There are 2 bathrooms, one in each cottage, with Internet in both.

A disappointing experience

We go to Spain every February and were looking forward to this years trip to Orgiva but it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. Lots of issues including: 1.Bad communication from owner, badly copied and pasted emails with wrong names and holiday details. 2. Property in centre of town , not a rural location, and concerns about property safety. 3. Very steep and narrow driveway to enter property need good driving skills to access. 4. No hot water to one villa ( boiler needed re-lighting) but still only luke warm rest of week. 5 . Battery bleeping in bedroom smoke alarm, lounge one missing despite huge fire risk of many plugs and extension leads plugged into sockets. Manager brought wrong sized batteries to replace. 6. No carbon monoxide alarm despite a wood burner, that smoked so much on the first day we couldn't use, not good in a chilly February. 7.Lack of equipment in kitchen and no cleaning products , much needed as bathroom smelt of cat pee. 8. Swimming pool out of use , despite being advertised , only told a few days before we arrived. 9. No wi/fi . Rude communication from owner accusing us of breaking router , wanting us to deal with repair company and wait in for them. Its a shame as it could be great, cottages are lovely and beautifully decorated and in stunning grounds with a large choice of outside areas, we ate breakfast outside every day.It just felt like it had been shut up for winter and not much care given to re-opening it for guests .

Lovely house and location

Excellent location - Orgiva town is just down the road. Pool was fantastic and there's space outside for barbecue etc. There's a covered area by the main door and a great view towards the Sierra Nevada mountains. Plenty of walks from the door too. We had a great 2 weeks here and would happily return.

Fantastic June break

Dori and Los Limones provided just what was needed for a relaxing and comfortable June break for my partner and our adult daughter. Owner Anda couldn't have been easier to deal with and local manager Carmen was super helpful and made our stay stress free. The property itself is even better in reality than the listing's photos suggest - set in well kept flower and fruit filled gardens with multiple terraces and seating areas and a decent sized private swimming pool. Peaceful and private behind its own walls and gates the property is still just a few minute's easy walk from the shops, bars and restaurants of Orgiva and made a great base for both relaxing and exploring further afield including a visit to the magnificent Alhambra in Granada. In short I have no hesitation in recommending this as a great property and one that I would happily rent again.

A lovely spot - great for relaxing or exploring

This property is in a great location, just five minutes' stroll from the centre of Orgiva but utterly tranquil. It was perfect for a family with teenagers (or for two couples) as everyone had their own space. The separate sections might not be so well suited to a family with younger children. The garden is absolutely heavenly, with citrus trees providing wonderful scent and wonderful fruit juice for our breakfast each morning. We loved the pool and the barbecue area and the expansive views. We had a couple of maintenance issues during our week at the property, but these were dealt with quickly and efficiently by Carmen, the property manager, who was unfailingly helpful and friendly. We loved it!

Casa on the edge

Our second stay in Òrgiva in this trip did not disappoint. The villa is clean and tidy with a fantastic view from the covered balcony. The pool and garden areas are in fantastic condition and a welcome relief from the summer sun. The bedroom with air con is comfortable as are the beds.

Lovely house in Orgiva

We had a lovely stay at the property. The outside area is beautiful with wonderful views. The town is an easy walk and is full of good restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Being coeliac we were very impressed with even the smallest supermarket stocking a gluten free range. The pool was wonderful and the air conditioning much appreciated in the August heat. Pre check in and arrival were very efficient. We had a lovely week and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Wonderful break in the spectacular hills of the

This is a truly lovely house with beautiful gardens and pool. There is everything you need and the house is beautifully kept and clean. We had a large amount of space for two adults and two grown up children. Anda was incredibly helpful in setting up our visit and providing all the information needed to enjoy the house and surrounding area. Carmen was also very accommodating in booking us in especially given we arrived very late in the evening. I couldn't recommend this house highly enough, thank you for a splendid stay.

Not as Good as we had hoped

The villa itself is positioned at the top of a very steep hill and my hire car had great trouble getting up the hill, so much so we had to exchange it for another model. Parking is a right pain, think electric gates would be big improvement, but it is a very tight space to manouvere your car. We had no hot water for the first 2 days but Carmen was very helpful in trying to resolve this. Couldn`t use the pool because of the weather so bit of a waste of time staying here as this and the garden were the 2 great features of the villa.

What a great find.

We have just come back from a wonderful stay at this lovely villa. We closed the gates and were impressed with such great views and privacy. The gardens have lime, lemon and almond trees. Lovely peaceful setting, with the bonus of both villas and a great pool. Picked fresh limes for our gin and tonics. Short walk into town with its lovely tapas bars, restaurants and good supermarkets. We had booked a month long Caribbean cruise for early 2019 but after our stay here my wife has suggested we cancel that and come back to this villa for a month instead. We have decided to do this. Everything you want in a holiday and we have already booked for next year .. Thank you Anda.

Beautiful property in a fantastic place

This is a lovely property on the outskirts of Orgiva. Very quiet and peaceful and just a short walk into town. The gardens are beautiful and full of orange trees and it was so nice just sitting in the sun having a glass of wine relaxing after hard days cycling. The owner was very efficient and provided excellent instructions for us and Carmen the local manager was lovely and very helpful. We will definitely be back again!

Lovely villa and pool, great for October sunshine!

Well equipped and comfortable villa with attractive fruit filled garden and a beautiful pool, we were swimming every day at the end of October! Carmen, the local manager looks after the villa very well, and is friendly and helpful. The secluded location is only a few hundred yards from the edge of town and the closest bar - drinks with tapas for two for less than 5 euros! Several small supermarkets and plenty of restaurants and cafes in the town, with friendly welcoming people. Good local walking, and interesting places to visit within an easy drive - we went to the Alhambra Palace in Granada, and up the mountain roads to the "white villages" - the Thursday morning market made it a good day to stay in Orgiva.

A piece of paradise in rural Andalucia!

I have had a lovely time at Casita Dori with my friends. The house is very private and not overlooked, surrounded by gardens but just of the edge of town. Casita Dori is just few minutes’ walk from the centre of Orgiva, and in the opposite direction, in no time at all you can also have a wonderful evening stroll up the hill where you have a very good view of the whole town and also of Sierra Nevada mountains. The cottages are cozy and well equipped with attention to detail. I particularly enjoyed the big terrace overlooking the pool with the panoramic view of the Lujar Mountain. When I enjoyed my solitary walks, my friends preferred to just laze by the pool in the garden full of fruit. We all swam every day even though it was the end of October. If you need anything, Carmen who looks after the house is very helpful.

Magical situation

We travelled as a couple and 15 year old son. Fantastic villa, the pictures don't do it enough justice. The villas have the charming old Spanish style but with all the amenities needed. Wifi even able to be picked up at the pool and garden areas. Large bedroom area in Dorita. Our son loved his independent villa, hardly saw him! Pool deep so would not suit very young children. Gardens were delightful, beautifully laid out with grapefruit and oranges for breakfast and lemons for gin! Very peaceful, only the sounds of the birds, chickens, donkey and the odd dogs. Short walk to the town with a short steep hill just before the villa. Orgiva may not be the prettiest but enough shops, bars and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Flexible Accommodation in a Wonderful Paradise

We had previously stayed in one of Anda Tolkan’s properties (Casa Rosada – another wonderful holiday option within walking distance of Orgiva), so we knew that we would be well looked after. Every aspect of the booking, payment and planning arrangements was made so clear and straightforward by Anda, including clear directions to Orgiva. Anda’s local manager Carman met us promptly when we arrived in Orgiva and escorted us right to Casitas Dori and Los Limones. Carmen and her husband are available via a phonecall throughout the holiday if you have any issues and always respond quickly and efficiently. No matter how great you think the property looks from the photos, I promise you it is even better when you get there. The separate garden areas are connected by a number of flower covered walkways and everywhere you look there is a new and interesting feature. There is plenty of room for large groups to be together but also quiet spots if you want to escape from the crowd. We visited this time with our 16 year old son who stayed in the smaller of the properties. This is actually connected to the larger property and feels really secure and safe. It was great for him as he felt independent (especially with the Internet access in both properties !).With separate toilets and showers etc, we almost felt we were holidaying alone, but knowing our son was safe and with us. Both properties have all the facilities you need to make your holiday run smoothly, including UK based TV channels (if you really need to keep track of the soap operas !), but we spent every evening either in Orgiva or outside on one of the many terraces. Orgiva is an easy 5 minute walk down a safe and secure road that rarely has any cars on it, so there is no need to use your car unless you’re venturing further afield. There are plenty of well stocked Supermarkets in Orgiva and enough bars and restaurants to give you a range of options no matter how long you stay. This really does offer everything you could want from a holiday property; modern amenities, exotic and useable gardens and pool, peace and tranquillity and a picture postcard town within easy walking distance. You won’t regret making a booking here.

Beautiful farmhouse

This was our first stay in the beautiful casitas Dori and Los Limones of Anda Tolkan. Anda is a great owner; she is looking after her guests by making sure everything is what the pictures promise you. At the house, Luis the gardener does a wonderful job; the garden is beautiful with all the flowers and fruit trees. Carmen and her husband are there to welcome you and give you a little tour around the house. As the houses are separate you have lots of room and individuality. There are several places to sit, relax or dine. Every place has its own charm. We enjoyed our stay of 3 weeks with a splendid view on the mountains, a very nice and clean swimming pool. We love the little town Orgiva where you can stroll around, have your coffee in the morning and lovely lunches in good restaurants as Almazara, le Jardin, El Flor de Limonero in hotel Taray just outside Orgiva en El Viejo Molina, especially at night, having a drink with one of their great tapas. Our idea of the perfect holiday, relaxing, reading, hiking, and enjoying the culture in Granada. We have already booked our next stay in August 2014. We recommend the house, it is a jewel.

A Great Holiday that Ticks All the Boxes!

We are a couple from London, with 3 teenagers. We stayed in Casita Dori this spring - what a great 'get-away from it all' it turned out to be! The kids had a great time with the pool which is a good size and depth, while the wide step at the shallow end is a great place to laze around in the water. The large, mature private garden, full of exotic plants, flowers and fruit trees is marvellous. There is even a hammock chair under the shade of a walnut tree, very useful for a post-aperitif snooze! The house has all the mod cons you need, including a dish washer and a good size flat-screen TV, where you can get UK programmes. It's tastefully furnished and clean. The kids had their own bathroom and kitchen, which was very nice, too. There is a choice of private parking, including inside the property which is all very private and secure, with a tall wall all around, and surrounded by gardens. The house is just a 5 minutes walk from Orgiva, so we could walk to the restaurants and enjoy our wine without worrying about driving back, and the kids could go to the village on their own as often as they pleased. Orgiva has quite a few restaurants for a small village, at least ten, and in many bars, for 1.50 euro you get a nice free tapa with a drink, something that you don't get on the coast. The village is close to many interesting places, including the beautiful Granada and the Alhambra. In Orgiva. To help amuse the youngsters, there is a town sports centre with tennis courts etc and you can hire mountain bikes, quads and paragliding equipment or go horse-trekking, plus there is a pool table in one of the bars, so, all in all - this is a place either for lazing round the pool, or a useful base for an action-packed holiday for the whole family!

A Wonderful Get-Away-from-It-All-Holiday in the Su

We are two couples in our 30s. Our idea of a perfect holiday is to unwind and relax by the pool, but also do a bit of sightseeing as well as dining out. Casita Dori proved a great base for all of those activities. You can get to Granada in less than an hour, to the seaside in half an hour, and a few minutes drive in any direction takes you to yet another interesting little pueblo! The house is about 5 minutes walk from the town, so there is no need to take the car. There is a good selection of bars and restaurants in Orgiva, with a variety of food on offer, including a fantastic pizza place, with great live concerts of flamenco and rock music. We also did a few good walks in the very spectacular and totally unspoilt countryside, we even saw some wild mountain goats! The pool is great, a good size and depth, as well as private, so the ladies made good use of it when sunbathing.The house itself has all that you'd want on a holiday, down to a dishwasher, that came in handy after the barbecue. Carmen was very helpful and the instructions were very details and helpful. We will be back in the autumn!

Wir haben zu viert eine wunderschöne Woche in dem Ferienhaus in Orgiva verbracht. Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr ruhig, alles ist sauber, es fehlt an nichts. Wir können das Ferienhaus jederzeit weiterempfehlen und werden bei Gelegenheit auch selbst gerne nochmals einen Urlaub dort verbringen.

Nous avons apprécié le confort de la maison et des annexes, la piscine, le jardin. Effectivement elle n’est pas adaptée pour des très jeunes enfants. Mais parfait pour une famille avec ados ! Nous avons séjourné une semaine , tout était parfait, de la réservation jusqu’au départ ( communication, informations complètes sur la location et les activités, la procédure d’arrivée). Nous avons deux ados qui ont très apprécié leur indépendance dans la 2e maison. Beaucoup de visites à faire ( Grenade, Malage…) proche des plages. Bref un très bon séjour, merci beaucoup et également Carmen pour son accueil. La région est magnifique,

Lovely villa!

Beautiful villa very close to centre of Orgiva with a lovely pool and great views of the mountains. Lovely bbq area with table and chairs. Air con brilliant! It would be difficult to stay with 2 children though as one of the bedrooms is just a room on its own with no bathroom. Our son (13) loved having his own space in his bedroom with bathroom! Lots of books to read! We found the bed very uncomfortable unfortunately, too firm for us. Overall a great stay ☀️☀️

Belles vacances

Très beau jardin, piscine grande vraiment appréciable et coin barbecue très agréable. Petit chemin pour arriver à la maison, difficile de manœuvrer pour se garer si vous avez une grande voiture. Communication avec la propriétaire aisée et très bon accueil de carmen sur place.
