Our Third Stay at Beautiful Bellevue

This is an outstanding property with very kind and friendly hosts, Véronique and Daniel. Bellevue is a joy to stay at as it is extremely well equipped and offers a view that is "out of this world". The local town of Sainte Eulalie d'Olt is interesting with great shops and has a must-visit market on Saturdays. Further afield there are many little villages to explore. Thank-you Véronique and Daniel for letting us stay at your idealic piece of France.

What a holiday should be!

We were taken by the pictures of the villa and its location. And both exceeded our hopes and expectations. To add to this Veronique is a timely communicator as she answered questions we had, leading up to our arrival, quickly and informatively. Veronique and Daniel are fantastic hosts and went beyond what one would normally expect of a host and for that we are very grateful. Bellevue as a holiday accommodation excels - it is a labour of love - the development of the villa is documented and so one can appreciate their vision, planning and execution into what Bellevue is today. The location is sublime - one is seduced by the vista of a forever changing landscape of colours, shapes and light. The surrounding region is wholesale and very French - we were just out of the summer season and yet all tourists were primarily French. The abundance of regional parks and reserves means that you are not short of walking, cycling, canoeing, paragliding etc. And on inclement days the Bellevue ‘barn’ allows you to hone your ping pong and table football skills! I am nervous talking up Bellevue and its location because I want to keep it a secret - that said, Veronique and Daniel would never forgive me - it should be shared!!!

We had the most fantastic week at Véronique’s house. She and her husband were so helpful and attentive and the house was just perfect. Such high quality and it literally had everything - enough bikes and helmets for 2 families of 5! A table tennis table, table football, swimming pool with such amazing views and trampoline/play area. Not to mention the new BBQ and lovely kitchen. All maintained to such a high standard. We wish we could have stayed there longer and definitely look forward to returning next year!!! The area was lovely too - beautiful villages and not far from the national park and gorges where we had a brilliant day canoeing. Thank you so much for letting us stay!

Wow!

We had a wonderful holiday at Bellevue. Everything you could possibly need was catered for and the property and location is stunning. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, Daniel & Veronique, who were always on hand for any advice or help. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or return ourselves in the future. A truly magical holiday in an equally magical setting.

A return to a magnificent property

This was our second visit to this property and we decided to stay for 3 weeks - such is the beautiful location and the high quality of the accommodation. There really was nothing extra we needed to enjoy our thoroughly relaxing time. Véronique and Daniel (plus their daughters) were fantastic, friendly hosts. We will certainly return.

What a week!

We have just returned from the most amazing week at Gite Bellevue! The view is simply outstanding and is even better in real life. There are so many facilities at the property and with the ages in our group ranging from 2 to 72, there was something for everyone. We made good use of the swimming pool and also the bikes (helmets and locks also provided). The children also loved the “disco toilet”. Daniel and Veronique were lovely and welcomed us to the property, giving us a full tour and explaining appliances etc. Any questions we had, we just messaged them and they came back to us almost immediately. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this house, and would absolutely love to return.

A Property of The Highest Quality

There are two features of this property that make it exceptional - the location with fabulous views and the extremely high quality of the fixtures and fittings. Everything you could possibly want from a rental property can be found here and it is a big credit to the friendly hosts, Véronique and Daniel. We have been coming to France for a great many years and this is, by far, the best property we have stayed in and look forward to returning soon.

Fantastic house in a stunning location.

A beautifully refurbished and decorated house, where the old is fused seamlessly with the new. It is set in immaculate grounds with a heated pool. Very well equipped with modern gadgets. Wonderful location, with beautiful views. Plenty of activities locally for young and old to enjoy. Walking, kayaking on the river Lot or just taking in the views. Will definitely recommend.

Beautiful house in a stunning location

We have just returned from one of the most relaxing holidays in this fabulous house. Well appointed on a hillside with fabulous views and plenty of space, very well equipped, we wanted for nothing. We were 2 families with 4 children aged 9 to 16, there was plenty for them to do from spending time in the pool, football in the garden or table tennis in the cool garage. There were bikes available to use as well (although it was too hot for us!). Very close to the house are the villages of Sainte Geniez-d’Olt and Sainte Eulalie-d’Olt, the former housing some wonderful restaurants and little shops, the latter a beautiful medieval village with artisan shops and also places to eat. Both places are on the river Lot with walks and views aplenty. We hired a boat in Sainte Eulalie-d’Olt and spent 3 lovely hours on the river with the children enjoying a swim. Overall a fabulous and relaxing holiday, we would not hesitate to return.

Stunning view | brilliantly equipped gorgeous home

The pictures couldn't do this place justice. Our initial arrival was one of delight as we realised how well equipped and high spec this property is. Every possible mod con and more. You'll find table football, pingpong, croquet, an amazing selection of bikes for ALL ages, games galore, hundreds of books (kids&adults - in French!) Fun pool with ample recliners/pool furniture (felt like we were the first people to use it all). Comfy beds & sofas, dishwasher, washer&dryer, coffee machines, drinks fridge and everything you'd need in the kitchen. We slept, relaxed and ate very well. We found the place so immaculate upon arrival that we felt we had to clean around when we left! Met by the owner at arrival & departure who showed us round, explaining how the shutters, coffee machine, vacuum and everything worked. Very helpful; told us to contact her with any questions, although we didn't need to. Situated up a hill which had its pluses (v. secluded & quiet and that VIEW) but there is not a lot within immediate walking distance. The nearest restaurant is 15-minute walk away ("Caravan-Kitchen" - cannot recommend this highly enough) and garage/supermarket about the same distance. It's a drive to any bars if that's important to you (wasn't to us!) Sainte Eulalie d'Olt has to be seen (it's a beautiful village, 5mins beyond the restaurant) and the other local town, St. Geniez, has a few shops and good variety of eateries. RESERVE before you go anywhere - every restaurant was booked up when we turned up! We spent all our time at the wonderful house, but would have liked to stay longer to journey further around, maybe canoe at St. Eulalie, take more bike rides. Time flew so fast. Highly recommended.

Beautiful house in stunning location with everything you could need & lovely owners

We were 2 families with young children and a couple and this house suited us perfectly. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Veronique who showed us around and explained how everything worked. We were provided with a lovely welcome hamper of local cake, beer, jams and lemonade and Veronique told us we were free to help ourselves to coffee, seasonings etc in the cupboards and any cleaning and laundry products we needed. The house is much bigger than it looks in the pictures and was spotlessly clean. My husband and I had a bedroom upstairs with a small adjoining childrens twin room which was perfect for our toddler and 3 year old. Our room also had a walk in shower and basin behind the bed. There is a vast array of childrens toys, including inflatables and swimming aids for the pool, French board games, puzzles and books as well as plenty for the garden. They even supplied a range of bikes in different sizes with safety helmets! The ping-pong and foosball tables went down well with adults and children alike! Our only slight disappointment was that the pool wasn't warm enough for most of us to use. It was October though and Daniel and Veronique even came to the house to increase the temperature but unfortunately it wasn't quite warm enough for bobbing around in at this time of year. The kitchen is very high spec with top end appliances and good quality crockery and glasses. They even have a vacuum cleaner built into the walls! The owners went out of their way to provide everything we could need for the babies and still asked us if there was anything else we needed. They are a really lovely couple. The only thing we actually needed to take were pool towels. As has been mentioned previously, the thing that stands out most about this house is the stunning views. Every window and door you look out of has beautiful views of the mountains or the valley and early in the morning when the sun is rising and the fog is lifting they are quite breath-taking! We didn't venture far while staying here as there is so much to keep you occupied. The 2 local towns are very old and pretty - quite quirky so worth a walk around. The local supermarket provides a good selection of food, drinks and the usual household goods. There is nothing open past 7pm though so make sure you take some food and drinks with you if you're arriving late. We loved our stay here and hope we are lucky enough to go back soon.

Beautiful house, stunning views

The best holiday home we've ever rented in France! Very friendly and helpful hosts, beautiful renovation, well equipped for our weeks holiday, stunning views and peaceful location. We had plans to see lots in the area but didn't venture further than the two local villages, it was just so relaxing! Good supermarket and a few good restaurants nearby. Hard to beat.

One of the most beautiful views in France

Nothing can prepare you for the most beautiful views , the pictures don't do it justice. There is everything you could want in a holiday home and it is all of the highest quality. Ice maker, coffee machine, wine cooler, steam oven, washing machine, satellite TV, beautiful showers, the pool, games room, bikes and did I mention the view. The surrounding villages and town are listed as some of the most beautiful in France and have a wide range of shops, restaurants and cafes. The supermarket is literally 2 minutes away and in 3 minutes you can be picking up fresh bread and croissants from the town. Rodez is the nearest major town and well worth a visit for the old town and big supermarkets. We came for some cycling which was challenge with three or four of the roads leaving the town beginning with climbs of 10K + but the ride home was a breeze. In our week we didn't scratch the surface of what the area has to offer so will definitely be returning and wouldn't hesitate in staying at Belle Vue again. The house is credit to the owners Daniel and Veronique . If you are driving from the UK it's 9 hours from Calais but well worth the effort. Book early to avoid disappointment. 5 STARS +++++

Stunning property - exceptional views - highly recommend

When we booked online we had the impression that the property was going to be nice and the setting lovely, BUT, the pictures don’t do this property any justice. The property has EVERYTHING you need and the fixtures and fittings are to the HIGHEST standard. The Views, my god, the Views are amazing, we wake early each morning to get a sneaky 30 minutes break from the kids, sit out overlooking the valley, birds of all kinds singing the morning chorus, sheer bliss. If you are considering spending time in the south of France don’t miss out on staying here, YOU WONT REGRET IT.

Best family holiday yet

Well what can we say apart from this is our third time visiting france and it has been our best holiday yet. The house is just amazing and everything you could wish for. We were greeted with such warmth and friendliness when we arrived at the property and shown everything we needed to know for our stay. Any problems or questions during our stay were answered quickly and nothing was too much trouble. We took two young children with us and it was lovely that they could go for a swim in the heated pool and then relax inside when it got too warm. We played boules outside in the evenings whilst our tea was cooking on the bbq. It was just pure bliss and will definitely be staying again in the future. Thankyou Daniel and family for your great hospitality

Return to Bellevue; lovely hosts, great house and a taste for rural France at its best

This was our promised return visit to Bellevue having first stayed in 2014; the first British group to do so. Upon arrival and throughout the informative tour of the house Daniel and Veronique made us feel like old friends. Our hosts have kept updating the facilities which now include the very latest induction hob plate and easy clean gas barbeque, both large enough to comfortably cope with cooking for a family. Again the house and its setting didn’t disappoint even when the weather turned somewhat British like. Daniel was on hand to turn on the under floor heating on, which kept the house pleasantly warm during some chilly evenings. The views from the terrace and pool remain amongst the best we have experienced in our 25 years of renting in France. Along with the villages and towns around this area really evoke the delights of rural France. Our trips up on to the Aubrac were a joy. The wide open undulating land set against a blue sky will not be forgotten. Our trip to the Millau viaduct and on to the Jonte valley was easily achieved within a morning’s drive giving us time to enjoy a good lunch sitting out on a restaurant terrace. Then onto nearby and excellent Vulture centre before rounding off the day with a leisurely drive back home via the majestic Tarn gorges. We would recommended Bellevue this to everyone who wants a taste for rural France at its best. Thank you Daniel and Veronique for making our second visit so delightful. We will return as Bellevue remains an absolute favourite villa of ours Valerie, Jonathan and Ben

Wonderful, relaxing, very enjoyable,

Views from this property are wonderful, looking down into the Lot valley at the small town and the very pretty village next to it. The house is spacious and well layed out, with excellent high quality facilities through out. Inside it was pristine the owners must place a very high importance on keeping it in perfect condition, the garden is very well kept and with the pool and a large selection of outside games it is easy to spend several days just enjoying being there. It is a great base to go walking from and with river and forest walks available there is no shortage of places to go. The owners greeted us on arrival and gave a comprehensive rundown of the house and all it`s equipment as well as some tips on places to go and things to see, this was backed up by books about the house and the area, they were very friendly and only too happy to help should we require any. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends or family, and will certainly look forward to a return visit.

First class

Thank you for your hospitality on our recent stay in Bellevue, Your online pictures do not do your accommodation justice, Bellevue is actually much better than the pictures online, It is truly 5*+, we had some bad weather which was the only downside and of course out of everyone's control, but still did not bother us too much. Many thanks again..Alan

Host profile image
Il all began in 2007 when we inherited this property from our familly. We then started to invest a lot of time and energy to transform this house into a comfortable place where people could eventually spend marvellous holidays.
It was six years later that we had the pleasure of receiving our first guests who left with huge smiles on their faces promising to return. This was our most wonderful reward.

Why they chose this property

We would very much like that our guests take in the real atmosphere of this exceptional house which is surounded by trees and a big aventure park. There is a children's playground, a private heated pool, a petanque area so that young and old may have a marvelous time.

What makes this property unique

The name of the house is Bellevue being that it overlooks le Lot and Sainte Eulalie d'Olt. During your stay, you will be able to recharge your batteries in this haven of peace and quite.
We chose high quality bedding with body form memory made in Aveyron.
All these little details will contribute to make your stay unforgatable.
