Great location, ground floor flat, few windows
There is no living room which is stated in the description, however, sitting around the bench and table is awkward for 6 adults to "lounge". I feel that the addition of the 3rd bedroom with the double bed might have been misguided. It is appreciated to have 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms but I would not say that the double bed on the platform frame sleeps 2 adults comfortably, nor does that room have any airflow so it got rather warm with no fan to circulate air. The pillows also left a lot to be desired. Almost all the lights, incl the bathrooms, are on motion sensors which is nice unless you're taking a shower and the lights go off every few minutes. The lights in the entrance area are just outside the 1st bedroom and take a long time to go off at night. Very clean flat and great location within walking distance to the Aldi, the train station, the bus station, and various pubs and restaurants. Communication with the owners was nil - they didn't reply to any VRBO messages and the Skye Cottages app said the contact page wasn't available which was quite frustrating. I wanted to let them know we were arriving late from London and to verify how easy it was to walk the area at night with luggage. I also wanted suggestions on where to store our luggage as check out was 10 a.m. but we had 12 hours until the overnight bus. (ended up reserving a room at the John Francis Basset Hotel which let us store our luggage before check in and then had a room to freshen up in before we left).
