About this property
Villa Gilestra - Three Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 6
This sleek and modern three-bedroom villa exudes warmth and comfort and lies near the charming baroque town of Ragusa, on the Southern tip of Sicily.
The approach through luscious countryside brings you to a rustic, stone-wall surrounding the villa, in keeping with the harmonious, natural style which seeks to be at one with its rural environment. The entire property is set on one floor, and the open plan design across the living areas ensures a hugely social environment.
The large lounge features a set of very comfortable, long sofas facing each other, perfect for a board game or drinks party, with the gorgeous wooden coffee table located between the two. There is also a large satellite TV here for your entertainment. The fabulous modern kitchen includes everything you need for meal preparation, and with the lovely dining table adjacent, the chef need never be lonely!
Each of the three bedrooms enjoys a similarly modern design and fabulous en-suite facilities, as well as direct access to the garden beyond. There are two double bedrooms and one twin. All three rooms are brightly lit thanks to the huge patio doors, have large wall-mounted TVs, a wooden desk or dresser and are designed with your absolute comfort in mind. A splash of colour in each room creates an atmosphere of warmth and highlights the traditional sense of character.
Beyond the walls of the villa, you are surrounded by plenty of options to maximise your enjoyment of the famous Italian sun, all enveloped in an array of thriving plants. There is a large dining area alongside the outdoor kitchenette, shaded by the veranda. Also benefiting from a little shade is the poolside seating area with a sofa and coffee table – the perfect spot for an evening glass of locally produced wine in the peace and calm of the baroque Sicilian countryside.
The huge private pool enjoys the sun all day long, thanks to the remarkably open surrounding landscape, and beautiful spotlighting by night.
The location is peaceful, yet on the doorstep of all kinds of great local food and drink, as well as history and culture.
