Perfect getaway for family break

Fantastic cottage, well equipped with very comfy large sofa and beds with quality bedding. Hosts were very accommodating and responsive to any queries/requests. Excellent set up and plenty space for family get togethers. Location was perfect too. Almost 20-30 mins away from most places of interest in the area. Huge thanks to the hosts as our family catch up went very smoothly!

Little Cottage that’s plenty Big!

What a lovely cottage! It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Beautiful, quiet setting near Stirling. We explored the jail and the castle. Took the train to Edinburgh (not a lot of parking at the station). Drove to the ferry to Isle of Arran (take your car if you can). This cottage is in a great location for touring the Edinburgh/Glasgow area.

Peace and quiet in the Stirlingshire countryside

Very nice cottage with all the needs for 6 guests. Good base for touring the area and further afield. Small but peaceful garden to sit out in and enjoy the sunsets. Cottage had all we needed, as far as space for 6 and all crockery, towels and linen. We would recommend this cottage to anybody. Owners very friendly and helpful. Agents very professional.

Beautiful little holiday home in a peaceful setting.

We went here to relax and enjoy the surroundings which is exactly what we did. Owners are very helpful, right next door and non invasive.

Charming!

Lots of good things to say about this place. The history of it being a stable - charming. The smell of lavender planted near the entrance - charming. The sound of sheep bleating if you crack one of the many the windows - charming. Church and old cemetery next door - charming. Young deer visits daily just outside the dining/living area - charming. I docked one star on cleanliness because I found a pacifier under one of the beds and I know they allow dogs but the kitchen smelled like dog -less charming. One of the shower heads fell off but there are plenty of places to shower and I chalk that up to regular maintenance that just needs attention. If you plan to cook be prepared to improvise. The kitchen has very basic tools. Very driveable to Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow while still offering a remote country location. Overall? Highly recommended.

Cosy base camp for exploring Stirlingshire

A great place to stay for a family. We were a couple with 2 kids plus an aunt and there was room to spare. The kitchen is well equipped for making big dinners and the bedrooms are warm and comfortable - and all with en suite facilities. The cottage documentation offers lots of ideas for things to do, and there are a number of good walks in the area, with impressive views and nature to explore.
