About this property
A quirky converted barn.
Through the high banks of a coastal farm called Penbanc, tumble wildflowers in summer and rustling sea breezes in winter. This is Penbanc Bach.
Part of an organic farm, this ancient stone building offers the character of a former century and the style and comfort of the 21st. Penbanc Bach sleeps 4 people in a super king size master bedroom and the same, or two singles in the second bedroom.
There’s no upstairs here, its layout follows the old dairy as it once was, with steps down in the living room and steps up into the bathroom.
The kitchen and living room are high ceilinged, with oak beams and exposed stone walls, and wooden floors, full of natural light. The living room’s floor to ceiling window
is perfect for gazing at the woods below, with a wood burner creating the warmth and light only a real fire can offer.
The kitchen is brand new, with Miele and Bosch appliances, mixed with vintage wall tiles, a mid-century sofa, and a battered but elegant pine table. Conran Shop chairs
and Heals crockery complement an old linen cupboard and a fully-working, wind-up gramophone is ready to entertain the cook and the rest of the guests.
Each bedroom has its own character with the master bedroom containing a 1930’s slay-style bedstead, and the other bedroom Arts and Crafts beds. Bedlinen is hotel quality and vintage Welsh blankets perch on each bed for those chilly evenings.
The new bathroom offers a luxury, walk-in shower with beautiful Morrocan-style tiles and traditional fixtures and fittings. Two radiators mean that in winter one keeps the
room toasty, and in summer, the other is ready to dry towels or swimming things.
Penbanc Bach is less than 3 miles from the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and the quiet beach of Ceibwr Bay. It’s a 10-minute drive to the renowned town of Newport and its beach, and close to Cardigan town for bigger shops, as well as the food market at St Dogmaels. The Preseli Mountains seduce anyone who visits them and are about 15 minutes drive away, as well as to be enjoyed from nearby views.
Penbanc Bach is part of a working farm – native breed sheep, cattle, pigs, hens, and an old horse - the owners are always keen to show guests around and offer a very warm welcome to their guests.

Getting there
SATNAV will direct you to the right road but will take you to the farm further along the lane ParKe, do not drive down this lane as it’s a private property. Penbanc is just before this on the right hand side. Look out for the little pale blue sign 'Penbanc Bach'
