Wonderful stay at Casa Rosella

Property chosen based on the brilliant reviews. I can only support those that have endorsed Rosella's Tuscan home. Wonderful 3 weeks spent here during the summer of 2020. Peaceful, relaxing time by the pool or in the private garden & hiking in the local area. Equally good trips to some of Italy's outstanding cultural heritage. Thanks Rosella!

Hochzeitsreise

Direkt nach unserer Hochzeit haben meine Frau und ich eine ganz wunderbare Hochzeitsreise im Casa Rossella verbracht. Sogar nach nun 3 Monaten reden wir noch immer mit Bewunderung über diese ganz besondere Lokation. Am allerwichtigsten war: Wir haben uns willkommen gefühlt in jeder Minute und sogar vor unserer Ankunft. Weil wir schüchterne Leute sind, ist das nicht so einfach, uns dieses Gefühl zu vermitteln. Aber Rossella und besonders ihre Verwalterin Barbara haben nicht nur einfach einen guten Job gemacht, sondern sie haben sich mit Herz und Einfühlungsvermögen gekümmert. Sie bereiteten Dinge vor, waren erreichbar und haben Abstand gehalten, wo immer wir es brauchten - sie haben sich angepasst, ohne dass wir etwas gesagt hätten. Auch der gemeinsam genutzte Pool war gut: Alle anderen Eigentümer respektieren Gäste ebenso und heißen sie willkommen. Wie gesagt, wir sind etwas schüchtern. Wenn wir es nicht gewesen wären, hätten wir mit Sicherheit die Gelegenheit gehabt, Freunde zu gewinnen, nicht nur Bekanntschaften. Zusammengefasst war der Aufenthalt im Casa Rossella unsere schönste Zeit in der Toskana überhaupt - nachdem wir nun mehrere Jahre für den Sommerurlaub nach Italien reisen, besonders oft in die Toskana. Die Anlage mit dem Appartement ist einfach wunderbar: Die Landschaft ist überwältigend. Der Pool hat eine wirklich sinnvolle Größe - wir waren immer in der Lage, mehrere Bahnen hintereinander zu schwimmen. Der Garten ist gepflegt und sieht wunderbar aus, auch wenn er unter der besonderen Hitze im Jahr 2017 gelitten hat. Alles in der Anlage ist in bestimmter Weise exklusiv und würdig, ohne dass dieses Überhand nimmt - wir haben uns so gefühlt, dass wir es auch nutzen durften. Besonders im Appartement selbst haben wir uns so gefühlt, als hätte Rossella dafür gesorgt, dass wir die Erlaubnis haben, diese exklusive Unterkunft zu nutzen. Es ist so persönlich eingerichtet mit konsistentem Stil, dass wir dachten, wir hätten einen Teil von Rossella kennengelernt, ohne dass sie da war. Ich kann nur sagen: Vielen dank für diese Gelegenheit. - Sie war mehr als ihren Preis wert. Wir haben mehr für das Anmieten anderer Anlagen ausgegeben aber nur eine kommt an Rossellas heran! Nochmal: Es ist nicht nur die Anlage. Es ist der Geist, mit dem Rossella und Barbara sich kümmern. Besonders bei Barbara hatten wir den Eindruck, dass die Verwaltung für sie eine Freude ist. Das ist unbezahlbar. Wir wünschen Rossella und Barbara eine Menge liebe neue Gäste.

A lovely Tuscan villa with all the extras!

We arrived at the villa after a long day of traveling. We had a bit of trouble finding it but, Barbara, the property manager met us in town so we could follow her to the villa. Much appreciated! Once inside, she explained everything and gave us lots of info for our stay. The villa itself was gorgeous! So sweetly decorated, with everything we could need. Barbara and Rossella left us with enough food and wine so we didn't have to do a thing our first night and morning there. San Gusme and Castelnuovo are 2 little towns nearby. Our only regret is that we did not discover the restaurants there sooner, since we would have spent more time in these 2 places and less time driving to the more well-known hill towns. Our only wish was that there wasn't a market/town within walking distance but, as noted earlier, Castelnuovo and San Gusme are a 10 and 5 minute drive respectively. We loved visiting the winery/olive oil place right down the dirt road from the villa. Overall, a wonderful experience, beautiful property (the pool and the grounds were spectacular too....pool long enough to swim laps in!), and very organized and gracious host and property manager.

Good, well equipped and clean villa

Lovely property in a beautiful area. Slight drawback is that this property does not have a sunshade allocated to by the pool. The other sunshades belong to other owners in the complex therefore you only have a choice of sitting in the full sun or under a tree some distance from the pool.

Everything you could whish for

Casa Rosella has almost everything you could wish for in a holiday. It's almost just as comfortable at home. We especially appreciated the welcome basket including local wine and olive oil. The area is lovely and the pool is fantastic.(Just be sure to know that you share the pool with several owners and families on the property.) At first we didn't have an umbrella at the pool, but luckely there came one available in our second week. Thank you for a wonderful holiday in beautiful Tuscany!

Amazing place, great stay

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Casa Rosella. The valley/estate is so beautiful. We hiked on gravel roads lined with cyprus trees, cooked, visited hill towns, tried interesting wines, watched harvest in progress. We didn't think about work even for a second and were fully recharged by the end of our stay, thanks to Rosella and Barbara! Everything worked well and in a timely manner, from getting our questions answered to receiving detailed directions to the property and Barbara giving us a warm welcome (she is a lot of fun!). The "basket" was such a nice thing to receive upon check-in, so we didn't have to shop for food upon arriving. The kitchen had everything you may need to cook if you chose to do so. The house was spotless, a second bathroom a definite plus. We highly recommend Casa Rosella: come, stay, and you won't regret it!

Perfection

Exceeded expectation. Very accurately descibed, very clean and we couldn't think of anything extra that could have been provided. Quality fixtures and furnishings, really comfortable. The garden is completely private and very pleasant, lovely pool in attractive gardens with a classic tuscan view. Communications and support from Rosella and Barbera (property manager) were absolutely excellent. Easy access to the main road near Siena. We have been to the region several times so pottered around the local towns and villages as well as re-visiting Siena which is superb.

Absolutely charming place to stay for a week, but that was expected given the reviews on here. Was a great place to start off for daytrips to Siena, Arezzo and other places. Lovely Michelin Starred restaurant short drive away, the housing estate flanked by vineyards. Whole property was excellently maintained, and pool had lovely views across the region. Would definitely return.

A Wonderful Stay

We had a terrific stay at Casa Rossella. The location is wonderful and we were able to experience Toscana at its finest. Everything was just as depicted in the advertisement. We were very grateful for Barbara's hospitality and for the lovely gift basket was definitely appreciated. It was also lovely to have the pool to lounge beside on hot days. Fabulous apartment north of Sienna

We stayed for one week in the apartment about 25 minutes from Sienna, a great spot for heading north or south. The communication with the owner before we arrived was excellent and the property manager (Barbara) sent excellent directions and the contents of the welcome pack which had a great stock of basic groceries, enough to cook dinner on the first night. She was there to great us and made us very welcome! The apartment is beautiful, with a lovely secluded private garden, comfortably cosy living room and bedroom with upstairs and downstairs bathrooms. The kitchen has everything you need, and they leave a pre-paid mobile phone in the house for making local calls (to Barbara or to make a reservation at a restaurant) and a laptop with WiFi internet for your use. The pool is great, just a short walk across the property. The whole site including the apartment was spotlessly clean. There are two supermarkets in Castelnuovo Beradenga (the PuntoM has a better fresh meat counter and vegetable selection) and there are some great restaurants, particularly the little pizza place near the square and the La Locanda Di Tommaso which was fine dining style at a very reasonable price. Overall, a lovely place to stay, great quality apartment in a lovely peaceful secluded location but close by to a charming little town with some great restaurants........ highly recommended!

A perfect retreat in Tuscany

The property turned out to be everything we had hoped for and more. It was in a beautiful setting away from the crowds we had been experiencing in the major cities. The welcome basket, use of the computer and the emergency cell phone were thoughtful added touches. Barbara the caretaker was a delight and very helpful. We loved coming back from a day exploring the beautiful area and sitting on the terrace in the pretty garden. We particularly enjoyed the two tours of the area recommended in the House Book. As we were travelling for 5 weeks we appreciated having a washing machine to catch up on laundry. Everything from our first contact with owner was an enjoyable experience and we would highly recommend this property.

Villa Rossella

This listing was completely accurate. The villa was immaculately clean, and the welcome basket was a marvelous touch. The property manager was very pleasant and helpful - she spoke excellent English as well. There were nearby restaurants and food shopping. San Gusme, a nearby town, was charming with excellent dining opportunities. I would heartily recommend this property. We travel with our ownn computer and telephone, but the computer, wi-fi and telephone furnished by the villa are a wonderful touch. We did not have time to use the pool, but it was lovely. I would love to visit again!

Delight-filled introduction to Tuscany!!!

We spent vast amounts of time internet searching for the perfect spot for our much too short 5-day stay in Tuscany. Casa Rosella was the best possible choice! We found everything to be exactly as described on-line. The entire property was picture-perfect!! The home was very clean, wonderfully well-maintained, in a gorgeous rural setting, and a quiet, cleansing break from the busy cities we visited during the remainder of our trip. The location is an excellent base from which to explore. Bring a GPS unit to assist your explorations if you are unexperienced visitors such as we were! Having a caretaker/manager, the delightful Barbara, on-site was extremely helpful. She assisted us in many ways. The information-filled House Book was also very helpful and the Welcome Basket was so very convenient. We most certainly recommend Casa Rosella to friends, family, anyone!!!

A quiet break from crowds

After visiting several crowded tourist towns in Italy, we are so glad that we chose to stay in this peaceful place to get away, and yet there are many things to do just a short drive away from this apartment if u chose to - Siena, Castello Brillio winery. There is also a winery in the estate. The basic groceries provided with the stay was a thoughtful touch. Things are well maintained and clean. Will not hesitate to recommend this place to friends.

Lovely Tuscan retreat

We spent two wonderful weeks at Casa Rossella in August and September this year. The description and photographs of the property are entirely representative: there are no unpleasant surprises. We were delighted with the property, the location and the service we received. While the location is certainly rural, shops are within a ten minute drive and the village of San Gusme, which has a couple of good restaurants, is closer still - a respectable walk. Siena is very accessible, as are other medieval, hilltop towns. But we found sitting by the pool or enjoying a meal or glass of wine in the garden equally appealing prospects.

A Tuscan Beauty!

We spent a week at this wonderful property a short time ago. The property itself is perfect for a couple with everything you could possibly want. We cooked at the villa every night and enjoyed dinner in the beauty and privacy of the outdoor sitting area. There are a couple of good grocery stores within easy driving distance, and of course, many enoteca's. Be sure to ask Barbara (the hospitable catetaker) for some restaurant recommendations, because you'd never find them on your own!

We had very nice holidays at Casa Rossella. We liked the very well equipped house very much and also the nice private garden with terrace. We visited all the places of interest: Siena, Florenz, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Chianti........and therefor Casa Rossella is a good starting point. Peaceful stay in Chianti

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Tuscany. Anna and Ross made everything so easy . We love their flat. It had everything we needed and more. The kitchen is stocked if you want to cook. The home is comfortable. And the setting is so peaceful and feels remote but is close to villages where you can eat at delicious restaurants and only 20 minutes from Siena. It was absolutely amazing!

Good value stay in a beautiful vineyard

We spent eight nights at Villa Arceno and found the property to be a welcome reprieve for us on our otherwise busy vacation. We enjoyed cooking in the well-stocked kitchen and grilling florentine steaks from the neighborhood market. The welcome basket was extremely generous as was the continuous supply of Arceno wine. While the house was charming, we couldn’t help but feel the two-floor unit was only broom swept clean as there were cobwebs found throughout the house. The outside garden was objectively beautiful, and with all of the wonderful flowers came many insects. Citronella candles were provided and moderately helped with that. The location is super and in the middle of a gorgeous vineyard.

Amazing farmhouse set in gorgeous vineyard

This place was gorgeous, clean, lovely furnishings, fully stocked kitchen, and extremely comfortable bed. Surrounded by lush vineyards, olive trees? and fig trees. We had a wonderful relaxing time. It is difficult to find at night. It would be helpful to provide directions with distances to the turns in km or miles. But once you find it, you can’t get lost. Gracious owner and very helpful manager.
