A beautiful location with a quirky property, thoughtfully prepared as a holiday destination.
Our hosts were thoughtful and welcoming.
Highly recommend a visit.
This was our third consecutive year staying at the Jute Mill. Louise and Tim are amazing hosts who cater for your every need. The property is situated in a stunning riverside location and is spacious and homely. We can’t wait to stay again.
We chose the Jute as a base to celebrate a special birthday in Scotland and where so glad we did. It’s an absolutely beautiful location. We could not of wished for more, everything we needed was on hand. We have stayed in a lot of Vrbo accommodations around the world, and this one definitely has five stars. We hope to return for another visit soon.
We needed to find a place quickly due to illness of our planned host. We were delighted to find The Jute Store and loved our week there. The views, the heron in the trees watching for fish, the comfortable beds, the kitchen and laundry, were all wonderful. We so enjoyed the fire in the mornings as we sat and had morning coffee and tea.
What a lovely place tucked away on the river with fabulous view and sound of the waterfall and walks at our doorstep.. place was large .. quirky and immaculately clean .. Tim and Louise were excellent communicators. Great spot .. base for exploring the area - with fantastic butcher to stop at on the morning dog walk. A wonderful large fenced yard for the dog to run free across the pathway.. Look forward to returning soon. Thank you !
An excellent property in a lovely location by the river. The sitting room was a lovely place for my wife to relax during the day with the log burner while the kids and I travelled to Glenshee to ski. There are also some wonderful river side walls to be enjoyed. We made full use of the large family kitchen in the evenings and some of their board games too. The hosts had been very thoughtful in fully equipping the property. It would be a lovely place to return to.
One of the best properties we have ever rented. Very well equipped and very clean. The views from every window are stunning and the fenced in area for the dogs very welcome.
We stayed at The Jute Store for one week. Family of five adults and adults and two dogs. The property is amazing and Uber spacious, excellent location with quality home comforts, furnishings and appliances. Louise and Tim are superb attentive hosts, communication and check in details with Louise were helpful and accurate making the process extremely smooth.
We will definitely return for a future stay! Thank you to Louise and Tim for a fantastic stay at your amazing property.
Marie and family.
We had a fabulous stay at the Jute. What a magical place to stay with views to die for. The Jute was such a interesting place to stay with plenty of room for the 3 of us and our little dog. Louise and Tim were the perfect hosts. Highly recommended.
We loved staying at the Jute Store for the two weeks at the end of August with the therapeutic sound of the river flowing by. It was an excellent base for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside with trips to the seaside and Edinburgh very manageable as well. Louise and Tim provided helpful information about walks and activities and just walking along the river into Blairgowrie was very enjoyable. Highly recommended.
A perfect place to stay that is central to major attractions
This was our first time to go on holiday to Scotland. We wanted to stay somewhere that was central to the major attractions and Blairgowrie fitted that perfectly. Staying at Brooklin Mill exceeded our expectations. The mill is massive which was perfect for our family and well behaved pooch. Louise, the owner (who lives next door) was very welcoming and was on hand if we needed.

Authentic retreat
We've spent half term holidays in the Jute Store and found it ideal in many respects. The apartment is in an amazing secluded location right at the river. It is extremely spacious, more than one could assume by the pictures, and the combination of the historic building and really well maintained internals make it the most authentic place we stayed at. Both the living room and the kitchen were very well equipped, way more than one would wish for. The guide books and information on the local area came extremely handy, quite a help for the unprepared.
As it was our first trip to Scotland the location was ideal for day trips by car to Edinburgh, St Andrews and Aberdeen or alternatively to the south side of the Cairngorms for some hiking. But the town is also just a short walk away. It was fascinating to be so close to nature but the town as well.

Gorgeous, restful retreat in perfect accomodation!
We were very much looking forward to our mini break at the Jute mill based on past reviews, website photographs and positive contact with the owner, Louise Copland. Nothing could have prepared us for the beauty of this place, it's location, spaciousness, luxury and restful ambiance - the website simply doesn't do it justice! We spent a wonderful long weekend here celebrating a family Birthday, and would highly recommend it to others . We also looked at the smaller loft before we left, a lovely bright airy space with views of the river - perfect for a couple, or to extend a group staying in the Jute Mill. Louise was warm and welcoming without interfering in any way, and couldn't have been a more perfect host. Highly recommended all round :)

Excellent place for a holiday!
Amazing accommodation with lovely views of the river and weir. Very spacious (the photos don't do it justice - we were surprised at how spacious it was), very clean, with comfortable beds. Thoughtfully equipped with good quality utensils, etc (how often we go to properties with cheap knives that don't work very well!). We'd asked for non-feather duvets, etc and not only had the owner provided that, but she had then made sure that the soaps, etc were "Simple" and unlikely to cause allergies too. Very impressed.

Fabulous property and lovely location!
Another wonderful family stay at the Jute Store. The property is very well presented, with everything you need for a relaxing hassle free holiday. We had a great week and as last year really appreciated the quality of the accommodation and thought that goes into having everything you need for a relaxing break. The location is amazing - a feeling of remoteness and quiet with lovely views over the River but not too far from The town and shops - just a short walk down the river. We will definitely return again. Thank you for another fabulous holiday.

It's like the tardis
Great place to stay and much much larger than you can see in the pictures. The view out to the river and dam is hypnotic. One of the most comfortable beds I have experienced in a holiday rental. Very well appointed kitchen. Nice riverside walk to town from the front door.

Spacious and atmospheric riverside retreat
The property is very well-equipped and comfortably housed three adults, two small children and a dog for the Christmas week. Every item that you might need for cooking and spending time indoors was thought of, and the supply of wood for the log-burner was more than enough for the week. The house was spotlessly clean (and easy to keep that way, due to its design). The sleeping rooms are large and the beds comfortable. The location is conducive to lots of great walks up and down the river (where there are numerous fascinating old mills from Blairgowrie's Victorian industrial past), and there are many interesting places to visit within an hour's drive. We went to Dunkeld for some Christmas shopping (we can recommend the salmon smokery there), and even as far as House of Bruar in Blair Atholl, and on Boxing Day we went to Braemar for the snow. For our Christmas roast we sourced meat at the local butcher in Blairgowrie (Irvines), and it was excellent. The garden behind the house is spacious and we enjoyed being so close to the River Ericht and the small dam behind the mill which generates electricity for the property. The only caution is that small children can't be left to wander around outdoors, as the river is very fast flowing and there are steep banks and some deep water close to the house (it is part of an old mill, after all). The river is a source of great fascination, as it rises and falls visibly as the weather changes. I can thoroughly recommend staying here, and our hosts were very thoughtful in putting up a Christmas tree for us before we arrived.

Fantastic!
This was our second stay in the Jute Store and just like the last time it was wonderful.
We didn't hesitate when planning our trip to Scotland to book again with Louise.
Such an easy process from start to finish.
Arriving at Edinburgh airport from Ireland,it is an easy drive to Blairgowrie and such a lovely relaxed feeling washes over you when you turn down for the house!!
Everything you could possibly need is provided and to be honest the hard part is dragging yourself away from the lovely warm fire!
It is perfectly situated for exploring the Highlands and also Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.
Do yourself a favour and just stay here!!!
