Beautifully cosy and clean stay. Great location for beaches, pubs, walks, cycle trail. Coast 30 mins walk (we did it with 2 kids on a very wet and windy day). Enclosed garden for the dog and kids overlooking the farm. Great communication with the host and checked we were settled in. Really comfy beds, lovely showers and floor fire. Kids loved being able to see the animals from the window. Perfect perfect stay - thank you
We had a nice week in this cosy converted barn. Port Isaac, Padstow and surround area are in easy reach and its nice to come back from day trips to a warm fire and relaxing environment. Place was in good condition and we had a very pleasant stay with our dog enjoying it as well.
Fantastic stay. Lovely to be in a quiet farm environment. Thoroughly recommend and will return. Excellent base for exploring this area of North Cornwall. Five stars!!!
This is a beautiful location. The cottage itself is spotlessly clean and cosy with everything you need. Plenty of room for a family of 4.
If you’re after a peaceful spot this is perfect.
Only a very short drive to Port Isaac.
We would love to come back again next year for a longer stay.
Hosts are also extremely friendly :-)
Thanks so much for having us.
This is a beautiful place to spend a relaxing time in the country. You are away from the busy tourist areas yet they are in easy reach by car. We stayed in the barn which is very spacious and well equipped. It was perfect for our ourselves and our two adult sons. The Seaview farm shop just up the road had most of the groceries we needed for our stay and is a great place to have a drink and admire the views. Coming from Australia, we found the narrow Cornish roads quite challenging but that's all part of the experience.
Natalie was lovely and a wonderful host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hendra Farm and would love to spend more time there if we are in the UK again. Thanks Natalie and team.
Lovely accommodation staying at Hendra Barn everything and more that you need for your stay.
Great quiet location, very clean and welcoming, easy check in, friendly owners we will definitely be back and would highly recommend this accommodation. Lots of lovely beaches nearest ones are within a 10-15 minute drive, 5 minutes from a fab farm shop/cafe/play area. 15 mins from Wadebridge loads of shops, restaurants etc, we didn’t get chance to visit local pubs to eat but are a short drive from the property, we ate out further a field or BBQ’d on the beach. We loved our stay here and cannot fault it. Thank you very much for a perfect week.
Angela & Phil are very welcoming. Stayed in Hendra Barn which was well equipped with everything you need, giving a home from home feel. The farm is secluded but very accessible to visit all that North Devon offers. The coastal path to Port Isaac is just across the road if you are able bodied and like the challenge of a difficult walk! I would not hesitate to book again and can highly recommend this accommodation.
Both bedrooms ensuite and mattresses first class.
Kitchen had all new appliances including dishwasher and washing machine.
We all enjoyed the property and its location.
Definitely recommend this property. Thank you for your hospitality.
The barn is clean and well equipped. The beds are comfy and shower powerful
We enjoyed the location and it was great to return to after walking or swimming all day.
Friendly greeting, efficient arrival & departure arrangements. Hendra Barn is comfortably furnished for 4 people plus dog to relax in. Great location for exploring the area.
We stayed at higher Hendre cottages for 5 nights and had a great time. Cottage was spotless and gave the feel of home away from home. It is perfectly situated for day trips to Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac etc. Phil and Angela were great host too. We would definitely recommend this cottage and can’t wait enough to go back.
Lovely property on a family farm. Walk to join the Coast Path or short drive to Polzeath, Rock, Tintagel. Angela and family welcoming and the Hendra Barn warm and very comfortable. We watched the calves being fed before heading to the beach! Such an ace holiday, thank you!
If you are looking for a quiet, idyllic setting for your Cornish break, then this is it!
A clean, well appointed cottage within easy reach of the coastal paths, Port Isaac & Tintagel. We had a wonderful stay with our dogs & would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely time at Higher Hendra only spoilt by the weather! It's in a very quiet location surrounded by sheep which my son loved. The property was very cosy and unusual with lots of character. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and it was easy to find everything we needed in the house. The coastal path is only a short walk away but beware of the cows in the field as they they chased our dogs!

Great Place to Stay
Loved our stay, the barn was great, everything we needed was there . We also enjoyed a homemade Victoria sponge on arrival, tea coffee milk and sugar also there on arrival, Angela and Phil were friendly and nothing was too much trouble, my husband and mum enjoyed feeding the orphaned lambs . It was lovely waking up to no noise except sheep, I loved it, no road noise or aircraft. We thoroughly recommend staying here

Faultless
A real warm welcom to a spotlessly clean, exceptionally equipped, idyllically located getaway. We were greeted by Angela who gave us a tour of the property and who quickly had the log fire filled and ready to go. There was a delicious home made Victoria sponge waiting for us and a pint of milk in the fridge so we could have a coffee before having to unpack. The kitchen has everything you would need and more. Towels provided, and also a washing machine for those enjoying a longer stay. Easily one of the best self catering stays we have had the pleasure of staying in.
Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Great location for exploring Cornwall
Phil and Angela very friendly. Problem with the TV rectified the next day. Ample space for a family of four with two teenage daughters. Very handy to have a dishwasher and washing machine too. Maybe could do with a bit more local info in the black book such as which are sandy beaches and best recommended as if you haven't been before, its a bit of a minefield.
Also little things inside the house to make more comfortable for a weeks living such as bigger saucepans, tongs to use with BBQ, enough pegs to hang out the washing, I guess you only get this from living there for a week but as shops are quite a way and not that big, it can be a little hard to get your hands on such things. Overall a fabulous week and will look forward to returning to the area again in the future. thank you.

Why they chose this property
Hendra Barn is an excellent choice for families, friends & couples. The Twin and Double Bedroom both have the added bonus of having en-suites. With your own outside space to have a morning cuppa or eat Alfresco, or even do some star gazing... There are no street lights here! With parking on your doorstep and the coast path being opposite it's the perfect location for exploring North Cornwall.
