For 4 days my sisters and I enjoyed the house and views very much! We also had wonderful meals at the Glenelg Pub.Unfortunately the location was much more remote than we expected (our own fault) and we were unprepared provision wise. Thankfully there is a little store in the village for a few supplies of groceries.
Beautiful Location. Loved the water views and the observatory/sun room. Beds very comfortable. Upstairs bathroom small. Great things to visit nearby. Taking the ferry with lots of fun. But getting to Isle of Skye using the bridge is a long drive.
A fantastic week, great house in an amazing location. The house had everything we needed, all the comforts of home in a beautiful setting. The added bonus of the Glenelg Inn (welcoming & fantastic food) & shop within a few mins walk makes a big difference. Lots to do nearby in the most beautiful setting. I hope we’ll be back soon!
Couldn't have asked for a better spot. The house had EVERYTHING you could need and was a great base after a day in the hills. We hope to be back next year!
Olivia’s cottage was fantastic. Really well equipped, comfy beds and the most beautiful view and village. Recommendation to go to the Glenelg Inn was spot on. We had a great weekend, thank you!
Lovely house with just the best view out to Skye you can imagine. Well appointed kitchen, very comfy beds and incredible raised decking area for views of the loch.
5 mins drive from the most wonderful micro brewery tap room Dun Brewing, which was the highlight of the trip.
Also walkable to a cosy pub and village shop which was a plus.
Great communication from host. Would stay again
We loved the remoteness of this property! Beautiful views. Fascinating little village. Bring supplies and food with you. It is a trek to a local grocery. The house is lovely inside with a unique floor plan which we loved. Beds are extremely comfortable. The Glenelg Inn was a special treat, great food!
We had a lovely stay over New Year. The cottage is very well equipped and stocked. The heating was good and the added bonus of a log burning stove for the evenings.
The cottage has a smart TV, excellent wifi and is a five minute walk from the excellent Glenelg Inn - great food and tasty locally-brewed beers - and the very well stocked local shop with plenty of local produce.
There are lovely walks either from the cottage, or others after a short drive, all of which were dog friendly for off lead walking.
We stayed for 9 days traveling various places in Scotland, all of our experiences were lovely, however, staying at this site was our favorite part of the group. The hosts are welcoming and attentive. Everything was clean and easily located. We had many day trips to Sky, Inverness, and Lochness. We loved dining and the Glenelg Inn and were met only by friendly people. Thank you so much for making our stay a perfect memory for my family.
We spent 5 nights at the Tigh Na Crieg cottage and loved everything about the place and setting.
The house is as described, beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and the water is hot.
You do need to mind your head on the second floor.
We loved the village of Glenelg, the ferry to Skye and all the people we met.
Stay here as long as you can!
I stayed in Olivia's cottage with my family for four nights and we loved every minute of it.
The cottage was the perfect size for the five of us with two of my sons sharing one of the upstairs bedrooms. My oldest sons are quite tall and had some difficulty navigating the low ceilings in the upstairs bathroom but this is a minor quibble. The kitchen was fully outfitted with everything we needed and we enjoyed cooking ourselves meals with local produce and seafood.
The accommodations were quite comfortable and we had all the linens we required. The wood burning fireplace was lovely and we enjoyed the company of the neighbors, Jan and Trish, as well as their dog, Ollie, upon our arrival.
The cottage is located a literal stone's throw from the sea and if you aren't packing your rain gear for your stay you should, it can get quite ugly outside. To me this is part of the charm and I wouldn't change a bit of it.
Olivia was helpful and communicative prior to our stay and she helped make our time in her cottage a most pleasant experience.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Olivia's place and I would gladly stay there again!
