Quality furnished apartment close to beach & village. The large 28 sq.m. elevated veranda features a built-in BBQ with outdoor furniture and views over Burgau village, and the Monchique mountains in the distance. There are 2 bedrooms, one double, one twin. The double, master bedroom has an En-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath/shower. The second bathroom enjoys a NEW, double-size walk in shower - both bathrooms enjoying under-floor heating. Every room leads onto the sunny south-east facing balcony, and there is also air-conditioning throughout the apartment.

The lounge features the latest 37' LED TV with most UK TV channels, all SKY Sports, F1 and Golf, and also BT Sports channels. Most European channels also included(DE, FR, PT, NL, BE, SW).plus DVD, Bluetooth speaker.

We offer a broadband connection enabling Wi-Fi within the apartment, which is included in the rental price.

Part of the 4-star Domusiberica complex, set in beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, with its own exclusive outdoor communal pool, and a separate children's splash pool.

Adjoining the pools is a large, fenced, lawn area ideal for ball games and for children to play in safety. The complex is situated on the edge of the village overlooking the beach and adjacent to the National park.

Take a short 2 minutes stroll into the delightful fishing village of Burgau and a further 3 mins down the cobbled streets to the beach. Burgau has a wide selection of restaurants, cafes and bars; whilst also having a BLUE FLAG beach of clean white sand.

Burgau is easy to reach from Faro airport, taking just under a hour on the A22 motorway. Car hire is very reasonable and enables exploration of the area. For a really relaxing holiday arrive by Taxibus. The village is self contained with small shops, food stores and restaurants so a car is not necessary. There is also a small farmers market most days with fresh fruit, vegetables and fish. Lagos is only a short journey away, and the bus service is very good, and taxis reasonably priced.

Monchique is a breathtaking rural town, just 20 minutes inland from Portimao on Portugal’s Algarve Coast. Caldas de Monchique is a charming centuries-old spa town - wonderfully peaceful, ideal to enjoy walks and picnics.

Slide and Splash at Lagoa is the nearest water park for the children, and Zoomarine at Guia (near Albufeira),though a little further away, (forty minute drive) is a great family day out - take swimsuits (there are pools as well).
Heading west towards Sagres and further on, are the more exposed beaches of the western Atlantic coast, including beautiful Amado and slightly more deserted Bordeira, with their great surfing conditions.

Burgau apartment

Great apartment with all the amenities you require for a great holiday. Very comfortable firm mattresses on beds great showers in bathroom and good sized balcony to relax on. You get the morning sunshine and have use of the pool area across the rd. We really enjoyed our stsy.sized ba

Very well appointed apartment close to beach and great town

The property was to a very high standard with lots of space and everything you need. We loved to sit on the very large balcony for breakfast and throughout the day, Bergau was less than five minutes walk away with a terrific selection of restaurants serving great food and a great beach, It was easy to drive to many local towns with lots of things to do. The property owner and property manager were both very responsive and helpful.

Beautifully maintained apartment just on the edge of Burgau. The apartment is very well equipped but could do with a step stool in the kitchen to reach the cupboards. The apartment is east facing so the terrace only has sun in the morning but there is use of the pool and loungers in the Nova Bar at the end of the road. Easy access to the lovely bars and restaurants in Burgau and the beautiful beach. Would book again.

Great property in Burgau

A lovely welcoming property that had everything you need. It is well maintained, clean property. Just a short stroll from the centre of Burgau x highly recommend; you won’t be disappointed.

The apartment was very clean, well laid out with a large balcony and very comfy beds. We were glad to have the air con during the hot weather. We didn’t meet anyone from the management company and couldn’t find the reception when we needed to explain a breakage. The pool was very disappointing; run down, dirty and with not enough umbrellas and that really lets the apartment down. But the local beach was beautiful and so we spent most of our time there.

First class apartment

Thoroughly enjoyed our three week stay at this very comfortable apartment. Truly a home from home. Very clean and well furnished and equipped. Quiet and peaceful with a lovely view from all the rooms and the balcony across the fields to the village. Just a short walk to the village shops and restaurants and the beautiful beach . We love Burgau and are returning to this apartment next September.

Spacious, comfortable and clean.

The apartment is situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of Burgau, within a few minutes walk of restaurants and supermarkets etc. Lots of nice walks to be enjoyed in the area, with direct access to the coastal trail. Good location for exploring the wider area, as the roads are very good, well sign-posted and quiet. Only a limited number of restaurants are open at this time of year, which is to be expected, but still sufficient. If you enjoy cooking, suggest you visit the Intermarche supermarket, which is only a few miles away on the N125, heading west. Great choice of fresh fish, fruit and veg etc (there is also a petrol station on site). The indoor market in Lagos is also worth a visit. We stayed for 10 days, most of which were very warm and sunny and at this time of year, there are lots of birds and wild flowers to be seen. We really enjoyed our stay and can recommend both the apartment and the area.

Peaceful and relaxing

I was met by joao who was very welcoming and showed me around the apartment and how to use the WiFi and utilities. I loved the extra touch of having a small welcome pack of bread, butter, milk and juice and most importantly a bottle of red. I wish most property let’s was this nice and welcoming. The appartment had everything we needed and was really clean. We hired a car from the airport and found the appartment very easily with the details given and parking out side. We used the car to drive to Lagos and found a car park for €1 a day Amazing. Burgau is very easy to walk around and stunning. I would honestly tell everyone one to not judge Burgau by the pictures on google they do not do it justice. Myself and friends are already looking forward to returning to Burgau next year or later this summer. Thank you Steve and Mandy for letting us stay in your home. Best wishes

Well appointed luxury apartment

Clean, comfortable, modern apartment situated close to Burgau's amenities. The weather was in the high 30's so the excellent user friendly air con was most welcome. Ana's professional & efficient manner, great communication skills and approachability ensured our stay was the best it could be: nothing was too much trouble.

Fabulous apartment!

The property was perfect for our two week stay there. We were met by Ana who showed us around the apartment & explained all the appliances etc. The apartment was immaculate with very comfortable beds, good quality furniture etc. Very well equipped with wifi and smart tv system. This is probably the best holiday let we've rented and is better than the 2 others we saw on the development (we stayed a 3rd week in another apartment in the next block!) However..... we were a bit disappointed by the complex itself. It all felt quite unloved. The gym has closed down, the grounds around the pool & playground needed maintaining, bins around the pool area weren't emptied for days on end and toilets weren't cleaned very often. On the plus side the Tomik restaurant was excellent.

First Class Apartment

This was our second stay at Steve and Mandy's lovely apartment. It is superb in every way; it is spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and the balcony is fabulous! Ana and Daniella are marvellous, they are really friendly and always on hand if you need them. We love Burgau and the surrounding area and Steve and Mandy's apartment is the icing on the cake! Thank you again for a wonderful stay and we hope to be back soon. A big thank you too for the welcome pack, you really do think of everything :-)

Great place to stay.

The pictures were great, but Steve and Mandys Appartment was even better.... We had a warm welcome from Ana who is the local contact and had a wonderful week in the tiny village of Burgau. Not too busy but nice places for dinner and a nice Beach bar. Rental car is a good possibility to explore the surrounding. We will come back!!!

Would Highly Recommend

We were greeted on arrival by Ana the local agent who was most friendly and helpful in showing us the apartment and she was only a text/phone call away if we needed her. A welcome pack awaited us which was most thoughtful and much appreciated! The apartment is well set out, spotlessly clean and comfortable and in a very quiet area though within easy walking distance of the beautiful Burgau beach and some excellent restaurants - our favourites being Ancora, the Beach Bar (either at lunchtime or in the evening), Matias do a fantastic cataplana and the handy Casa Padaria Pizza (sit in or takeaway). The apartment balcony is very spacious and very peaceful with a great view over the village. The Wi-Fi worked brilliantly and we were able to get the British UK TV channels. We hired a car for a few days and visited nearby Salema (another gorgeous beach), Praia da Luz and Cabanas Velhas. We would certainly recommend this property. Thank you to Steve and Mandy. We hope to return soon!

The Best Holiday apt. ever!

This was easily the best holiday rental we have ever had; everything in the apartment was in good condition and it was in good decorative order. Both bathrooms are large and very modern, with a very large shower in one, and a very good shower over a jacuzzi bath in the other. The girls in the party loved them. I loved the balcony which must be 30' long and faces east; great for eating breakfast on. The built in bbq was great for cooking dinner at home. There are two ladies who look after the apartment, who both speak good English, and they are very friendly and helpful. A great base from which to explore the west Algarve from Cape St. Vincent to Portimau. We shall return!

A perfect apartment

The apartment is well located close to the village, and is only a 5 minute walk from the beach. Burgau is a lovely little village, and offers the perfect relaxing holiday for those who wish to get away. Steve and Mandy were excellent in communication before we arrived, and were on hand to answer any questions that we had and once we arrived Anna was there to greet us and show us around the apartment. The apartment is well cared for and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable home from home experience, as well as a large terrace making it perfect for BBQ evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Thanks once again

Fantastically enjoyable and relaxing holiday!!

This was our second visit to this apartment in Burgau (visited previously in April 2014) and yet again it didn't disappoint. The apartment is absolutely fantastic and made that little bit more special with a lovely welcome pack, including a few necessities and wine. It is an extremely clean and well equipped apartment. We enjoyed eating out at many of the restaurants in Burgau which were no more than a 5 minute walk away, as well as enjoying a BBQ out on the very spacious veranda of the apartment, while looking out over Burgau at night. The addition of the breakfast bar in the kitchen gave a lot more working space for food preparation and the new side screens on the veranda meant it was that little bit more private. The pool area was very clean with a large number of sunbeds and umbrellas available. Newly opened "Tomic" was a great addition to our visit this time around, serving a variety of quality dishes at lunch time, as well as in the evenings. Located on the pool complex, this made getting refreshments during the day easily accessible. We also enjoyed days out at the beach. Burgau beach is only a very short walk away with crystal clear sea and golden sand. The beach bar served amazing food, again both at lunchtime and in the evenings. We took a short drive around the west coast to Amado beach. This was fantastic. The waves were a lot bigger at this beach which gave us the opportunity to spectate some amazing surfing. Overall we had a wonderful holiday staying in a beautiful apartment and enjoying what Bugau had to offer!! We will definitely be returning!! Thank you Steve and Mandy.

Fab relaxing stay

Hi Steve, thanks again for allowing us to rent your apartment. I did make a bit of a mistake on arrival by forgetting to let Ana know we were on our way ! Luckily when I rang her she was only ten minutes away. She was very helpful in showing us around the apartment etc,the supplies in the fridge and wine were a real godsend thanks. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of your apartment and the whole developement ,really tidy and well maintained. Burgau was lovely especially the beach ! Again very clean and safe although the sea was absolutely freezing . We ate out most nights although on our first proper night couldn't get a table anywhere unless you wanted an Indian, so you really have to book a couple of nights ahead where you want to eat. Favourite restaurant was Ancora although bit more expensive as you say in the pack, also Padaria, Beach bar and Tomik were very good. Pool area was lovely although surprised to see canopy still covering it ? Also one quite annoying rule occasionally you had to go out of pool area into bar and back round again for refreshments ! Quite a lot of people were mystified by this including bar staff. All in all though Steve we had a great time thanks once again, Andy.

Wonderful relaxing holiday

Well one again our holiday to Burgau was excellent. The apartment was clean, well equipped and very peaceful - a real home from home. Breakfast/lunch/dinner on the veranda is perfect, very private with no one overlooking you. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance and a new restaurant Tomik which has opened on the pool site, with delicious meals (including breakfast) and poolside refreshments. Thank you once again for another perfect holiday.

Excellent apartment in lovely, quiet location

Steve and Mandy's apartment is wonderfully spacious, well decorated and equipped with everything you will need for your stay. Very secure and quiet with a beautiful balcony to eat out on and barbecue your dinner. About 5 minutes walk to the main beach, restaurants and bars in Burgau and 3 or 4 minutes in a car to the beautiful Cabanas Velhas beach. Burgau is a quaint village with very welcoming locals and an ideal location for a very relaxing break in the Algarve, close to the larger cities of Portimao, Praia de Luz and Lagos. We would certainly highly recommend it and will be returning again very soon.
