Set in the popular village of Coniston, with local pubs, independent shops and cafes a short stroll away, Springbank Cottage is the perfect base from which to explore the beauty of the Lake District. Set back on a hill, with a bright, open aspect, the cottage takes excellent advantage of the breath-taking views from all sides. With the Old Man of Coniston above and Coniston Water below, the location is as perfect as the cottage itself. Guests looking for adventure will find ample storage for bikes and SUPs.
Those wanting a holiday from driving can leave their car on the private driveway and enjoy world-famous hiking routes, water sports and cycling trails straight from the door. At the end of the day, relax and unwind in the comfy sofas, or soak your muscles in the luxurious bath – bliss!
Ground Floor
The spacious hallway has ample storage for coats and shoes. Off the hall you will find a utility room conveniently located by the entrance with additional hanging space – perfect for storing and drying your wet-weather gear. The utility room also houses a Samsung washer/dryer, under-counter freezer and sink. Through the utility is a stylish W.C. with sink and heated towel rail.
Step across the hallway from the utility room into the high-spec kitchen/dining room. A cosy yet spacious room with views to the rugged Cumbrian fells to the front. The solid wood dining table has seating for 4 hungry guests. Keen cooks will find Nirvana in the well-equipped kitchen, complete with Miele fridge and dishwasher, large Rangemaster induction cooker, microwave, and DAB radio. It’s the ideal place to have your delicious, home-cooked dinner whilst you relive the day’s adventures.
Back across the central hallway leads to the cottage’s lounge with attractive bay window with views onto the pretty garden. The living space features plump sofas and armchairs and a huge Smart TV, all focused around a log-burning stove, which will only enhance the cosy, contented feeling you will experience after a day of making memories in the Lakes. Peek in the cupboard under the stairs and you will find a library of local books and walking maps, hand-picked by the cottage’s knowledgeable owners, all designed to help you make the most of your visit to the National Park.
