Luxury Apartment in the heart of Diocletian’s Palace with large private terrace.

Luxury first floor apartment nestled in the heart of the ancient Roman Diocletian's palace. The apartment has 2/3 generously proportioned double bedrooms, large living and dining area, 3 spacious bathrooms and a large private terrace. Please note that the third bedroom doubles up as the sitting room and the bed is a sofa bed. The apartment offers all conveniences including, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, cable. TV with English movie channel, good Wi Fi connection, BBQ facilities and mounted hairdriers in each bathroom. We also have international power and usb sockets in each bedroom, as well as the dining room. Babysitting facilities and welcome packs can be arranged on request. Diocletian’s Palace is a pedestrianised zone, which means that car parking is a short walk away. There is a choice between paid and free parking, although free parking is slightly further away.The property can be reached by taxi or coach from Split airport which takes about 30 mins or why not allow us to arrange a private pick up from the airport for the same price as a taxi - we use Gecko tours, an excellent local tour operator who also offers a discount on many local tours (bespoke or advertised) for Prisca guests.

NB. Please note - this apartment is for a maximum of 6 people and unauthorised accommodation of any further guests will risk further charges.

Great flat w Amazing On-site Manager

The flat was great in so many ways -- great communication w/ the host, big bedrooms w/ 3 full bathrooms, A/C in each room, Cable TV, central location, outdoor space, very clean and tidy. But the big plus was Baldo, the manager, who lives nextdoor. He was so helpful and had lots of information and insider tips -- he really made our stay memorable.

Fabulous apartment in an amazing location

We found the owners and the property manager to be really friendly, helpful and quick to respond to any queries. The apartment was just wonderful- clean, elegant, very well equipped and centrally located. The bathrooms in particular were beautiful, and we loved the terrace area. The next day, Baldo the on site manager drove us to the airport and he was really punctual, and super helpful. We were just sorry that we only had time for one night there as we would have loved to stay for longer. We will most definitely be back! Nick and Nicky

A lovely apartment in a perfect location

My family and I spent four nights at this lovely apartment in Split last week. It is in a perfect location in the centre of the City. The bathrooms and kitchens are very modern and high spec, and the apartment well furnished and exceptionally clean. In such a prized location it was particularly nice to have a large terrace and outdoor furniture. We were met on arrival by our host Baldo who was unfailingly professional and so knowledgable and helpful - from where to park our car, helping with our luggage, recommending tours and some really super restaurants for dinner on several evenings. If we were to return to Split, I would not hesitate to book this apartment again. Our sincere thanks to Baldo for facilitating our lovely stay at the apartment and a great visit to Split. Absolutely wonderful stay in Diocletian Palace

We LOVED the apartment in the Diocletian Palace and had a lovely visit in Split. Baldo and the owners were wonderful and attended to all our needs and requests. Truly went above and beyond with recommendations and tips. Our family of four plus two of our kids young adult friends stayed comfortably in this space. It was clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The location was perfect and we cannot say enough about how happy we were. Highly recommend! Thank you.

Absolutely stunning apartment, fantastic location and great communication

This is the second time we've come to Prisca Apartment and it's always a treat. You are in the Heart of Diocletian's palace and can feel the absolute buzz of the city from the wonderful courtyard. We had a transfer arranged which was waiting for us at the airport (Baldo is amazing!) and ended up booking a tour with the company gecko, advertised in the apartment who we thoroughly recommend. The apartment has all the equipment to allow for meals if you fancy cooking and the comfort to allow a cosy night in. Thank you for another wonderful stay! We hope to be back again!

Amazing property in a stunning location

Stayed here for 3 nights with four female friends. The apartment was even better than we expected, and in the heart of the Diocletian palace - absolutely perfect! The owners we exceptionally helpful in advance, and Gecko tours were brilliant and took care of us from start to finish, always going out of their way to be helpful. This is perfectly located for exploring Split, the islands and further afield. We cannot recommend this apartment and Gecko Tours highly enough. Thank you!

Beautiful apartment in a truly unique location ...

We are a family of four who stayed five nights at Prisca following a weeks stay at the owners other property on the island of Brac . What an amazing combination the two properties turned out to be - both very different but unique in their own ways. Apartment Prisca is a beautifully renovated, stylish and exceptionally spacious apartment located within the ancient Diocletian Palace itself. It is located in one of the quieter streets within the palace and overlooks a couple of small, attractive restaurants and cafes. The atmosphere itself is therefore really quite special - paticularly when sat on the terrace at the end of a day's activity with a glass in hand ! The owners, Steven and Thea, were always available in the background should we need anything and Baldo, the friendly and ever enthusiastic property manager always on hand to share his knowledge of things local! Nothing was too much trouble for him. He spent time with us recommending places and restaurants to visit - advice we took and we were never disappointed. From our base we explored the beautiful city of Split, Marjan Hill, restaurants in the Veli Varos part of town , local attractive beach areas (all within walking distance) . We also arranged a private day trip through Baldo with Gecko Tours to Krka National Patk, Sibenik and enjoyed a traditional meal with a local family ( highly recommended as a trip and as a company to book through) . A fabulous trip all round. We hope to return to Prisca and would recommend it without hesitation !

Best place in Split

Just back from another memorable visit to Croatia. We spent 11 days in Apartment Prisca- my husband and I (73),our son, his wife and our grandsons (9 and 11). The apartment was everything we expected and more! The Robinson's were super easy to make arrangements with...and as a frequent traveler ....we know this isn't always the case. The location was perfect. The patio was where we spent all of our at home time... The patio table and chairs were amazingly comfortable. We loved Baldo and would definitely follow all of his advice! He arranged our Split Airport pick-up, a countryside/ archeological tour and a speedboat transfer to the incredible Robinson cottage in Postira. I could list all of the restaurants we loved, but just ask Baldo! Don't forget to visit the Kruscic Bakery and the D16 Specialty Coffee right across from the front door. We also recommend Adriatic Sushi & Oyster bar for the tempura fried oysters and, actually, everything else on the menu... We ate there twice and I think we tried almost everything! I have an Instagram account (public) that has lots if pictures if you're interested (patwilburn73) and an open Facebook group CROATIA 2017, also.

Absolutely Fantastic Apartment

I am somewhat reluctant to write a glowing review as this may lead to the Apartment being so fully booked I will not be able to get a holiday next year!, As you can tell from my opening line, we had an amazing time in Split, this Apartment was a very strong contributing factor. My Wife and I are very well accustomed to renting accommodation rather than taking hotels, and were really pleasantly surprised when we arrived here. Typical rental apartments are stocked with furniture and utensils from what could be a charity shop or boot sale, THIS apartment was a world apart, we instantly felt that this was a place where one could actually live full time rather than just a holiday rental, the attention to detail and quality of the fitout is as one would expect in our own home. The location within the walls of the Diocletian Palace gives a feel of security and exclusivity and to have our own balcony was a lovely bonus, we sat and played cards and had a drink before going out exploring in the evening. There was a previous review that said that during the weekend it could be noisy in the apartment due to the restaurants outside, it may be the case that the restaurants do generate noise, but the double glazing and the shutters of the apartment are such good quality, any noise is immediately silenced when closed. And closed they should be as the Aircon will only work when they are closed. On the day of arrival Baldo arranged a pick up from the Airport, he then sat down with us and pointed out on the maps items of interest (all of which we made a point of seeing over the next 4 days) Because we arrived well before check in time, we were able to leave our cases at the Apartment and then went off to explore the area for the next 3 hours, I must admit I was a little concerned about being able to find my way back to the Apartment as the entrance is little more than a faceless door and considering neither of us speak any Croatian we feared the worse. Fear not!, within an hour we had mentally mapped out the location and by the second day were bravely taking alleyways that we knew not where they led, what we found was literally every corner and alley there would be another bar or restaurant which eventually became familiar (you really could spend the entire break just within the Palace, there is just so much to see and do). We are already planning our return next year, and are trying to work out the logistics of a two center break, incorporating the sister property.

A luxurious, well positioned appartment, ideal for families or small groups

Our family of five had a wonderful 5 night stay here. The apartment was perfectly positioned to explore Split and the surrounding areas. All amenities were in very easy reach but once inside, the apartment was a little oasis of quiet, calm and cool with no sound disturbance despite being close to bars and restaurants. The apartment was spacious, luxurious and very comfortable. It exceeded our expectations in just about every department and we all agreed (children and adults) that it was the nicest apartment we have stayed in. We would recommend this place for anyone visiting Split.

Wonderful apartment in the Diocletian Palace

The apartment is very well equipped, having 2ensuite bathrooms plus an extra shower room and toilet. The terrace was great for breakfast and in the afternoon was bathed with sunshine. We didn't use dining room indoors as weather was warm and the terrace was great for enjoying a few beers when we got home. Baldo was very attentive, nothing was any trouble and he arranged a private tour of Krka National park for our group of 4. Our guide that day was Duje a really interesting young man, lots of stories to tell and his knowledge of Croatia was extensive. We also took the ferry to Brac which was beautiful, prices for food and drink were not expensive. We had a wonderful time in Split and will certainly return. Perhaps I should mention that at the weekend the bars and cafe downstairs were really noisy.

Luxury apartment in perfect location!

This apartment is sheer luxury with the added bonus of a terrace to sit and relax after exploring the sights. The location is perfect as it is right in the old city centre with easy access to ferries, buses, restaurants and bars. The property has been modernised to a high standard and is well maintained. Baldo was extremely friendly and helpful, recommending restaurants, places to visit as well as ensuring transfers to and from the airport were trouble free. Excellent Apartment

Just returned from a 4 night stay. Apartment exceeded our expectations in every way. Great location. Comfortable, clean, very well equipped & furnished to a very high standard.. Very spacious surroundings. Has a lovely terrace to relax on after a busy day. Baldo the apartment manager is on hand to cater to your every need. Transfers arranged to & from the airport. Also great advise given on eating out, places to see & trips to take. Gecko Tours who they use are a fantastic company. Tour guide Ivan full of useful knowledge & knows all the history of Split you need to know. If you book this apartment you will not be disappointed. Excellent value for money.

This apartment was fabulous and every bit as good as the photos on the web site indicate. The apartment is beautifully designed and the furnishings of great quality. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and very comfortable. The apartment is attractive and beautifully situated of course inside the Palace walls. There is a buzz in the evenings from the cafes and bars beneath the apartment, which I found lovely to listen to as I feel asleep in my fantastically comfortable bedroom. Baldo manages the apartment. He was there to meet us on our arrival in Split and to hand over the keys, He spent time with us on arrival to point out the best places to visit. best restaurants etc. His recommendations were all great and didn't disappoint. He was charming, helpful and full of local knowledge. We so much enjoyed exploring Split and our visits to the islands of Brac and Hvar, which are stunningly beautiful. There is easy access to these islands (and many others) from the ferries, and sea plane, that are an easy walk from the apartment. The apartment is well located and we loved it. The owners were extremely helpful before our visit and responded quickly and helpfully to my pre-visit email enquiries. Top marks to the apartment owners for providing a wonderful property and for their professionalism and helpfulness.

We spent 5 days from Dec 28 to Jan 2 in this perfectly renovated spacious apartment amidst the remains of the Diocletian Palace. We really enjoyed everything - the city, the Kroatian pepole, the sunny weather, the cafes, bars and restaurants. Lots of young people attended Split's advent festival, strolling along the Riva seaside and the old town behind it. The whole city impressed us with its lively though calm atmosphere. It takes only short walks to the green and fish markets which gave us the opportunity to prepare our own New Years Eve's meal with fresh local ingredients. We also give a big hand to our kind host Baldo for his very helpful recommendations. It is the perfect place to spend the turn of the year!

MAGNIFICENT!

A beautiful apartment in a perfect location within the old palace walls in Split. The apartment is completely modern and comfortable, yet with a charming old world feel to it, including some spaces showing the original palace walls. The apartment is stunning and super clean, but an additional advantage of this apartment is the ease of dealing with the owners and the talent and enthusiasm of their local manager. All parties were extremely prompt in communications, very easy to deal with and our trip to Split (and beyond to Dubrovnik) was greatly enhanced by the local manager's suggestions. Fabulous time and when we return to Split or decide to visit the island of Brac, we will definitely try to book with these owners.

Short break

We could not wished for a better place to stay, it was perfect, right in the centre of the old city but still providing a quiet retreat. The apartment was fantastic , well equipped, it was difficult to tear ourselves away from it. Beds were so comfy, terrace provided a place to sit and relax after our busy days, would go back in an instant. Baldo was an endless source of information and helped us make the most of our four days.

Beautiful Apartment

This is a beautiful apartment right in the heart of the Diocletian's Palace, where you are surrounded by history at every turn. The apartment has been very thoughtfully modernised and has everything for a perfect stay. We were a party of two couples and both bedrooms were huge with lovely en-suite bathrooms so we didn't have to fight over who got the master room. The living area is huge and comfortable and these is very effective and quiet air conditioning in all rooms. The kitchen is small but fantastically equipped with a frig/freezer, a washing machine, washing up machine and all the utensils and crockery you could possibly require. Not that we did any cooking as there are hundreds of restaurants close by and every one we tried was excellent and very reasonable. We sat out on the terrace for breakfast each morning and for a drink before bed. It was a delight. The noise from the street and restaurants and bars close by was loud and bustling but fun to be part of, but as soon as you were inside with the doors and windows closed you could hardly hear a thing, and the beds are so comfortable. The owners sent lots of useful material before we went, including contact details for Baldo, who manages the property, and who is an absolute joy. We contacted him before our trip and arranged for him to pick us up from the airport. He sent lots of helpful information and web links before we arrived and was a mine of information whilst we were there. He knows everywhere to go and how to get there in the best way, and his recommendations were always perfect. His enthusiasm for his town and his country is infectious. We loved everything about the apartment, about Split and about Croatia. Can't wait to go again, and we would definitely book the same place.

Lovely apartment

This is a lovely apartment exactly as pictured. Communication prior to our arrival was simple and always prompt. We were greeted by a helpful and enthusiastic host who provided plenty of useful advice for our stay. The level of hospitality we received from both our host and the owners was really above and beyond, even for such a friendly country! The apt itself is decked out with everything you need, including a sound system and reliable wifi! We didn't use the bbq at all, but we used the terrace morning and evening - the perfect place to start the day and the perfect place to relax in the evening! It's an ideal location as it's right in the heart of the touristy palace, with easy access to everything. There are several restaurants and grocers within walking distance outside the palace as well. Being in the centre did worry us for noise, but we only experienced issues with loud music on the Saturday night... closing all the shutters blocks out most of it and anything else we were able to ignore because the beds were extremely comfortable!! There are a lot of choices, and a lot of choices lower in price, but we had no regrets with this decision!

Beautiful Hideaway in the Diocletian Palace

As an ex Holiday Rental owner I tend to look at my holiday apartment in a different way. This property has high quality fixture fittings and finish and therefore a delight to stay in. Be prepared to be spoilt with the location and, with its terrace you will be immersed in the magic of this historic Palace. Bars Restaurants Boutiques in every alley way. I have been to Split before but keep discovering those courtyards tucked away full of candlelit tables, artist galleries and the most amazing shops. Nothing will disappoint from the greeting you get from Baldo the property manager who was born within the Palace and lives in the same block and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the City . We are a British family who first invested in a waterfront fisherman's cottage on the island of Brac(property no. 55026) in 2004 and fell in love with Croatia's wonderful landscapes, people and food. In 2013 we felt it was time to make a second purchase in this beautiful, historic centre of Split and were fortunate enough to find this very special property. In April 2014, we completed the project and are pleased to make this lovely apartment available for others to enjoy.

Why they chose this property

It's a perfectly positioned, spacious apartment with its own very rare, private terrace in the historic Diocletian's Palace. The apartment offers access to a beautiful coastline, a great deal of Roman history and many excellent restaurants, cafés and shops. Even the local supermarket is a site of historical interest. There is an amazing fish and vegetable market a short walk away, as well as an abundance of bakeries for your freshly baked, daily loaf!
