Honeymoon

Beautiful little traditional apartment, everything you need, literally steps from the main line station and bus stop, a very small quiet little town, solace after returning from busy cities etc. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Beach is walkable there and back, we didn’t bother getting buses there but we got a bus to Sorrento.

Lovely time in Meta

Had a great holiday in this apartment. Great location near a train station so makes it easy to do trips to Pompeii, Sorrento and Amalfi. Apartment is in town so easy to walk to shops restaurants and meta beach too. Had a really nice meal out in restaurant tico tico with a lovely view from their terrace. We drove to the apartment but the nearest parking is in a private block about 50meters from the apartment at a cost of €5 per day. Did manage to pull in to load and unload. Inside the apartment had everything we needed and has a lovely Italian feel. For any parents looking at this apartment there are waterproof covers on all the beds which may save on packing space. Washing machine also very welcome. Lovely to sit in the balcony and have a meal or a glass of wine. Lots of cars and mopeds use the road outside the flat so you will get quite a lot of horn noise as is customary in Italy. Would highly recommend this apartment.

Perfect base to explore Amalfi coast

The apartment was perfect for exploring, it was across the road from both the bus stop and the train station. We would certainly like to stay here again. Meta has a lovely beach which we enjoyed. It is a lovely walk down to the beach and then there is a bus that runs frequently from the beach back up to the bus stop opposite the apartment and then on to Sorrento (1.20 Euro) We would certainly recommend a stay here.

Beautiful apartment, in an ideal location for exploring.

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at this apartment. I am very happy to say that it is everything it says and more! The photos really don't do it justice, there is an element of wow factor when you first walk in. The owner met us at the train station and walked us to the apartment. We were shown everything and things were explained to us. There was a basket of food items to start us off and some beautiful fresh oranges, this was a nice touch, as it allowed us to have a cup of tea and rest before we went exploring. We were told about local restaurants and where the supermarket is. This was all a great help, having just arrived. Our stay here was amazing, lazy breakfasts on the terrace and cool afternoons in the air conditioned rooms. The apartment is located a 5 min walk from the Circumvesuviana station. This gives access to Sorrento, Naples and amazing places in between. We used this the whole of our stay and it cost us 5.20 Euros return to Sorrento. It is very easy to get around and very cheap. There is a bus stop outside the apartments too and you can get a bus to Sorrento or down to Meta beach. Meta beach is beautiful, the facilities are amazing. It is a 15/20 min walk downhill to the beach and the bus brings you back up. We had a wonderful stay and this was made better by having a lovely base. We would happily return here if we went to Sorrento again. Highly recommend the apartment, very high standard and good facilities. Thank you both for making out stay in Italy a pleasant one!

Well kept clean apartment.

My daughter and I had a lovely week at this beautiful apartment. A credit to the owners who made us very welcome It was handy for the shops, tourist information, buses, trains just a short walk away. If you are to holiday in the Sorrento area, consider staying here, you will not regret it.

Home from home

We have stayed several times in Meta, in an apartment in an orchard, in a historic building and perched high up on the top of the cliff. In all of these, we had lovely holidays. This time we decided to be nearer the Circumvesuviana station and within easy walking distance of our friends that live in Piano. Grazia`s apartment fulfilled all our requirements. On a sunny, somewhat blusterous day in the last week in April, Grazia met us at the station, which is a few minutes’ walk from the apartment. Her husband and daughter were also there to show us around and explain how everything worked. This is where the family lives a lot of the time, in the summer. During the four weeks we stay here, we lived as we do at home, preparing most of the meals ourselves and eating out two or three times a week. For this, the apartment is well equipped. There are several food shops within a short walking distance. Crai supermarket in Via Caracciolo has a fairly good selection, especially fruit and vegetables. There is a small Deco supermarket on the main road, Corso Italia and a little further along there is a very good fish shop, a butcher, a bakery, a lady’s hairdresser, a barber and towards Piano, there is a Carrefour supermarket, beside Banco di Napoli with an ATM. A further ten minutes’ walk along the main road and you come to the large Sisa supermarket in Piano. They have a very big selection of food and wines, including a good butchery and ready prepared take-away food. It costs just € 1,20 on the train or bus into Sorrento. The bus stop is right outside the apartment. There are several good restaurants in Meta; three of our favourites being La Conca, Tico Tico and Golden Beach – all of these are down beside the beach. Another lovely restaurant, with reasonable prices, is Il Cantuccio in Massa Lubrense. It is away from the rather overcrowded Sorrento and has magnificent views towards Capri. Simply take Bus A from the stop opposite the apartment and get off at the last stop in Massa Lubrense. The restaurant is just a few yards from the bus stop. If you are first in Massa Lubrense, the walk down to the little harbour is very rewarding. The apartment is comfortably furnished and the terrace with lots of lovely flowering plants, is sunny most of the daytime but also has a nice shaded area for dining. The TV has the Sky package and it was nice to follow the Giro d`Italia and watch the odd football game. Thank you Grazia and look forward to seeing you again.

Italian escape!

On arrival in Meta we were greeted by Grazia whom was very nice and spoke good English. She showed us to the apartment which is only a few minutes away from the bus stop and the train station. The apartment was nicely decorated and fully furnished and with all necessary equipment for a perfect stay. The photos are true to life. All local amenities are nearby and within walking distance which makes it a perfect base for exploring surrounding tourist attractions. Pompeii was 25 minutes direct train journey, Herculaneum 35 mins and Sorrento 6 mins. Although the train station is in view from the apartment, this does not intrude on this apartment. The large terrace was lovely to sit out each morning and have breakfast and look out and see the amazing views. We walked down to the clean, lovely beach which took about 20 minutes and got the bus back as it is quite steep. Grazia and her husband travelled from Naples and arrived at 6.15 in the morning of our departure, and insisted on assisting us with our luggage to the bus stop which we were very grateful for. Grazia was an excellent host whom would not hesitate to go out of her way to ensure a perfect holiday was had by all. Would definitely recommend this accommodation and area. Thanks Grazia for letting us stay in your apartment and may see you in the future.

Unforgettable holidays.

Grazia, her husband and son were very hospitable and helpful. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable, well-furnished and very clean, with a large, charming terrace and is located very close to the railway station. Travel by train allows quick access to the most interesting places of the region. A great place to visit Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Capri, Ischia, Vesuvio, Napoli, Pompei, Ercolano and all surrounding areas. Everything was great!

Comfortable apartment

A lovely apartment.Spotlessly clean just like the photos. Grazia met us at the bus stop and helped with our luggage a charming and helpful person. Welcome basket of food and oranges and lemons. Very near to the bus stop from the airport, also near to the railway that ran along the coast. Easy for Pompeii, Herculaneum and only a short trip into Sorrento with boat trips to Capri Amalfi and Positano .Really cheap train and bus fares everywhere .The beach was only a 15 min walk.Good restaurants nearby.I would recommend it to everyone. Even a small Super market 300 meters away. I really felt at home there.

Southern Italia in January

Elysia checked me in. She explained many things related to the apartment & the town of Meta & surrounding areas. I had been in the area 2 years prior but there’s always something new to learn. The apartment was charming & very clean plus several amenities plus coffee milk & breakfast breads were supplied & most appreciated! The apartment is in a great location right across from the train station where one can board a train all day long to Naples- Sorrento- & all points in between. The one time I needed the owner she was quick to reply. I highly recommend Sunny Holidays in Meta for your next trip to southern Italy plus it’s a gateway to the fantastic Amalfi Coast!

Great Experience

The owner made the stay easy and stress free. Location was right by train station...easy walk with the kids for all our day excursions. The apartment was a perfect place to relax after our long days out...fully equipped for meals and a nice patio for unwinding with a glass of wine! Host was friendly, welcoming and helpful in ensuring we got settled. Thank you for a great visit.

We had a very nice stay in Meta! It is VERY close and convenient to the train station and we used it a lot! We were greeted charmingly by the owner’s father. The unit was very generously stocked with so many nice groceries and treats….the nicest we have ever seen!

Schöne günstig gelegene Wohnung

Eine schöne und saubere Wohnung mit schöner großer Terrasse, sehr gepflegt. Günstig gelegen zu Bahnhof und Bushaltestellen, daher ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Capri, Sorrent, Neapel sowie an die Amalfi-Küste. Sehr nette Gastgeber.

Hidden Gem on the Sorrento Peninsula

A tremendous, thank you to Illaria for sharing her beautiful Sunny Holiday house with us. As newcomers to VRBO, we were not sure what to expect and Ilaria got us through the process and was always quick to answer our questions. You will be charmed by this welcoming apartment in Meta -just a few train or bus stops from Sorrento. We also visited Amalfi and took a cooking class nearby. Sunny Holidays had everything we were looking for - a quaint terrace, comfortable amenities, and a very central location. We even found a favorite restaurant in Meta and made it there twice, it was so good. Just ask Ilaria! If people make the place, then you are in great hands, staying with Ilaria in her quintessential Italian apartment.

Location location!

This is an amazing place to stay. Meta is the cutest with a beautiful beach. The location is everything. The train station is right across the street and the bus stop on the corner. There’s a perfect coffee shop up the hill and live music at night. Don’t hesitate to stay here. The terrace with all the beautiful flowers is perfect to sit and have coffee and some wine at night. I will definitely be back to stay here in the future.

Surpriced to be able to start out at once with milk, butter, a little coffee and different kind of cookies - thanks to Maurizio and Anna - friendly and sympatic hosts😀 We got quick and relevant information and instructions, even learnt to make tasteful espresso the Napoli way😀 From start to end a perfect communication via VRBO. Torna a' Surrient

Le RBNB était très bien placé, propre, et l’arrivée et le départ ont été très faciles et flexibles. L’hôte était très sympa et nous a conseillé pleins de bons restaurants :) Le RBNB est à 15 min à pied de la plage et 3 min de la gare (pour aller vers Sorrento ou Naples). Le Parking pour la voiture est à 2 min de l’appartement. Plutôt conseiller pour 2 adultes et deux enfants. Merci pour l'accueil !!

This property is so charming and so conveniently located! Ilaria was so kind and easy to communicate with. He met us at the train station, showed us the property, provided instuctions as well as breakfast. The terrace is gorgeous and we were comfortable and felt safe. We didn’t want to leave!! Wonderful stay in Meta

I stayed for ten weeks at this property and was very happy there. The unit is very clean and well equipped. Maurizio was very helpful and accommodating. He met me at the train station on my arrival and even though I don’t speak Italian we had no problems communicating. The apartment is located on the bus routes and across from the train station. The views, night and day from the terrace are wonderful and I hope to return next year in the spring.
