Adult family holiday

We absolutely fell in love with Sainte Eulalie D’Olt and the surrounding area. The property itself was perfect as was the host, Jean-Michel. The interior is perfect for adults and children with plenty of space to relax and eat when the weather prevents you enjoying the amazing garden, pool and patio area. Outside, you are spoilt for choice. The table tennis table and kayaks were the highlight of the holiday and, with acres of garden, there’s space for football, badminton, volley ball, frisbee etc. we enjoyed several long evenings barbequing at the outdoor dining table. The area is so peaceful and beautiful. We would highly recommend Jean-Michel and his home to everyone.

Wonderful family holiday with friends.

Great villa, everything we needed. Lovely pool and an amazing location. Bakery and restaurant within easy walking distance plenty to see and do in the area and a large garden and pool by the river to enjoy on those lazy days. Thanks for a great stay. Highly recommend.

Wonderful stay

The house was lovely, located in an amazing setting , overlooking the hillsides. Ideal for families who like to make their own entertainment.The village was beautiful and very picturesque . Our host Jean michel was very helpful and friendly, we will definitely be returning

A magical place

Saints-Eulalie-d’Olt Opposite Gite de la Calquiere, my home for the last fortnight, lies the metal workshop of Monsieur Rodriguez. Wiry grey hair, bespectacled, in scorched blue overalls, he waves as I walk by. Buildings of indeterminate age, but clearly centuries old, block early morning sun from flower filled, narrow, winding streets. Two elderly ladies, students of the pottery school, smile, wish me good day, as they toil over lumps of clay, moulding them into fabulous shapes. The street slopes down to a burbling brook, that once powered water mills whose ghostly forms are captured in sepia photographs adorning the slowly decaying buildings. A firework of floral display blazes brightly leading to a corner where an artists shop sits. Three painters on the bridge interpret the scene. Ancient doors, conceal the secrets of hidden occupants. Crumbling render, pan-tile roofs speak of bygone ages as swifts swoop from the church tower on the square. Pierre, second hand bookshop seller, gratefully accepts English versions of suntan cream stained paperbacks to add to his collection of French curiosities. Couples nurture, home grown produce from allotments that stretch like green fingers of a giant hand to the Lot. The watery artery so vital to the existence of this community. As I take my leave, chimes of bells, crow of cockerels, clang of cow bells on the hill, drift on the breeze. Sainte-Eulalia-d’Olt weaves its magical spell.

Beautiful Sainte Eulalie

This property exceeded all our hopes. Jean-Michel was charming and very helpful with our motorhome. Great location, comfortable, spacious house and grounds. Entertainment for the entire family; the pool was gorgeous, the bikes, canoes, boules all brilliant additions. We loved it all.

Last minute break

We enjoyed our stay, Jean-Micheal met us and ran us through everything we needed to know. Everything was clean and tidy, the villa is set is a really peaceful location and the nearby village is beautiful. Supermarket just 2km away. We made use of the canoes and bikes which were an added bonus

Pretty Location

Not often the weather suites the location! Beautiful village and many others to see within reasonable travelling distance, The property was ideal with good facilities including kayaks, table tennis, petanque and well kept swimming pool. Supermarket just 2 Km away.

Perfect for what we wanted

It was our golden wedding and decided that we would like to spend it with all our family, We decided on France so started looking. This was the one that seemed to tick the boxes. We planned everything in good time so as not to get disappointed. My husband fishes so the river was good. My daughters family are very active and loved the canoes using them quite a lot. The games were great all taking an active part in the Boules,table tennis and cycling. The village was a really super choice for Dave and I, as it was very quiet and peaceful. it had a lovely hotel with a bar we all used to visit most days just for few drinks and chat with the locals. They did not speak English very well but we managed. Jean-michel and his son helped my son to arrange the most wonderful meal for the evening of our anniversary. We went to "Le Lion d'or" which was an hotel in the next village where we went to the supermarket to buy our supplies. The time we were there was perfect and the weather was lovely. The one thing we thought the villa was lacking was toilets. There were only 2 for 8/10 people which we found was inadequate really other than that it had everything one needed. We would definitely recommend it .

Provided everything we wanted from a holiday.

A truly lovely villa, which ticked all the boxes we wanted from a Holiday! We spent 2 very enjoyable weeks, as two families of four, with children ranging from 8 to 17. Just as the photos imply, the property is very well appointed, with spacious rooms, well laid out and provide everything you could want from a holiday villa. The kitchen is very functional for a large group/family, with a separate utility area. The living space was flexible, with 2 separate eating areas, 1 inside and 1 outside – depending on your requirement for sun/shade and the time of day. Outside, the pool is a really good size with pool lights, which allowed us to swim late into the night. The surrounding area was large and provided a fantastic space to laze by the pool on very comfortable loungers. The garden provided a table tennis table and was also fully stocked with bikes for all the party’s use, in various sizes. Kayaks – 2 doubles and a single were also available (along with suitable buoyancy aids), with direct access onto the river at the bottom of the garden. The local area also provided excellent facilities on your doorstep – Intermarche – a 5 minutes’ drive away and Boulangeries in both villages, linked by a safe cycling route. Paddle boards and electric boats were available for hire in St Eulalie D’Olt and a good high ropes course was only 10 minutes away. The Aubrac plateau was a 30 minute drive away and provided breath-taking scenery, as well as another high ropes course at one of the ski-stations. Overall, if you love France, enjoy the freedom self-catering offers and want privacy away from the masses to relax, then this is well worth considering. We could not fault the property, Jean-Michel could not have been more helpful and the surrounding countryside and villages are just beautiful.

Sehr schöne Lage, sehr idyllisch gelegen und sehr ruhig!

Wir waren mit dem Gastgeber sehr zufrieden, schnelle Antwort per Mail und bei der Ankunft persönlich vor Ort. Es gab an der Unterkunft nichts auszusetzen! Leider konnten wir die bereitgestellten Kanus nicht nutzen, da die Tage zuvor es in der Region stark geregnet hatte und die Lot zuviel Wasser führte. Wir waren Mitte Mai vor Ort und hatten leider nur am Nachmittag halbwegs gutes Wetter. Was wohl aber nichts heißen muss. Der Pool war aber geheizt, was unseren Kindern trotzdem die Gelegenheit gab, diesen zu nutzen. Die Betten waren bequem und wie beschrieben komfortabel ausgestattet. Das Fernsehprogramm war ausschließlich französisch, übers Kabel / Internet. Wer also deutsches Fernsehen möchte, sollte sich am besten entsprechend um deutschen Internet-TV Stick kümmern und mitbringen. Wir haben es jedoch nur einen Abend genutzt, den Rest hatten wir mit schönen Gesellschaftsspielen verbracht. Resultat: Sehr schönes Haus, wie in der Anzeige beschrieben, volle Punkte Bewertung! Nur ein kleiner Hinweis, die Zufahrt zum Haus ist mit einem VW Multivan, nur mit angeklappten Außenspiegeln möglich. Autos die breiter sind wie 205 cm, werden leider Probleme bekommen, diese können aber nur wenige Meter entfernt geparkt werden, es gibt außerhalb des Ort einen öffentlichen Parkplatz. E-Autos können mit Euro-Stecker 13 Amp geladen werden. Wir hatten Juice-Booster z.B.

Super séjour dans l'Aveyron

Maison incroyable avec équipement exceptionnel. Malgré le mauvais temps, nous avons passé une superbe semaine dans ce gîte. Le village de Sainte-Eulalie est également incroyablement beau. Le propriétaire est très chaleureux et nous a réservé un super accueil.

Vacances en famille

Séjour très agréable en famille dans cet endroit calme et reposant. Maison tout confort. Nous étions 10 adultes, un bébé, 2 chiens et nullement à l’étroit. Le propriétaire de la maison est d’une très grande gentillesse, très à l’écoute de ses hôtes avec une petite gourmandise de la région à notre arrivée. Merci à jean Michel.

Entspannung pur

Tolles Haus, nichts hat gefehlt. Super hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Abschalten beim Chillen auf dem riesigen Grundstück, Aktion beim Paddel auf dem Lot direkt vor dem Haus, Genießen der Natur, der historischen Altstadt und in den leckeren Restaurants Alexandre und Lion d' Or. Alles für den täglichen Bedarf im Nachbarort - Fünf Minuten mit dem Auto oder 15 Minuten mit dem Rad.

Séjour en famille idéal

Propriété bien située au coeur du très joli village de Sainte Eulalie d'Olt, en bordure du Lot, bien équipée, avec de nombreux équipements de loisirs (piscine, vélos, canoés, ping pong, vaste jardin clos). Bref, idéal pour d'excellentes vacances en famille.

Parfait!!

Excellent séjour, tout est conforme au descriptif (tant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur)et l’accueil de Mr Artero est chaleureux. Profiter de la piscine sans aucun vis à vis avec le Lot au bout du terrain et la vue sur les montagnes autour c’est magnifique !! On reviendra.
