The house is very nice and well situated, near to town centre but nice and quiet. Beautiful old house with loads of space, nice garden and very well kitted out. Would highly recommend.

A pleasant experience

A property nearby to restaurants, the property was clean and tidy, the owner was pleasant and responded quickly and was helpful with suggestions of restaurants to choose The downside (though I’m sure it’s temporary) was that the property opposite was being renovated and therefore builders were working from 7.30 am throughout the day

Beautiful gite

Beautiful traditional french country house and lovely owner. Upstairs en-suite has shower and basin but no toilet, so just one toilet upstairs and one downstairs. No problem for us. Lovely live-in kitchen and safe secure garden. Perfectly located for a short walk into Saint Emilion. On holiday with three young children - they loved the place. (We moved a few breakable ornaments on our arrival just in case and were mindful of them on the stunning but steep (for children and mildly inebriated grown-ups) staircase). Great place: especially for wine tasting!

Wonderful holiday house

We had an amazing time staying at this well equipped house and enjoyed relaxing in the very pretty garden. It was great being in the town and able to walk out to the many restaurants. Also a great base for exploring the area. Our host Isabelle was delightful and helpful in letting us know about local events. Can highly recommend this house.

Bright, roomy accommodation perfectly positioned

We had a fabulous time in Isabelle's lovely home. The rooms were bright and airy and the furnishings were very comfortable although we're used to having larger beds. The kitchen was well equipped and it was handy to be able to park outside the property. The position of the house, on the edge of the village, was perfect as you had all the benefits of being right by the restaurants, shops and sights but without any inconvenience of crowds or noise. It was lovely to be able to sit in the garden with a drink in the evening and we felt very safe. Communication with Isabelle was excellent and she was very accommodating. The house was immaculately clean. The set up with the shower attached to one of the bedrooms might not suit all combinations of guests, but there was a bath downstairs with a shower over it. All in all, highly recommended. Thanks for a lovely stay Isabelle

Beautiful

Everything about the gite was lovely ... the facilities and location, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner (Isabelle) were all wonderful. Only a 10 minute stroll to the central restaurants and bars means that one can be very relaxed. Access to the surrounding countryside, on foot, by bike or car, is simple.

Excellent

A big house, well finished and equipped, with a big secure garden for children, a quarter of a mile for bread and provisions, and the same distance to St Emilion cafes and restaurants. Only downside was how expensive - overpriced - St Emilion is in general. But nice interesting countryside and the town is very attractive indeed. Isabelle is a lovely lady who took pains to ensure we had everything we wanted for our two week stay.

A LOVELY PROPERTY

WE ENJOYED OUR FEW DAYS AT THE PROPERTY. IT WAS IN A BEAUTIFUL CONDITION. THE OWNER WHO MET US EVEN THOUGH WE ARRIVED QUITE LATE,WAS CHARMING AND HELPFUL. BECAUSE OUR STAY WAS IN FEBRUARY,WE NEEDED HEATING AT 10 EUROS PER DAY.IF WE WOULD HAVE REQUIRED THE CLEANING SERVICE,IT WOULD HAVE BEEN 60 EUROS. ST EMILION IS BEAUTIFUL AND A GOOD BASE TO EXPLORE.

The house is quaint and beautiful, located on a quiet side street making it private yet walkable to the center of Saint Emilion. Isabelle was wonderful. We will plan to stay again.

Beautiful Gite in a Great Location

The house is large and beautifully maintained. It is in a perfect location in St. Emilion and was a good place to be a springboard for travel around the vineyards in the area. The house was very tastefully decorated. There was a nice outside sitting area. There are two large bedrooms upstairs. One has a shower and sink in the bedroom. Between the two bedrooms is a toilet room. There is a full bathroom with toilet and shower downstairs. The placement of the bathrooms made sharing them a bit awkward with figuring out which to use. A toilet in the bedroom shower room would really help. The owner initially seemed abrupt (she showed some irritability with me not understanding how to work the shutters). There were a number of rules to follow (not walking on the carpeting with shoes, the shutters) that seemed overwhelming and made us quite cautious throughout the time of our stay. Aside from that I would still heartily recommend the Gite and the owner was very nice when we checked out.

St Emilion at your doorstep

Isabelle’s home is in the in the absolute perfect location to explore the numerous wineries in the St Emilion village. She was awaiting our arrival, gave perfect direction on the layout and then even walked one of our family members into the village to show the location for our reservation for dinner that evening. I want to go back now! Thank you, Isabelle! We will come back.

Beautiful home in the vineyards

If you are looking for a great home close to all St Emilion has to offer, this home is it. You open the gate to a big gravel area for your car bordered by a large grass lawn complete with many loungers. The house is lovely with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge on the main floor. Roomy bedrooms (3) are upstairs. There are two bathrooms one up and a large one downstairs. We really enjoyed our stay there. You are a 5 minute walk to the centre of town with its many restaurants and wine stores. To be enjoyed.
