This house was perfect for two families to stay in for the week. The garden is enormous so plenty of room for kids to run off their energy. The house itself was comfortable and clean. The location is relatively remote being accessed down single track lanes, which meant it was very peaceful, but still only 10 minutes from a shop. We were still generally within 30 minutes of the places we wanted to visit. The Indian takeaway in Poringland was excellent too!
The house was lovely, spacious and clean. Good location for all amenities in a quite location with
Very easy to book and happy with the house. The house was big enough for 11 guests with plenty of space. Kim was helpful and quick to reply to our questions.
Our overall impression of Pond Cottage was that it was comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen had plenty of crockery and cutlery though there wasn't a teapot, as tea drinkers we found this an inconvenience.
The big garden was great for the children and they loved the trampolines. We didn't let them use the play house as it appeared to need a lot of repair.
The children enjoyed the playroom and toys but we felt the external door was a security risk as one of the bolts was off due to rot at the bottom of the door.
The lounge was large and comfortable but with only one L- shaped settee another easy chair or two would have made relaxing less crowded. There were two slits in the carpet and some splashes on the wall near the left hand radiator.
The key to the front door was rather difficulty to operate.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday at Pond Cottage and would go again.
