ABOUT THE APARTMENT

You get nearly 105 square meters of space to yourselves in this classically furnished lower ground floor 2 bedroom apartment. It’s a home-from-home with wide hallways, real wooden floors, more than its fair share of storage space and a traditional look and feel that will appeal to a wide range of tastes. Let’s take a look around:

LIVING ROOM / DINING ROOM

First on the right by the entrance to the house, here’s a room that’s traditionally furnished with all the comforts of home. Find a sofa and two armchairs here, arranged around a large coffee table with good views of the apartment’s television. Handmade shelves play host to an array of books you’re welcome to read during your stay. Also in here, the dining table and chairs with room for everyone to gather, perhaps to celebrate a special occasion with a delicious meal. You can also use the table for work and/or games of course.

PATIO GARDEN

You have direct access from the living area to the apartment’s patio garden. It’s an enclosed space that’s great to escape to with places to sit and enjoy some peace and quiet. The patio extends for almost the entire length of the house and also gives you direct access to:

THE MASTER BEDROOM

This features a zip and link bed which can be arranged as a double or 2 singles. Just let us know your preference ahead of your stay. It’s a room with plenty of integrated wardrobe (closet) space for your bags, clothes and belongings. You also have direct access to an ENSUITE BATHROOM with a tub with shower over, WC and wash basin.

THE SECOND BEDROOM

This is located at the far end of the house and features a double bed with a window overlooking the patio, giving you a very pleasant view to wake up to every morning.

THE MAIN BATHROOM

Situated outside the double bedroom, the main bathroom features a tub with shower over, wash basin and WC, just like the ensuite. Towels for guests to use will be provided in both bathrooms.

THE KITCHEN

It’s right next to the front door, so if you’ve just been shopping, you won’t have far to carry your bags and get your favourite food into the fridge, freezer and kitchen cabinets. You’ll also see high quality appliances and countertops in here, plus all the cutlery and cookware you’ll need to self-cater during your stay in London.

UTILITY ROOM

Tucked away, this room features a washer/dryer you can use to keep your clothes clean during your stay. So there’s no need to worry about where the nearest launderette is.

OUTSIDE SPACE

As well as your private patio garden, staying here also gives you shared use of communal gardens in the area, another great place to kick back in the sun or shade and relax.

THE LOCAL AREA

Lexham Gardens is located just off the Cromwell Road, an area that brings plenty of the capital's attractions within easy reach.

There is a Wholefoods supermarket just a short walk away, so it will be quick and easy for you to stock-up on those essentials (and those treats) you need for your stay. You’ll also find other shops and coffee shops in the area, so do explore if you have time.

Being so close to central London, you have plenty of big attractions on your doorstep, including:

The V&A

Chelsea - The King's Road

Kensington Olympia

The Science Museum

The Natural History Museum

Kensington Gardens for the Diana Memorial Fountain

Hyde Park for Winter Wonderland and summer concerts and events.

High Street Kensington

South Kensington

Holland Park – you might catch an operatic performance if you’re staying here during the summer months.

Cromwell Hospital is also very near the apartment, so if you want easy access to the hospital, perhaps to visit a friend or relative who’s having treatment there, this is the ideal place to stay.

GETTING AROUND

Staying here gives you a wealth of transport options to choose from. There are several London Underground stations nearby - Gloucester Road being the nearest, but there’s also High Street Kensington. Trains from these stations will connect you with all areas of London, including the West End, Theatreland, The City and Canary Wharf.

If you prefer staying above ground, aside from walking or cycling, you can hire cabs, order Ubers via their app, or catch the red buses that serve this area of London.

Lovely home at the perfect location.

From Nick's communication through check-in and check-out it was wonderful. The property was exactly what we needed. Near the museums and parks and underground, but away from the madness of central London. Also had a washer/dryer that made life much simpler for our duration. Local shops and restaurants catered to local residents, rather than tourists, so we were never rushed, had good prices, and we felt very much at home. Will definitely see if it's available for our next London trip.

Very comfortable and great location

My family of four stayed in this lovely two bedroom, two bathroom flat a few blocks away from Earls Court station. It was perfect for our family! We have twin 16 year old sons who took advantage of the fact the master bedroom king-size bed unzips into twin beds. The flat is very well maintained and equipped with all the essentials. When we had a slight issue with the hallway lighting, it was taken care of by the property manager immediately. Additionally, I should add the property manager was also quite helpful in assisting us with directions to the flat using the underground from Heathrow airport. Earls Court station has underground service for both the Piccadilly and District lines which makes getting around London to see tourist attractions very easy. We also thoroughly enjoyed several of the restaurants located on Earls Court Road, Masala Zone (Indian), Franco Manca (pizza) to name a few. I would book this flat again in a heartbeat if my family and I are fortunate enough to return to London.

Superb location, great flat

Loved the flat and was nice and cool with hot weather. Had all the amenities we needed as we were a family of four needed washing machine etc. Linen and towels all also provided to high standard. Location is superb halfway between Kensington high street for shops and the two parks and also Earls Court for restaurants. Only small downside was we needed to clear/clean terrace area before using.

Wonderful stay in a perfect location

Perfect location for a London holiday. My healthy 80 yr old parents accompanied my husband and I on this trip so it was wonderful to have a comfortable flat (vs. hotel) to return to for mid-day naps, early evenings or late mornings. We really enjoyed our accommodations. The flat was down from the street level so was easy to access for my parents. We found the beds very comfortable and the sitting area perfect for sitting down to watch the news, reading a book or just conversing. We took advantage of the restaurants surrounding Earl's Court - Wagamama, Youme sushi, Gourmet burgers, the pub for fish and chips and others but also used the kitchen for making meals as well. Holland's Park was a wonderful find just a couple of blocks on Kensington High Street- right across the street from our favorite grocery store. We loved using the tube and primarily used the Earl's Court station to get us around town. We were able to get to so many 'major sites' as well as the Chelsea Flower show quite easily. Nick provided good customer service by contacting us prior to the trip and confirming who would meet us for our early check in, etc. This was my first time using Home Away so I used the app to locate the property when arriving by train&tube. It didn't get me to the property but luckily our greeter Judy did! I had her number and had to call her to find the correct location but it was my fault for not asking for specific directions to the flat via the tube OR for not taking a taxi. We had a medical issue so had to access the NHS and found it so wonderfully helpful and good to us foreigners. I would definitely stay here again and do recommend this flat.

Great Low-Key Flat In London

We stayed in this London flat in April 2025.The flat is in the basement of the building and not on the actual ground/street level as could be construed from the description you will have to navigate steps down with your bags. The kitchen, baths, flooring, and lighting appear to be updated although some of the lights and light switches were broken. WIFI worked well except in the far corners of the farthest bedroom. The washer/dryer works really well and very intuitive to use. The television also worked well and was connected to cable (I think) because we didn’t have any issues watching it during down times in our holiday.Things to be aware of:1) The hallway lights are finnicky and if they do not turn on properly, they do flash/flicker at a rate that would be concerning to those with seizures. 2) We noticed that there is a lot more mildew/mold in the showers/tubs than should be. The owners should replace the caulking annually or twice annually if it is being used a lot. Maybe the cleaners can do something to mitigate the issue. It gives the appearance that the tubs aren't clean. Additionally, the hallway bath's sink drain is broken and leaks into the drawer below it. 3) There is a minor leak in the bedroom with the queen size bed on the ceiling, and one in the common living/dining room above the French doors. These leaks aren't dripping water but are highly noticeable.-----Overall we loved our stay and would recommend this unit to others.

Great Flat for a London vacation

This is a great flat for a visit to London. It is in a very nice neighborhood, with lots of restaurants, pubs and grocery stores. A tube station a few blocks away. A longer walk, or quick cab/Uber ride away is a much more commerical shopping district. The communication with the owner was so good. Nick was proactive and responsive when we had questions. I would definitely recommend this property.

All about location!

This flat was very comfortable for our American family of three (two adults, one teen) for a week-long stay. Plenty of space for us to spread out and make ourselves at home at a fair price. The location was a short walk away from Earl's Court underground station with lots of dining and quick shopping options nearby. We had no issues while we were there, but the manager, Nick, was very responsive any time I messaged before we arrived and when we left. He arranged for a local greeter to meet us at the flat in order to give us the keys and a quick welcoming tour. This kindness was very much appreciated after a long day of travel stress. My family would definitely stay again!

Week long London Getaway

We had a great stay in our Lexington Gardens Flat. We are a family of 4 (2 parents and my two teenage daughters). The flat was the perfect amount of space! The kitchen has all Bosh appliances and was very easy to use. We ate out about 1-2 meals a day, so we always had at least one meal in the flat. The dining table in family room sat 6 people so it allowed us to have family meals or plays games! Having 2 full bathrooms was very important with teenage girls! The house was very clean and had hairdryers, extra fans, towels, and toilet paper for us, upon arrival. The location is lovely! Earls court Tube station and grocery stores are just a very short walk to your left! To your right, is the quiet and beautiful Lexington Gardens neighborhood with some really great restaurants!! It was very easy for us to use the tube from Earls Court to everywhere! Just a 3 block walk! Though the flat was quite spacious, the family room does photograph larger than it it is in person. Also, the flat was extremely clean, but it is an older building so there was some impact of that at the patio doors and windows. None of this affected our stay and we would definitely book there again!

A magical stay in London!

What a gorgeous flat! There was so much space for the 4 of us to spread out and relax. Wonderful to have two full bathrooms for getting ready in the morning. The washer/dryer was a huge bonus as we could have everything clean for the next leg of our adventure. A quick walk to the Underground made getting around very easy. We will be back!

Garden apartment is a stretched.

This property has had some water damage in the previous months and needed it repaired along with the musty, mildew and mold odor in the two bedrooms. Owners need to lock up their personal property and not leave condoms laying around for kids to find. Refrigerator needed to be defrosted and the stench odor gotten rid of (a big box of baking soda would do the trick). All our food smelled because the refridge need a good clean with baking soda. Cobwebs everywhere and bathrooms dirty. Overall could not recommend this place.
