About this property

APARTMENT WITH STUNNING SEA VIEWS IN PITTENWEEM NEAR ST ANDREWS

Cormora offers well equipped quality contemporary holiday accommodation in a traditional building. The apartment is all on one level and has stunning sea views including the Isle of May and Pittenweem Harbour. It is 50m from the picturesque harbour and next to the Fife Coastal Path with beaches, bar, restaurants and a golf course all within 500metres.

Cormora is beautifully decorated and provides a spacious lounge with dining area, a separate kitchen, a large double bedroom with built in wardrobe and a bathroom. There is a private patio with glazed screen revealing stunning sea views over the Firth of Forth, while on the foreground rocks groups of various seabirds gather at low tide.

Garden seats, a table and a BBQ are provided for those long warm summer evenings. Treat yourself to a relaxing glass of wine while taking in the amazing vista.

Pittenweem is a charming historic fishing village with a picturesque harbour area. The harbour is the most active of all the East Neuk fishing ports and is a lively and vibrant place at any time of day and any time of year. The fish market is conducted in the harbour sheds every morning and makes interesting viewing.

Around the harbour and all along the foreshore and beach area is the jumble of crow step gabled and pan tiled houses, many with quaint outside stairs.

The High Street is connected to the harbour and foreshore via intimate alleys and lanes, one of which passes St Fillans cave, the key for which is locally available. The High Street has a variety of shops, cafes and art galleries,

Pitenweem is famous for its Art Festival which takes place during the first week of August each year.

Time to Breathe

From the moment we arrived at the property it almost felt like we had “come home” once again - having stayed there last year too. Everything you could possibly need to just shut the door, kick off your shoes……and breathe is already there. Ideally situated just up from the harbour, if you venture forth in the same direction and follow the coastal path you come upon St Monans where a welcome tea or coffee awaits you in the little cafe nearby. If, when leaving the flat, you choose the other direction, once again following the coastal path, you come beautiful Anstruther, famous for its fish and chips, and, for us, it’s lifeboat! Our stay in Pittenweem has become a must and in the years ahead we hope to revisit it time and time again. Definitely a 5 star rating for the accommodation and for its ideal position!

Fabulous house, amazing views

We try and visit this property once a year. It is so cosy, warm and welcoming. The view from the terrace is stunning. I could stand there all day looking and listening to the sea. Well equipped with everything you need. The toiletries in the bathroom smell awesome. Wish I knew where they’re from as I’d love them in my bathroom. The walk in shower is a great too. We will be back next year. Thanks Joyce.

Comfortable view of the sea

What a great location and a superb view out to sea from the patio and the well stocked kitchen - everything we needed. Bed was comfortable and the shower room was great - though it could have been a little more powerful. Comms and directions from Joyce were excellent and she responded very promptly to resovle a minor issue with the oven. Parking was a slight challenge as we didn't always find a space outside and there was some construction work around the harbour (reducing spaces) but we were never further than a short walk away. A great location to explore the Fife coastline the flat was warm, cosy comfortable and a great place to relax after a day's walking. Recommend staying here
