Perfect property for our annual family, friends and dog walking weekend. Everything we needed within the property and locally and plenty of space for us all.
We (family of four) had a comfortable stay in this house. The kitchen seems quite new and modern. The location is near the center of the town where you find shops and places to eat, we’d recommend the Indian place. From this house we made several trips to the lakes which are beautiful.
The property was very clean, though a little dated in decor. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking equipment and the location was lovely - with great views. :)
Within a 30 minute drive to the Lakes and great hiking, you have a large space for a big family with a short walk to the grocery store and nice neighborhood.
Had a great stay at this lovely house, everything was there that was needed, large property with plenty of space, and a small enclosed backyard for our dog which was perfect. It is situated opposite the train station (not noisy), and only a ten minute walk into the small town. Lovely quaint village with shops pubs restaurants, would definately return. Thank you
Appleby is a lovely place the house in our eyes probably needs updating, that said it served its purpose as we were hardly there(wedding) and everybody’s tastes are different and the house had everything we needed for a sensible price.

Pete's house was a comfortable house from which to explore the local area.
The house was entirely appropriate for our needs as a family. A well stocked kitchen with all pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses and serving dishes that you would need.
Thank you!
From booking through to check out the process was fantastic. Pete is an amazing host and was so helpful, the house is spotlessly clean and has all the mod cons but so much charm. Lots of space for the family and still so cosy.
We found the property very welcoming, clean and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. Well placed for exploring the pennies, lakes and the dales. Would definitely recommend it 😃😃
So close to the town centre, river and all the amenities. Opposite the train station where we were lucky enough to see The Flying Scotsman. The accommodation was great for our family as there was plenty of space and the yard was great for our dog.
All good, everything worked! High standard of kitchen utensils, WiFi BT vision recorder and v comfortable king size bed. Plenty of room. Central heating works well. No negative comments.
Pete was a fantastic communicator; no request was too small for him. Accommodation was very spacious, though it was a little outdated. Smelled a little musty and needed a good airing out. Otherwise, a great place in a great location!
Perfect location, Pete stayed in contact at all times before the trip and was on hand for information during our trip, house was lovely and cosy, are looking to book again next year was a perfect break.
