Set in the heart of glorious Cornish countryside, Pekin Cottage is one of three cottages nestled in peaceful and tranquil surrounds, allowing guests to escape from busy lives. The cottage is located within half an hour of so many fabulous beaches and attractions. The beautiful upstairs bedroom has wooden floors, exposed beams, stone walls and oak furniture. The living area has shaker-style kitchen and stable-doors which can be flung open to enjoy the sunny courtyard. We have an EV charging point available by prior arrangement which provides a convenient and cost effective way to charge your electric vehicle. Details available on request.

What a beautiful place to stay! Peaceful, lovely views, good location to visit many areas of interest. The friendly donkeys and goats are a bonus for animal lovers and the noisy pigs are fun to feed. Our stay was enjoyable as the cottage has a well equipped kitchen with a cream tea on arrival and tea coffee etc so you can have a brew. Comfy, cosy bed with a wonderful view over fields. Hosts Charmion and Charles are superb! Friendly knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. We would highly recommend a stay here. Our

Peaceful

What a lovely place to stay. We stayed in the cottage for 2 beautiful kitchen and sitting room with everything you need tv with dvd player ( great for those rainy days selection of dvd there) kitchen has everything you even a dishwasher and washing machine. Lovely courtyard and picnic area it is shared but with only 3 cottage there you still get your own privacy. Bedroom is beautiful with stone walls and beams. It use to be the old stables. And of course the pigs donkey's and goats are great fun the owners leave food for them so if you like to feed them. Charmion and charles the owners live on site and are very welcoming and always on hand if you need them but are very respectful of your privacy. We look are harley davidson down and were able to park it right out side the cottage which my husband was very pleased with but there is ample of parking. It is very quite there and the nearest shop is 6 miles away so good idea to get in the basics , you know like alcohol 😄 and sit in the courtyard and enjoy 🍹. What a lovely peaceful relaxing place will definitely be going back. Thank you charmion and charles you have a beautiful place.

Fantastic accommodation in a lovely rural area. Property is immaculate and a fantastic traditional building. Owner seemed very friendly when we met her briefly. Couldn’t have been happier.

Top notch peaceful stay.

Beautiful, well equipped cottage in a very peaceful location. It was a lovely touch to be left milk and a cream tea (scones, clotted cream & jam). Charles has just had an electric vehicle charger installed so it removed a tonne of stress for us to be able to charge my car whilst at the cottage. Overall, a fantastic stay. I cannot think of an area of improvement.

Pekin Cottage

A beautifully converted barn in a very peaceful/private location. High quality comfortable bedding, an abundance of hot water, delicious home made scones with clotted cream on arrival. Friendly, welcoming hosts.

Lovely one bedroom barn conversion

We enjoyed staying at the property which was ideally placed for travel to both coasts in north Cornwall although the first few miles can be challenging if you're not used to narrow lanes/roads. Property itself was well maintained and well equipped for our needs and if we returned to this area of Cornwall we'd consider it again

Nice, relaxing cottage

Very clean, comfortable, well-equipped cottage, traditional style with mod cons. Loved Ponk and Donk and the goats. The cottage is well located for North and South touristy stuff but the very narrow lanes are not for the faint-hearted. The wifi is quite slow but it won't spoil your stay when you come back to your calm retreat for a nice cold one from the fridge !

Location is inland and quiet but not only 12 miles from Padstow and Newquay

Cottage lovely clean and comfortable ideal quiet location but easy to travel out to many locations very welcoming and would 100% recommend will definitely be going back

Lovely break

Lovely stay in a beautiful peaceful location. Beautifully presented and well equipped property and a very informative and useful pack within the property from the owners. We used the property merely to sleep and a base to explore and for me the property offered excellent value for money and would absolutely stay here again! (My only suggestion would be to improve outdoor area and seating to better enjoy the location) Overall a lovely place to stay and would recommend. Thanks guys x

Lovely stay

Very clean, very quiet location. Wasn't too hard to find. Cottage was lovely. Scones on arrival were delicious, and had all the essentials left for us which was very handy. The WiFi wasn't the best and we had no phone signal but we worked around that. Would stay again.

Nicely finished rural retreat

We stayed during the hottest week of the year and it was warm! Nicely finished, most of what we needed, and comfortable bed. We downloaded films in anticipation of slower rural broadband but generally the internet wasn’t a problem for us. Plenty of space for parking, no garden but saw the families from the neighbouring two cottages using the barbecues, and the courtyard setting as peaceful.

Clean and Comfortable

Gorgeous house. Love the spacious ceiling upstairs and the window on the roof. Bathroom has a charming modern layout and the shower was lovely and hot. Kitchen had all the appliances needed to help make all sorts of delicious food. Being so far away from busy roads it was so strange but welcoming to hear nothing but the occasional owl or sheep. Wildlife population is high, particularly with Swallows soaring about in the sky. The managers allowed us to feed their animals which was amazing. Goats were my favourite. Only tiny criticism I have is the bed mattress was too hard but we still managed to get good night sleep after a few a while. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely Cottage

Pekin Cottage is beautifully converted and we had a lovely stay. It is in deepest Cornwall with patchy wi-fi but that made it even more relaxing as we couldn't check our emails all the time!

Perfect Stay

We had a lovely few nights here. A beautiful base to explore Cornwall. Charmion was very accommodating and was there if we needed. The place was spotless when we arrived and the bed was so very comfy. Would definitely return.

Requested mattress topper as bed felt much harder than what we are used to. Proprietor responded same day by providing brand new one! No questions, just acted upon requested. Well impressed!!
