Location for us was great. The complex is lovely, the upkeep is great.
The apartment has everything you need and so near the pool.
The only downside are the beds, bed linen and towels which do need attention

Beautiful little house in the most stunning location
Juliet’s House is simply beautiful. An old Swiss Chalet in an amazingly beautiful location. All the rooms are spacious enough for 3/4 people, although the house can sleep 6/8 - one bedroom located outside and under the house. And the house has low ceilings - if you are tall this is something to note. We enjoyed spending time in the garden admiring the scenery and stars at night. Waterfall chalet was a beautiful place to stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in a traditional Swiss chalet. Contact with Juliet was great, she was always quick to reply and we never had any issues trying to get a hold of her. Before we booked we had asked if dogs were allowed to stay there, as we were travelling from Scotland with our two golden retrievers. We were told that they could, and there is an enclosed garden for them to run around. This was a bonus for us as we could sit in the garden and let the dogs play in the garden without worry (although the fence is small so if your dog is a jumper then you would need to keep an eye on them) The only points I have to note is that the booklet in the house needs updated to provide more accurate information on some of the activities. The living room could be a little cosier - with table lamps and another couch, as if you have 6/8 people staying there isn’t enough room for everyone. But overall it was a lovely stay and we really enjoyed staying here and our time in Lauterbrunnen
Wonderfully well equipped and spotlessly clean chalet provided the perfect base for our family to explore the Jungfrau region. Very helpful and understanding Host. Had a perfect holiday in beautiful Switzerland.

Fabulous property in breathtaking location
Week with family. Mix of activities (cycling, walking and use of the local swimming pool in addition to sightseeing). Property was an ideal base within walking distance of Lauterbrunnen (40 minutes) also benefiting from bus stop nearby and a very regular service. Garden good for relaxing plus outdoor games (and drying washing). Sociable dining space in the kitchen especially welcome but beware the low ceilings if over 6 foot tall.

Perfect
We had a great three days in this beautiful chalet in one of the most picturesque villages in Switzerland with absolutely mesmerising views from all sides. Just a short walk to the magnificent Trümmelbach waterfalls, local bus stop to Lauterbrunnen, convinient food store and the 24/7 fresh milk dispenser.
The house has evrything you need and more. Very clean and comfortable. The host welcomed us with a bottle of wine and a fine piece of crystal from nearby mountains which we shall keep as a lovely souvenir.
Thinking of going back during winter now.

Amazing stay!
I'll start with the chalet.
Really well equipped and perfect for our long weekend.
Such a beautiful property which is very close to Trummelbach Falls.
The location is simply amazing.
Down in a valley with mountains rising up all around, gentle streams, waterfalls and glorious flower meadows.
It is the perfect base for exploring Lauterbrunnen, Interlaken and surrounding area.
Access to so many local activities and adventures.
Just perfect!

Fabulous location
We spent 10 days in Waterfall Chalet and it was glorious! The chalet itself is quite small but had everything we needed and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The location is incredible - I don't think I could ever get fed up with waking up to that view. it was great to have our own garden and to be so close to Trummelbach Falls and the cable car up to Murren and Gimmelwald. It was also easy to walk from the chalet along the river and into the forest, which we did regularly.
Juliet was unbelievably helpful throughout, even got us a toaster when we struggled to make the grill work.
The only thing we slightly struggled with was the electrics. The hairdryer tripped the electricity everywhere bar the bathroom (which was fine but it took a few days to work this out). We found the oven and grill didn't get hot enough to use. And we couldn't get the DVD player to work until right at the end of the week. Probably this is all part and parcel of a stay in a chalet in the middle of nowhere but it was a bit frustrating at times. That said, it didn't spoil our holiday and we had a brilliant time.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone with kids - it was ideal!

Wonderful waterfall chalet!
We loved the chalet. It was spotless and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the linens fresh. The location was fantastic....really close to Trummelbach falls (walking distance) and an easy bus ride into town for groceries, etc. Absolutely beautiful area! We would highly recommend staying at this chalet and hope to visit again!

Spectacular! A vacation to remember
Juliet was lovely to converse with. She is prompt, helpful and very accommodating. The Waterfall Chalet is so beautiful; my family really love it there. We love the surroundings and the views. The area is also very peaceful. The house itself is cosy and spacious enough for 5 adults and a baby. It is convenient to get to and we didn't have any problems getting to it as Juliet's directions were clear with pictures. If we were to come back to Switzerland, this will definitely be our first choice of stay.
Thank you Juliet for your warm hospitality, we appreciate it so much!
The house and property exceeded our expectations. The Swiss look and feel was perfect. We were constantly amazed with the views. And the sound of the nearby T falls were awesome. We wish the Falls were open for a hike but they were closed for the winter season. The house was 5 minute walk to the bus station. Check with locals if the bus fare is free during non peak season. The house provided everything we needed and the shower was great. If tall, be careful. Ceilings were about 6 feet in many places. Bus schedule and cable car system were very regular so it was easy to travel. Laundry room was very useful to us. Check with locals on condition of nearby hiking trails during off season. We were unable to do the Northface trail due to snow (in early April). All in all, our experience was fantastic and I highly recommend!!!
We had such a good time staying here. Everything was great. We had fun pointing it out while going through the falls. Beware if you're tall because youbwill hit your head and the shower room is very low ceiling. It's completely manageable though so doesnt take away from the experience!
Beides sollte man vorher wissen.
The property is at a stunning location in Lauterbrunnen valley.Juliet and Lina are amazing hostesses with excellent communication and are very friendly and lovely ladies.
Property was best suited to our group with 5 adults and two teen age children.
The property has all the amenities and plenty of utensils for use.Name anything which was not there.
Very comfy and clean rooms.Smart TV had even Netflix.Wifi was fast n problem less.
Unfortunately we could not use the basement and cellar due to local flooding and electrical hazard but owners tried their best to help us and hats off to local firefighters who worked day and night to make the property safe.
Juliet refunded half of the amount as a nice gesture to compensate for the trouble due to flooding.
I will always recommend my other friends and family this property due to excellent location, friendly owners and best facilities provided.
5 stars for the owners Lina and Juliet.
But disappointed with "vrbo" and "fewo-direct" and will recommend to book property via other platforms. As vrbo and fewo has poor and slow response rate to sort complaints and trouble shooting. They did not even bother to ask once how was our stay after getting on to customer support a few times. If any other platforms which I used in the past would have booked the response would have been great.
The Waterfall Chalet is absolutely beautiful. The views can't be described as everywhere you look is more and more beautiful. Juliet was extremely helpful and wonderful to work with. I would definitely recommend staying at the Waterfall Chalet.
The view of the Lauterbrunnen valley is the most positive aspect of this chalet. The chalet is roomy. Lots of USB ports are available. The basics were provided in the kitchen. Washer and dryer were located in the basement and worked great. The outside patio was delightful.
The chalet is not located in downtown Lauterbrunnen but quite a ways out of town. Thus, the chalet is quiet and very peaceful. The ceilings are very low and my 5’11 husband was constantly ducking. There is no bathroom upstairs where the bedrooms are located. If you have mobility issues, the steep stairs will be an issue.
I would classify this chalet as rustic with an incredible view of waterfalls and the valley.
The backyard view is spectacular. Neighborhood is very quiet. The Chalet is smaller than we imagined. Chalet is very clean and the host is very thoughtful with information and materials provided.
This home was the perfect place for our family to stay to see the absolutely gorgeous Jungfrau Region. We are a family with 5 young children plus my 80-year old uncle. My uncle stayed in the basement bedroom, which worked out well despite needing to go down the stairs outside to access his room, which he said was cozy. The rest of us stayed upstairs, with 4 kids in the big room and the parents plus baby in the small room. It's not a large home, but had plenty of space for us. The ceilings are low, but the views and the backyard made up for it and more. The kids loved the swing and the little creek running along. Trummelbach falls empty within sight of the house. We used the free bus every day to go to Lauterbrunnen to catch the train or funicular to reach all of the nearby villages. It's a stunning region with so much to do in every season, and we would love to go back. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals, and the fondue pot was a fun treat one night. This home is a delight and the owners have thought of everything, plus special touches, to make it the perfect place to stay.
Just want to start by saying I do think this is a pretty perfect VRBO for families with a car wanting to explore the Bernese Oberland on the cable cars. And the setting is indeed gorgeous, even if the waterfalls weren't really flowing when we were there (mid March).
I booked this property with my husband and two couple-friends of ours. I was a little worried because we wouldn't have a car, but knowing there was a bus stop nearby eased my fears. It turns out that you really should have a car if you're going to stay here. While the bus does come every half hour in the morning, it becomes hourly after 8, and we often found ourselves killing time waiting for the next bus to take us home at night.
Additionally, while the layout makes sense for family, it would have been a little awkward with the way the beds are set up if our couple-friends had actually been able to make the trip (something came up). As it was, my husband and I did just fine, but I wanted to be honest in my review.
We had a lovely stay at the Waterfall Chalet. The space was very clean and well cared for and the view was incredible. If you are there on a clear night, don't forget to go outside and look at the stars - we could see the Milky Way clearly.
We had some trouble with the internet, but the host was very responsive and was able to fix the problem during our stay.
A few notes for families:
1) There are two adjoining bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The larger room has a double bed and a twin. The smaller room (which you pass through to get to the larger) has a double. There is no bathroom on the second floor and the stairs are quite steep so very young kids may need some help with the stairs.
2) The third bedroom is in the cellar and is accessed via the down a set of stairs outside of the house. It has 2 twin beds. This would probably be ideal for extra adults or teens (as opposed to young children) as it requires going into the house to use the bathroom as well.
3) The laundry room is also located in this area by a separate entrance. The washer and dryer are private and work great.
4) There is no bathtub and the shower entrance is very small so it could be challenging for larger body types or for parents attempting to assist younger kids. However, the shower head height is adjustable so younger kids can take a kid-height shower. :)
5) Kitchen was well-equipped with a microwave, oven/stove, European-style mini fridge (freezer is in the cellar in the laundry room)
We loved the little chalet as our base while staying in the Lauterbrunnen area. As other reviews say, yes the ceilings are very low, which added to the character of the chalet. We spent much our our time outside. The sun set early on the mountain so we got some shade early, which helped on the hot days since there’s no AC in the chalet.
Overall it was a great place to stay and the host was responsive when we needed things.
This property was something my family and I had been looking forward to since the moment we booked the property. The pictures on vrbo didn’t do it justice! We were able to see the Jungfraujoch region as well as 3 different waterfalls from the backyard! The house was in a nice and quiet neighborhood and super close to trummelbach falls! The house was perfect for my family of four and we will definitely be back to this property if we ever visit again!!
