My friends and I had a wonderful stay here. Beautiful garden, clean and comfortable interior, great spaces for socializing and cooking. Well equipped! Ample parking. Great position for exploring. Would love to come back again with my children as it has everything you need for little ones too.
Thanks for a lovely stay.
We had a lovely time. We were staying to visit Paultons park and it was a 7 minute drive away.
The cottage is spacious and well equipped. Beds were comfortable.
Would book again
My husband and I booked the cottage for a three night stay with our daughter, her husband and young boys. It was the perfect property in a great location. Lots to do in the surrounding area.

Beautifull Historic place to stay
This is the most well equipped cottage i have ever stayed at. In lovely decor and wonderful gardens. Centrally located. This classic historic building has all mod cons, very comfortable, would recommend staying here.
My family and I had a wonderful couple of nights here whilst we explored the new forest and the Dorset coast. Brilliantly stocked in the kitchen and beds were comfortable. Really pretty garden.
This property was perfect for a short getaway. There was plenty of space for us (5 adults and one baby) and we loved the cosy living room. The house was really clean and had everything we needed, and was a great location for nearby Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst. Everything about the stay was very straightforward - we would definitely use again.
The cottage is well located, you can reach most places within the New Forest in half an hour.
It is comfortably furnished throughout, the beds particularly so.
The rear garden is private and well planned.
In all, a nice place to stay.
Lovely quaint cottage. Great location lots of amenities. Well stocked. Kitchen diner brilliant. Very comfortable.
Easy access. Thanks for a lovely stay.
I stayed with my friend, her daughter and my two children for three nights. Right from the moment we arrived we were all delighted with this old thatched cottage with its low beams and barn-like door! The extension at the back makes it open and airy and the garden is simply beautiful. The kitchen is well-equipped and the extra shower and separate toilet are great if you're a bigger group. The shower pressure is strong and the beds are comfy. And there's a pub within walking distance. We loved our stay here in the heart of the New Forest, thank you!
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely Cottage very much. The garden is a dream which is really helping calming down. The free range eggs from the neighbour are very nice!
This was a great find. We had 4 adults and two young children. The cottage was large and had more than enough of inside and outside space. Everything needed for a great holiday.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. There was lots of amenities and extras to make us feel really welcome. We especially appreciated the toy cupboard with Duplo and books to keep our little ones busy.
The beds were really soft and comfortable. We didn't want to leave.

Holiday Home Near New Forest
Nice Cottage, with everything provided. Well located, and on one of the better prices for such objects around the New Forest. Cleanliness slightly let the place down.
The cottage was a lovely place to stay for a couple of nights. We stayed during the super hot time in July. This extreme weather temperature was a struggle for us, especially in the kitchen/conservatory area and at night, but the cottage was comfy otherwise.
Period cottage easily accessible for long distance travellers
The cottage lives up to its period look with various features such as low beamed ceilings and a quirky layout. The modern kitchen with conservatory and family area was lovely and bright, and the garden a delight to sit in for our morning coffee. One main bathroom & a utility room containing a shower room was fine, but the 2nd toilet was as far from the bedrooms as it could possibly be, tucked away downstairs accessible via a storeroom. We are 5 female friends in our 50s and thoroughly enjoyed our stay with cosy evenings at home accompanied by hearty homemade food and a glass or 3 of good wine.

An absolutely stunning cottage in a beautiful location
'Little thatch' is the most beautiful cottage that we have ever stayed in. Very well equipped with a picture perfect long garden, we will definitely be returning next year. It is a home from home with every detail thought of. The owner describes it as their home and it certainly feels that way. Our twins loved playing with different toys! Located on the northern edge of The New Forest, it is in easy reach of all the attractions of the forest and a short drive from amazing beaches on the coast. Spacious and picture perfect, a stay at 'little thatch' will not disappoint.
Did not match photographs on booking site. Property looked tired from the outside. Description of second bathroom downstairs misleading when in fact is shower plus basin in utility room and second toilet is in cupboard in lounge.
Wardrobes in front bedroom smelt musty.
Cleaning not to a great standard. Many cobwebs for example throughout property.
Garden needs maintenance although could be very nice with a little more tlc.
Some kitchen utensils need proper cleaning
Finally we had a maintenance man turn up unannounced and not requested to fix a tap. Although he was very nice and efficient if he had turned up whilst my wife was alone as she was on one afternoon this could have been intimidating.
On the plus side, heating and hot water always available
Bedding and beds excellent
Overall I feel that the property is vastly overpriced for what it is and feel more attention needs to be paid to its overall presentation

Disappointing
The property was a disappointment in that the main bedroom smelt of damp to the point clothes could not be hung in the wardrobes. The indoor & outdoor furniture had stains on them. the welcome folder was dirty to the point we didn't want to turn the pages. The neighbours had a party one night and the noise was awful, ive video'd it if you would like evidence. The morning after the party we had to clear up pizza that had been thrown over onto our patio. Disappointing that there was no welcome pack even a bottle of milk would have been helpful. Such a shame as the property has potential to be lovely, the garden itself was maintained well apart from the patio area which was covered in weeds and just overall not a very inviting property or comfortable stay for the amount of money paid.
Really enjoyed staying at this beautiful thatched cottage. Very well equipped.
Plenty of room for all six people in our party. Would highly recommend!

About the host
Hosted by Debbie
We see the cottage as our second home which we share with the guests who book to stay. We orignally bought it pre children so we could escape London at the weekends and enjoy the outdoors. We now have a 6 year old and 4 year old twins who also love the cottage and The Forest. This means the cottage is very suitable for families with children but also for grown ups.
Why they chose this property
We love the fact that the cottage has the character of an old thatched cottage with a light modern extension at the back. This means we have a cosy front room which we use in winter and the evenings, but a light living room next to the kitchen and the garden for summer and the day time.
We also love the garden and have changed it a lot since buying the cottage, adding fruit trees, roses and a raised decking area at the back to make the most of the views across the fields.
