This bright spacious detached family home, with lovely mature garden, large pool (13 x 6m) and stunning views.

As well as all the comforts and conveniences you would expect from a quality Tuscan holiday home there is also a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and BBQ and large lawn play area.

Sleeping 8 (+1) with its 2 double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and 2 single bedrooms. One of the single bedrooms has a pull out bed. There are also 3 bathrooms, one of which is en-suite with a spa bath.

This house is very well designed for comfort and relaxation and has a well equipped spacious kitchen, large lounge/dining room, further relaxing space and good sized bathrooms. There's comfortable furniture, polished wooden floors, excellent WI-FI internet access and table tennis.

The villa has a well- kept beautiful mature garden with different areas to saviour the stunning views. There are good sun loungers and outdoor furniture, an outdoor kitchen with a wood burning oven, BBQ, a 'cantina' style covered eating area with a little kitchen music system, and large gated pool with a paved solarium area which receives the sun all day. There is also a table tennis and table football.

Pool opens May 1st.

Perfect for families, there is a grass area with football goals and table tennis table.

The wi-fi is very good, reaching every room and outdoors.

It would also be perfect for a group of friends sharing a tranquil setting with truly lovely views and the wonderful garden space.

The location couldn’t be better with a 20 minute walk from a good restaurant, and less than a 10 minute drive into the market town of Castelnuovo, which has many restaurants and cafe bars, and an impressive variety of shops.

Garfagnana is 'Hidden Tuscany' at its best. With its' stunning scenery it is the best area in Tuscany for walking and outdoor activities. Friends of Tuscany are the oldest agency in the area, and we have close ties with an Outdoor Activities company who offer many international class adventures. We can also offer Art classes with a well known artist, excursions to the Cinque Terre, Florence and Lucca, visits to vineyards, historical guided tours and Italian cooking lessons.

A stay with friends

Our stay was great. The view is spectacular, We had some problem with the pool, everyone got an allergic reaction from the water. The Tv didn't work either. Half of the electric lights didnt work and the refrigerator was to small for 9 people, so we unfortunately needed to go to the marked everyday. But overall we had a great stay and the host was very nice😊

wir waren enttäuscht

Im haus war die Heizung deckt, bei 8 Grad kein schöner Aufenthalt. Die Schränke waren teilweise verschimmelt innen und viele Lampen waren defekt/ Kaputt. Das Geschirr im Schrank war teilweise schmutzig und der Holzkochlöffel verschimmelt. Das Wasser war lauwarm. Die Vermieterin teilte uns mit, dass nach unserem Urlaub, da Haus sowieso verkauft wird. Durch die Agentur bekamen wir schnell ein neues Ferienhaus.

Traumhafte Aussenanlage

Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen. Leider waren die Betten durchgelegen. Ein Schlafzimmer hat kein Fenster. Allerdings ist die Aussenanlage traumhaft. Der Pool ist toll und wird regelmäßig von der sehr netten Besitzerin gereinigt. Die Besitzerin hat uns bei Fragen immer sofort weiter geholfen.

Locatie met zwembad top, maar (huis) wel gedateerd, de twee-persoonskamers waren prima, daarentegen de eenpersoonsbedden/slaapkamers waren ondermaats, daarentegen goede service vanuit de hospice, het buitenverblijf was perfect.

Villa meravigliosa, spazi vivibili e attrezzati, camere strettine per 8 adulti

il nostro soggiorno a Villa Cavani è stato delizioso! abbiamo sfruttato la piscina , gli spazi esterni e la cucina. Purtroppo ci siamo dovuti adattare un pochino per le camere poichè la capienza dichiarata di 8 adulti è un po' eccessiva. (la camera "doppia" al piano di sopra è davvero piccolina per poterci stare in 2 con due letti. e una camera singola al piano terra è senza finestre. un po' angusta) la proprietaria ci ha fornito anche una culla e un seggiolone, indispensabili per il nostro bimbo. La cucina è fornitissima e la garfagnana è un posto incantevole. consigliatissimo per soggiorni rilassanti (max 6 adulti!) grazie Alessandra per i consigli e l'ospitalità

Nettes Haus mit super Pool in den Bergen

Schöne Lage in den Bergen. Super Pool mit Blick. Outdoorküche mit funktionierendem Pizzaofen und sehr nette Erklärung der Vermieter wie’s geht. Vermieter insgesamt super nett. Haus etwas In die Jahre gekommen, aber alles bestens. Küche gut eingerichtet. Für 9 Personen Bettensituation nicht ideal. Alles bis 8 Personen gut machbar.

Schönes Haus - Traumhafter Pool

Alles in allem ein schönes Haus, allerdings etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Außenanlagen traumhaft. Pool, Garten und Außenküche sind top. Die Lage ist sehr einsam und man braucht für alles ein Auto.

Toller Pool, tolle Lage

Wir haben eine sehr erholsame Woche in der Toskana verbracht. Die Vermieter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Anwesen ist gepflegt, der Pool wirklich schön. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Bäder sowie einige Möbel sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Der Gesamteindruck ist jedoch positiv. Im ersten Stock befinden sich zwei schöne Schlafzimmer (2 Doppelbetten), die weiteren Schlafzimmer (mit Bad im EG) sind eher nur bedingt zu empfehlen, wurden von uns jedoch auch nicht benötigt.

Great relaxation in a fabulous location

We had a fabulous three weeks at Villa Cavani. The location and views were stunning and we absolutely loved the pool (which was amazing), outside kitchen and outside eating area. We had great fun making our own pizzas and ate outside every evening. The villa was well equipped in the main (enough crockery for a party!)- although an electic kettle would have been great! Although there are five bedrooms there are only really three 'proper' rooms. Two fabulous doubles and a single upstairs. This does have a pull out bed but it doesn't really fit the room! Downstairs is a room with a sofa bed (very uncomfortable) and a single - when the sofa bed is out the room is totally full! The other room is very hot and not really for an adult. Probably the house is more suited for two families with young children rather than nine adults! The owner was lovely and although she didn't speak English her son did so we managed to be understand each other and even get the vet booked for our dogs. Trattoria Bonini, at the bottom of the hill was fabulous - great food, great value - we ate there four times. Also would recommend Vecchio Mulion in Castelnuovo - not a restaurant but deli with tastings! Overall, we had a great three weeks - an escape from UK in the middle of COVID. We loved the peace, the food, the wine, the walking, the swimming and views - Villa Cavani suited us well!

Nice location for larger groups

The location is very nice. We used the outdoor area very often, especially the pool. Our personal highlight was the outdoor kitchen where we could bake our own pizza. Unfortunately the jacuzzi didn‘t work properly (temperature regulation was broken). The landlord is a very nice person and tried to be as helpful as she can be in any situation.

Sehr schönes Objekt mit beeindruckender Aussicht

Das Haus ist wie hier beschrieben. Alle Haushaltsdinge sind in ausreichender Menge vorhanden. Der Grillplatz ist sehr großzügig und man kann nach Herzenslust backen und grillen. Der Pool ist sehr groß und man genießt eine sensationelle Aussicht. Zusätzlich ist ein Whirlpool vorhanden, der abends schön warm ist. Nicht zu vergessen der Essplatz, der Überdacht viel Platz bietet. Insgesamt macht alles einen sauberen und gepflegten Eindruck. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und die Übergaben haben problemlos funktioniert. Wir würden das Haus jederzeit wieder buchen und können es uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Nicht bezugsfertig und total verdreckt

Wir durften nach vorheriger Absprache gegen 10 Uhr anreisen,das wurde 4 Wochen vorher angegeben. Als wir ankamen waren Handwerker im Haus, es war eiskalt und dreckig überall. Die Außenanlagen waren absolut nicht auf Gäste eingestellt,geschweige von dem Pool und Whirlpool. Tote Kakerlaken begrüßten uns ,alles verwildert und nicht einladend. Die Bettdecken hatten diverse Flecken, im Bad war schwarzer Schimmel 😑 die Besitzerin sagte nur wir kommen ja früh....selbst um 16 Uhr wäre da nichts fertig...sry wenn 5 Wochen bzw 5 Monate vorher gebucht nicht ausreichen um ein Haus bewohnbar zu machen....Wir sind also nicht eingezogen...zwei Kinder in ein mit schimmelbefall versehendes Haus zu ziehen konnte ich nicht verantworten. Auch mein Hund wäre normal nicht erlaubt, was ich sehr komisch fand, da laut Buchung und Rezessionen Hunde erlaubt waren. Wir mussten dann fahren und haben in Hotels gewohnt...alle mitgebrachten frischen Speisen und Lebensmitteln mussten wir leider entsorgen dann...nie wieder !!

A magical location with a warm welcome

We arrived at short notice and the family made us feel welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. The facilities at the house were excellent: clean and generally well maintained. We especially enjoyed the outdoor room which meant we could eat outside every night. The local restaurant was amazing with outstanding food and service. They kindly arranged a taxi for us on our last night which let us sample even more of their excellent wines. There is a super fish restaurant near Conad in Castelnuovo as well as super places to eat ices and cakes in the town. , A great place to stay. We also want to thank Friends of Tuscany who were brilliant with exceptional service and support.

Sehr schöne Lage

Wir waren hier für 3 Wochen und hatten super Wetter. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet. Einfacher Standard aber alles sauber. Der Pool ist wirklich toll mit Blick in die Berge. Holzbackofen und Grillplatz sind ausgezeichnet. Die Vermieterin ist super nett und hilfsbereit. Restaurant ist in der Nähe mit guter Küche. Einkaufsmöglichenkeiten sind gut. Pisa, Lucca oder Florenz sind gut erreichbar. Golfplatz in Castelnuovo nicht empfehlenswert. Gesamteindruck ist wirklich gut.

It’s a nice place to stay

We stayed for a week, it was a nice enough place to stay and we enjoyed the outside areas very much, it just lacked the “little things” like extra toilet roll, bin bags, and other little things we had to buy, after spending so much on renting it would be nice to have all bases covered, nice peaceful area with supermarkets around 15mins drive both ways, the pool was nice although the jacuzzi is old and the water was/got grimy really quickly and whilst the pool was cleaned mid visit the jacuzzi was not, the jacuzzi bath (master bedroom) was awful, we filled the bath In anticipation of a lovely relaxing night, turned on the jets and what came out was black tar like gunk, I had to run it through 3-4times before I risked using it again, all the kitchen equipment was there and then some! The outdoor coking areas were great, unfortunately the table football (one of the things which prompted us to book, as we had 3 teens with us) was gone, we later saw it in the bushes, broken, the table tennis table was ok but we couldn’t find balls in the local shops so used the ones they had at the villa but they weren’t great, so take your own ping pong balls, all in all we loved our stay but the things we expected, were missing and that let it down a little for us, be sure to take lots of sun cream and some pool floats, we spent all our time beside or in the pool. Also take your own hair dryer, there were two I found one didn’t work at all and the other, wall mounted, was so slow it took forever to dry my short hair. Would we go again? I don’t think so. But we do love the idea of a villa, Enjoy your stay and relax, we definitely did!!

Toller Urlaub

Wir können das Ferienhaus uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Es ist gut ausgestattet, der Pool grandios. Wir waren 8 Leute und hatten genügend Platz. Alessandra ist eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin und hat sich immer schnell gekümmert wenn mal was war. Es war alles sauber und wohnlich. Die Küche ist wirklich toll und wir haben viel gekocht, der Kühlschrank ist auch für große Einkäufe geeignet. Kleine Kritikpunkte: der Jacuzzi wurde leider erst in unserer zweiten Woche repariert und konnte so in unserer ersten Woche nicht benutzt werden (obwohl wir direkt bemängelt hatten). Die Bäder sind etwas feucht und im Haus sind ein paar Schimmelstellen zu finden; das lässt sich bei dem Klima wohl kaum vermeiden. Etwas ungeschickt war die Kommunikation: wir wurden nur nach Wechsel der Bettwäsche gefragt, worauf wir verzichteten. Dass wir nach einer Woche frische Handtücher erhalten würden, wussten wir nicht. So haben wir zwischendurch eben gewaschen, was nicht so schlimm ist. Fazit: insgesamt ein toller Urlaub, auch von der Lage her würde ich das Haus jederzeit empfehlen. Wir hatten eine gute Zeit!
