For more details (including floorplans) please google turleyfarmbarns for our website. We also have a two person separate studio appartment called the Bothy (listed on HomeAway) which can provide additional accommodation if you want to accommodate eight people in your party.

Converted in 2015, this traditional Cotswold stone barn sits within 25 acres of farmland. The barn comfortably sleeps 6 guests with ample space for relaxing. If it's a quiet get-away you are after, or a place where you can walk, eat at great local pubs and restaurants, explore the Cotswolds and Oxford, then this is the perfect retreat for you. Quiet, modern, comfortable - see the reviews if you need convincing! Ben and Kate have also added a swimming pond to their facilities at the farm; wild swimming is on the doorstep! There are also regular yoga, pilates and mindfulness classes run in the Big Barn. You would be very welcome to join; see turleyfarmbarns website Big Barn page to book.

Downstairs:

Open plan living area – comfortable sofas around wood-burning stove with books, 30 inch HD flatscreen TV/DVD/Freeview, wifi connection and iPod docking sound system.

Dining area for 6.

Fully equipped modern kitchen with electric hob, oven, dishwasher and everything you’d expect from corkscrew to tea strainers.

Utility room and WC equipped with washer/drier and space for grubby boots.

Underfloor heating throughout. The barn is heated by an environmentally friendly ground sourced heat pump which allows for maximum temperatures of 21 degrees downstairs and 19 degrees upstairs. These can be boosted by using the wood burning stove downstairs.

Upstairs:

Master bedroom with King Size double bed. Adjoining en-suite bathroom with double walk-in shower.

2 further double bedrooms with King Size double beds.

Family bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

Outside:

Lawned and enclosed garden area with terrace. Private parking for 2 cars.

Perfect getaway with friends

Kate’s place was the perfect base for our weekend in the countryside. It’s about half an hour from Soho farmhouse. The barn next door hosts yoga and Pilates classes, and we enjoyed a lovely Saturday 9am yoga class followed by the dip in the pond. It was glorious! Only tiny bit of feedback was some of the pots and pans were a little dirty that we got out, probably just not cleaned properly by accident by whoever last used it, and a number of ladybirds in the master bedroom. Other than this it was faultless and was the perfect base for us. Thanks again Xx

Beautiful!

The house is beautifully furnished, very clean and has everything you might need. It was extremely comfortable throughout, although the beds are quite firm so a mattress topper might be good. The surroundings are just beautiful, and the freshwater pool, although absolutely freezing, was stunning - to swim among dragonflies on a sunny morning was an experience we’ll never forget!

A perfect stay

We had a perfect stay at this stunning property. The barn was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, it's even more spacious than it appears in the pictures. We loved the picturesque surroundings and the pool was a lovely bonus. Kate and Ben were great hosts and quick to respond to a couple of requests we had. Five stars all round.

Everything we wanted it to be

Thank you so much Kate and Ben for a wonderful stay. We absolutely loved the location. The barn was perfect for a get together with friends and the natural pool was glorious - with dragonflies and swifts flying around our heads. We honestly couldn’t have wished for more. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind and switch off from the world. I confess we didn’t go exploring locally (other tha for a short walk) because we just wanted to chill away from the busyness of normal life. Will book again. Vicki x

The nature pond was amazing!

Beautiful setting and very peaceful. Lovely surrounding countryside and villages. Also very close to Blenheim Palace which was a fantastic day out. The natural pool was an added bonus especially on a warm, sunny day.

Beautiful location for writing retreat

We were a group of 5 doctoral researchers at differing stages of our research, looking for a place to be relaxed yet focussed for a three days writing retreat. Kate and Ben’s place certainly fit the bill. The facilities are excellent and the surroundings are truly idyllic.

Wonderful weekend away

We were three couples looking for a relaxing weekend away from our London lives and this property was just perfect. It was a great open space for socialising together in the evenings. We had a lovely country walk and pub lunch together during Saturday and back to the barn for a relaxed evening cocktails & dinner. Simply amazing!

Turley Farm is a truly magical place and a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property is spacious, quiet, and surrounded by natural beauty. Our younger children were so enthralled and excited to interact with the animals, the garden, and all the friendly people at Turley Farm. Ben and Kate have also done a masterful job with the barn itself. All of the finishings are upgraded and there are so many small details that show a level of care and craftsmanship. The entire experience exceeded our expectations and then some. Thank you Ben and Kate!

My fiancé and I stayed at the cottage and celebrated our engagement with a party at the venue. Stunning location, very picturesque setting. Beautiful, tasteful, serene and the best swimming ever!!

The six of us fell in love with the little barn, and all its lovely, furry friends. The grounds are splendid, and the rooms tastefully appointed in every detail. It was peaceful to sit outside in the garden and have a meal or sip a glass of wine and chat. The “swimming hole” was a refreshing way to enjoy the farm. It was a magnificent find that I will share with others. I most grateful to our hosts Kate and Ben!!!

Lovely place, especially for young children who can all enjoy country farm experiences, and for adults getting away from the madding crowd. Comfortable, light filled converted barn with modern amenities worked well for the six of us. Good selection of nearby pubs and restaurants made our experience that much more enjoyable. Swimming in the fresh water pond/pool, feeding pigs and ducks, and visits by the adorable boxer Hilda (who occasionally ran off with frisbees and badminton gear) were particular delights for our grandchildren. Kate and Ben gave us many helpful suggestions and were there to assist if necessary.

A beautiful stay...

Our thanks to Ben and Kate for making us all feel so welcome! The boys loved the swimming pond and running wild with their lovely dog Hilda. The cottage was well-cared for and had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. We were in reasonable driving distance to a load of pretty little villages to keep us busy on the rainy days. A very peaceful break from the bustle of London. Thank you again!

We live in the beautiful little village of Delly End, about 10 minutes drive from Witney in West Oxfordshire. We have a smallholding on which we rear cattle, pigs, sheep and chickens. We also grow our own veg. We have 3 children (in their teens, at school and at Uni), 2 dogs and a couple of cats. We both work from home, but are separate to the barn and while we aim to be there if you need us, we give you space and quietness.

Why they chose this property

We've lived in the main farmhouse for over a decade now and recently converted the ramshackle outer barns into a holiday property. We've been careful to retain the character of the barns with all the charm of the Cotswolds stone. The conversions are immaculate; Ben is a builder by profession and believes strongly in combining traditional materials and retaining the character of the original building, while also bringing modern comfort to the barn. It is light, airy, has bi-fold doors which lead out to a terrace, where - on warmer evenings - you can have a barbecue and a glass of wine. The garden looks over to the fields beyond.

What makes this property unique

Ben and Kate have recently built a swimming pond which will be accessible for their guests throughout the day. It is totally natural, no chlorine or chemicals. Refreshing and inviting on a warm, summer day.

The location of the farm is perfect for those wanting a quiet retreat where they can walk, ride, bike, read, cook, eat and drink. There are a multitude of very good pubs and restaurants close by, as well as things and places to explore in the Cotswolds, Oxford and Woodstock nearby.
