Casa Ensueño - an oasis of peace with fantastic views.

Casa Ensueño is a detached villa with 4 bedrooms (sleeps 7) and three bathrooms. It is located in the picturesque Jalon valley, 1 km from the town centre on the mountain side with spectacural views over the valley.
Jalón is well known for its big and famous Rastro market, which is every saturday along the river side, its wine bodegas and the fiestas, which take place beginning of August and in October.

Casa Ensueño offers his guests rest and peace away from bustle, but without being far away from the coast. The sandy beaches from Calpe or the rocky bays from Benissa are attainable in a few car minutes drive, and the busy nightlife of Benidorm is located only 30 minutes by car.

This lovely villa disposes of a big terrace, with stunning views up to the Bernia mountains, a paradise for those who love hiking. With a glass of wine you can assist to the romantic and spectacural sunsets over trhe Jalon valley. A second covered terrace offeres shelter for thge hot days. From here you can reach the 10 x 5 meter pool.

Casa Ensueño consists of two floors. Through the main entrance and across the corridor you get to the big living and dinning room and from here to the outside terrace. On the same floor you find the fully equipped kitchen and a 1 bed bedroom.
Some stairs lead you to the bottom floor were the rest of the bedrooms are and the covered naya. Bedroom nº1 has a king-size bed with bathroom en suite, bedroom nº2 two single beds and bedroom nº3 also a king-size bed and a sitting area, shower room en suite and a separate kitchen and dinning area. From here you get to the pool and garden with all the necessary outside furniture like dinning table, sun lounges, different sitting places,...

There is parking place for three cars. One shade covered on the bottom level and the others on the top level at the mail entrance.

A beautiful villa

This is a beautiful villa with amazing, unspoilt views of the Jalon Valley. Minutes by car from Jalon. Private, not overlooked. Pool area was well equipped with sunbeds, covered seating and dining areas. We've stayed in Jalon lots of times. This Villa is the nicest one we've stayed in. You will love it!

Take time to unwind and switch off in the Jalon valley

Being familiar with this area I chose the villa for its location, views and outside space. It delivered on all fronts! The pool is fabulous and a great size, well maintained and the recent addition of a seating plinth by the new entrance steps is the perfect place to enjoy the sun and views from the pool after a swim. There are lots of different areas to sit and relax at the property either outside (or inside), enjoy the views and switch off with plenty of shaded areas from the sun when needed. The villa looks across to mountains and below in the valley are almond trees, vineyards, orange groves and pine trees. It is a lovely private location and very peaceful. Both my husband and I were totally relaxed and enjoyed life at our own pace. If you are a walker or a cyclist its a great location to enjoy these pursuits. The local Jalon town has some cafe's, bars and restaurants if you want to kick back rather than get active! Given its rural location, star gazing at night on the veranda it totally amazing!. Jalon village is a few miles down the hill with a well stocked local supermarket which is really handy. No need to go too far. On the outskirts of Jalon there is a larger area of retail shops including Lidl etc. If you want to visit the coast the villa is about 30 minutes in land and accessible to lots of beautiful parts of the Costa Blanca which is well worth while (Altea, Calpe, Javea, Denia), but there are lots of lovely traditional small villages to be enjoyed locally if you prefer. Christian was an excellent host right from the initial booking process to the end of our stay. As we flew in late Christian had kindly stocked the fridge with some drinks and breakfast items which was very thoughtful. He was was easily contactable. He also offered access to another villa on our last day as we were flying home late. This meant we could check out from the villa for cleaning but have access to another villa for 4 hours to swim, have lunch and shower and change. This was really appreciated. If you are looking for a relaxing quiet location with plenty of outside space in a tradition Spanish home, this is a perfect fit. Christian is an excellent host and I would definitively recommend.

Family holiday

Booked this villa for 4 adults and 2 children. Location is up a very steep single track road, too far for our party to walk into the village so car essential. Good central location. Property as listed, ample space for our number only negative comments are regarding bathrooms as 2 shower rooms with small unit and only shower curtain meant floors flooded each use. Kitchen utensils/glassware not plentiful but gas hob and very effective oven. Be mindful of booking with small children or those less mobile as stairs in property and out to pool are quite ‘awkward’. Good communication throughout with property manager.

Fabulous villa fantastic location

Fabulous villa in a fantastic location. Although there were only 2 of us staying in the villa it would be suitable for a larger family group due to its layout, its spaciousness and abundance of outside space. Very quiet peaceful location yet close to (25 mins walk or 4 min drive) Jalon and the beaches of Benissa, moriara and javea are all within half an hour. We have been visiting this area for over 18 years and this is one of the best villas and locations we have stayed in and we would highly recommend Casa Ensueno. Not forgetting the owner Christian who is charming, very helpful and gave us some great tips on things to do and places to eat ( Bistro Selene and restaurant Del hierro).

A fantastic property in rural Spain with views to die for.

The property is in the most fantastic location with unspoilt views all round of the mountains and Jalon Valley. Christian is a true professional and on hand whenever you need him but nowhere to be seen if you don’t. Jalon is a truly rustic Spanish village, we were lucky enough to visit during their 2 week festival season and experienced fireworks, fire crackers, floats, water parades and bull running in the streets. Fustera beach is around 20 mins drive away, plenty of others nearby too. Larger towns of Denia, Javea and Calpe all very close too. For a peaceful and beautiful location you can’t beat this place. The villa is well equipped with a great outside cooking area. Very strongly recommend this villa for anyone.

Beautiful place.

Nice place to stay. It's quiet ,no noises. Only the animals. Beautiful vieuw from the terrace. The villa had everything you need. It's a nice place to stay. The shops are not far away. We had a magnificent Holliday.

Spectacular views with absolute silence

Only the two of us but we really enjoyed this property with the wonderful views. The owner Christian was very helpful to us providing valuable local knowledge. Unique location with easy access to Jalon. The Bistro Selene restaurant was the place to eat. Good base for day runs to the mountains

Fantastic Villa in a Great Location

We stayed for 2 weeks with 2 families (4 Adults and 3 Kids ages 12, 9 and 8). The Villa is even better than the photos show space for everyone we were not on top of each other. There are 3 main outside area's, the Pool (with it's own Bar) terraces on Level 1 and 2 and the Outside Kitchen and BBQ area. Each area provides a fantastic place to sunbathe, have a drink, read a book, Barbecue or eat dinner. Whether you want to sit in the shade or in the sun. The Villa is up the Hill approx 25 mins walking from the town (that was with 3 kids at the end of the night) so not a problem. The views from the terraces are stunning. The villa catered very well for our needs. The Pool was clean and well maintained (and large) there was both UK and foreign TV channels and internet access throughout the property and outside areas. Kitchen was well kitted out with everything you would need and the Villa had two fridges which was ideal for chilling the quantity of drinks required. All of the bedrooms had good beds and fans. Temperatures were mid 30's during out stay and although we were apprehensive about lack of air conditioning this was unfounded as the villa remained at a reasonable temperature and no-one had issues sleeping through being too hot. Jalon (Xalo) is a more authentic Spanish town with a large variety of restaurants and Bars (Spanish) Velosol Cycling Cafe, el desig (It has table football and a pool Table) and Casa Katy would be a few recommendations but there are others. We stayed over the Fiesta Period and this provided entertainment every day, sometimes during the day (Kids entertainment day and a large water fight through the streets this was recommended to us and was fantastic) music in the main square at night. There is a big supermarket Mas y Mas in Jalon and a Consum/Mercadonna 10 minutes away in Benissa, beaches approx 20 minutes away "La Fustera" has sand Last but not least Christian the owner is a great help, lives locally and always available for assistance or information etc.. I would be very surprised if we do not return to this Villa / Area again as there is still lots to do and see which we did not get completed in this 2 weeks.

A beautiful place to visit.

Our second visit to Casa Ensueno did not disappoint. The new improvements such as the shaded barbeque area made our stay even more enjoyable than before. The owner Christian is always easily reached for help and advice and his attention to detail is excellent. If you are looking to stay at a villa that will leave you with special memories I would definitely recommend this one. We hope to return again.

Great family villa with superb views.

The photographs of this lovely villa do not do it justice. The views from all around the villa and balconies towards the town of Jalon and the surrounding mountains are beautiful. The outdoor barbeque area and outdoor kitchen (a converted donkey stable) was the perfect place to relax in the afternoon sun while cooking the wide range of fresh fish available in the area. Thank you also to the local farmer that grows vegetables near to the villa for the fresh tomatoes. The local bodega also provides local wine at 1Euro/ltr if you're that way inclined/reclined ! There is also a poolside bar area (self service of course). This traditional Spanish villa has a large amount of outside areas providing lots of secluded space to enjoy the sun, and the pool area is very private with a shaded dining area. Inside the villa was well maintained and clean, and retained it's rustic charm. Christian the owner was very attentive to our needs and was easily contacted. The villa is reached by a hilly country lane surrounded by vineyards and a few other properties that are not intrusive at all. Jalon village is lesuirely ten minutes walk down the lane (twenty minutes up!) or if you want to shed the calories you can do a 4 mile run down the lane into Jalon and along the river bank through the vineyards and back up the lane (the hill will sort the men out from the boys!). The local area has a good range of restaurants to enjoy (I would recommend Venta Roja) and a weekly fresh produce market. All in all we had a lovely relaxed family holiday at Casa Ensueno, so much so that we booked again next year.

Einfach nur schön

Wir waren 9 Nächte in dem wunderschönen Haus mit fantastischer Aussicht. Während am der Küste der "Bär steppt" befindet man sich in dem Haus in einer Oase der Ruhe. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und aufmerksam, der Pool fantastisch. Die Ausstattung sehr gut. Alles wunderbar.

Urlaub im Paradies

Schon der Empfang von unserem Gastgeber Christian war so herzlich, dass wir uns direkt wohl gefühlt haben. Das Haus war sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen perfekten Urlaub braucht. Der Pool mit der fantastischen Aussicht ließ uns die spanische Hitze gut ertragen. Auch landschaftlich hat die Gegend viel zu bieten und Dank der Tipps von Christian sind auch die Wanderfreunde unter uns auf ihre Kosten gekommen. Alles in allem ein absolut zu empfehendes Urlaubsdomizil. Vielen Dank für die wunderbare Zeit.

Quiet and peacyfully with a great pool!

We had a great 3 weeks in this villa, which is located in the jalon valley, Xalo is the village name. If you want to unwind this is the place to be, Christian the owner is a great help if you need him and lives not far away. The house is very nice with a great sunterrace on the top floor where you cab start the day with coffee or and the day with wine. Very private and no neighbors near by. The pool is just fantastic!! crystal clear and just the right temperature to cooldown after a day at the beach (30 min drive). Enjoy your holidays!

Es tal cual sale en el anuncio, la casa muy grande y limpia, con todo lo necesario para pasar unos dias de relax y tranquilidad. Los peques se lo han pasado genial. Y el entorno fantastico para hacer caminatas. El pueblo està muy cerca. El Trato con el propietario excelente, sin duda, volveriamos a repetir.

Propriétaire très gentil et très réactif. Emplacement de la maison idéale. Superbe vue et calme incroyable. La chambre du bas est située dans le passage pour aller vers l’extérieur même si un autre accès est possible. Salles de bains du haut et du bas à refaire absolument
