Peaceful family break

Lovely home, our little boy loved the pool too. Provins was a fantastic day out, as was the safari park.

One week not enough

Warm welcome from our host Sandrine, introduces us to the many features of this charming accomodation. Plenty of space for the four of us. We cooked most evenings. The two fridges provided room to keep food and wine/lager chilled and the dishwasher helped us keep things tidy. The private garden was perfect for relaxing in or playing table tennis, nd if it got to windy for table tennis the table football upstairs provided great entertainment. Alternatively their is a TV and DVD player in the lounge for quieter evenings. Oh and use of the pool is a bonus touch. The location is lovely and quie. The village centre appears to have been recently updated with parking spaces. The old church bells have a lovely sound, and two bakers, two butcher and a mini mart are all centrally located A supermarket only a short drive. Would love to come again and explore the region more.

Wonderful Gite!

My family and I stayed at this lovely gite in August 2023. It is a beautiful character property with all the necessities. The shared pool is fantastic and quiet. We liked that the gite was in a quiet area, with a secure private garden and seating area for the kids. The town centre is 2 minutes drive away and the local supermarket 5 minutes. While we stayed we visited Disneyland Paris which is an hour away, an easy drive. The host Sandrine greeted us on arrival and lived next door. Our holiday was perfect with no problems. We will look to stay again in the future!

Too short a break

Lovely property with a lovely pool as described. Visited zoo and Disneyland Paris, Provins and epernay. Owners next door but not intrusive. Bakery and small shops 15 minutes walk with a larger supermarket on the outskirts of the town. Would have happily stayed longer.

Had a nice stay

The pool was definitely the highlight of our stay. My son accidentally broke a outdoor chair and we offered to replace it but Sandrine kindly refused. Very handy for Paris and Disneyland.

Amazing stay

We had an amazing stay at Sandrine’s place. The property was exquisitely done, well equipped, everything was super clean, the pool booking system was so easy - it didn’t even feel like you were sharing. If you have kids the property is ideal, from lots of children's play things, to a high chair, and the garden was one level and fenced in. We stayed in summer but imagine it would also be cosy and lovely in winter. Great BBQ area too and Sandrine was so helpful with all our questions. Location is great with local bakery and big super market. A really easy drive from Calais. Would definitely recommend!

1st vacation with 2 kids

This was our first vacation with 2 kids (9 month old and 2,5 year old). They loved the pool and fenced in yard. The host provided 2 cots and a high chair which was very convenient. Had a great vacation

Superb private gem in champagne

Sandrine could not have been more helpful in making our stay superb. The gite is delightful, great facilities including the private heated pool. It also had separate washer dryer which is far in excess of many other properties. The decor was authentic, and suited The lovely refurb that has been carried out. We had a wonderful stay, and it was so quite and peaceful. A perfect place to explore the beautiful region, with the support of our host. Thanks sandrine, for everything.

A great place to stay

We enjoyed a week here in October 2019. The property is clean and adequately equipped for all your needs. The gite has a cosy feel to it and if you feel a bit chilly of an evening you have the added luxury of the use of a wood burning stove. The rooms are spacious and all have shower facilities. The outdoor BBQ area is suitable for use both in the summer and the winter. It is located in a little hamlet with a well equipped supermarket which is only a short distance of 10 mins away in the car . It’s an easy 30/40 min drive to most larger towns . Troyes is well worth a visit. I would really recommend this and we will re book to visit at some point soon. Sandrine is very helpful and welcoming.

Beautiful Gite in the French countryside

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Gite. There is plenty of space and facilities. The beds were comfy. We went with our 8yr and 4yr old, they loved the pool and the babyfoot table. We brought plenty of DVDs for the evenings. Sandrine is very helpful and communicates well.

Excellent French Gite

Very good, clean and well equipped Gite. Esternay is a really nice little town with a very friendly bar/flower shop. The pool was enjoyed by all 4 of us when the temperature got really hot. We would all highly recommend this Gite.

Beautiful house

We wanted to visit Champagne but didn't want to stay in one of the big towns. My wife found this property which looked lovely, was reasonably priced and the owner, Sandrine, was very helpful. We booked and we're not disappointed. The house is decorated very well, is comfortable warm and spacious. The garden while not huge was fine for our needs and we even managed an Easter BBQ. Sandrine was flexible on times of arrival and departure so do contact her. I thourghly recommend it.

Sandrine was a very welcoming host. The cottage is beautiful and very well equipped. Everything was in good condition and we very much enjoyed being able to relax in such peaceful surroundings. We were sad to leave.

Beautiful gite

This gite was fully restored by the owners a few years ago and they did an amazing job, staying faithful to the character of the property while using high end materials. It really is lovely. There are 3 bedrooms. One is a downstairs double with a massage shower. The other two are upstairs; a spacious twin room (no ensuite) and another double (ensuite with another lovely shower). Also upstairs is the play area with a table football table, which we had great fun with! Downstairs there is a kitchen with island, utility room, another toilet, and a large lounge/dining room. Outside there is a covered seating area and table where we enjoyed eating even in the rain! But for me the highlight of this place was the private pool in the back yard. It is listed as a shared pool, but is only shared with the owners, who were away during our stay so we had it all to ourselves! It was heated and got plenty of sun (as did the front of the property in fact). We were met and shown round by a friend of the owners who lives very nearby and was very nice. There are a couple of supermarkets just a few minutes' drive away (one in the town, which is walking distance, and a bigger one just outside Esternay). There is also lots to do in the region: velorail in Esternay itself, and a medieval village, Provins, half an hour away which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highly recommended!

STUNNING COTTAGE IN FANTASTIC LOCATION

We stayed in this beautiful cottage from 11.08.18 to 18.08.18. Everything was perfect, there were just 4 of us, myself my partner and two boys aged 13 and 16. We had superb weather and made full use of the heated pool. We enjoyed visits out to the Champagne houses in Epernay and 2 full days at Disneyland Paris which was a 1 hour drive away. Our evenings were spent having bbqs or making dinner in the fully equipped kitchen and playing cards and board games. A relaxing time was had by all. Sandrine was most helpful from the start of the booking process to our very last day allowing us to stay until lunchtime before we headed home. Have recommended to many of our friends, hope to come back again.

Very Nice Gite

Very nice and relaxed stay in Sandrines Gite. A good way of sharing the pool with a scheme to sign up. Nice small village with a bakery a small cafe and market (Tuesday morning). Good champagne house a short car trip away. Very easy to take the train to Paris from Provins, 30 min in car from Esternay. Sandrine is a super host.
