Amazing views of Gratton Beach and across Galway Bay

Our week in this 4th floor apartment wasn't the best for weather but my goodness when the sun shines, the view is fabulous. And when the wind lets up (and with a fresh coffee in your hand), sitting out on the balcony is a joy! We loved the location too. Just a 5 minute walk to Salthill with all it has to offer but far enough away to not be disturbed by the hustle and bustle. A 15 minute walk in the other direction (25 minutes if you take the more scenic route alongside the causeway) takes you to the heart of Galway. We've much more we want to see of Ireland but I'm sure at some point we'll come back to Galway and when we do, I hope we'll be able to stay here again.

Great apartment in a stunning location

The apartment couldn't be in a better position - looking out to sea and overlooking the promenade. The balcony is a perfect place to watch the world go by and only a few minutes' walk to beaches, bars and restaurants and 15-20 minute walk into Galway City Centre. Galway is a marvellous vibrant city and the surrounding countryside is stunning. Sean and his family were so friendly and helpful and the weather was incredible!

Super apartment and location

Very nice and spacious apartment, with great views out onto Galway bay. Well located for trips into city (15 minute walk) or west into Connemara. Good local shops, particularly Mortons or Galway (2 minutes away) which sells all sorts of delicious foody treats, fresh bread etc. Parking in lock up garage on ground floor was very useful. Owner Sean and son Cathill were very friendly and helpful.

Good Galway Getaway

We stayed in the top floor apartment for a week and had a great time. Sean was a fab host- easy to contact and helped with any requests we had. I stayed with my parents and toddler and found the flat spacious and the view from the living room and balcony of the beach and coast was beautiful. The decor is a little dated but the place is good value for money. Very good location and super secure parking. I would recommend.

Great apartment

Positives - Good sized rooms and great balcony with sea view. Walking distance to both Salthill and Galway with plenty of choice for restaurants/cafes/pubs. Beach(with lifeguard) was 2 minute walk from apartment. Negatives - Weak WiFi. More large plates and glasses would have been helpful. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Ideal location

Was wonderful way to start the day looking out over Galway Bay.Location was within walking distance to anything you may need or want. Also short walk to bus stop to downtown Galway and the sites and shopping there.Would definitely go there again

Five weeks in Galway!

We had a wonderful 5 week stay with friends and family—-all was perfect! Sean was very friendly and responsive. The location is very safe and secure. A 15 minute walk into Galway and a very short walk into Salt Hill. The view is of the bay is incredible. We would highly recommend this place.

Great get-away by the sea

My husband and I had a wonderful two weeks in this spacious apartment overlooking the Salthill Promenade and Atlantic Ocean beach. Just 10-15 min walk to center of the Salthill resort action, with many pubs, restaurants and other fun activities. And a 20-25 min enjoyable stroll to Galway City Center. The hosts, Sean and his son, were very responsive, answering many questions before and during our stay. The apartment was well equipped. In addition, a really helpful housekeeper provided fresh linens and some cleaning if desired - a very nice surprise for us. We would love to return on a future trip to Galway.

We had such an amazing stay in Salthill. After struggling to find the place long after we stayed we would be there we found the property owners son outside trying to find us :) Such a beautiful location very clean and all around a great stay. We hope to be back soon!

Adequate Salthill unit

This two bedroom two bath apartment is adequate for a stay in Galway. The location is good, with a stunning view from the balcony. It is a five minute walk to the Salthill shops and restaurants, and about a 10-15 minute walk to the Latin Quarter in Galway. And across the road is a beautiful walk along the water, when the weather allows! The unit itself is clean, but very dated. In particular the linens (towels, sheets) - while clean, had stains from previous use on them. There were also a few small moths that emerged from when I took the extra pillows out of the closet. The kitchen was adequately stocked with dishes, but would have been nice to have one bottle of oil and maybe a few basic condiments. Sean was friendly, but a little difficult to get hold of prior to check-in as he doesn't use WhatsApp and I was not taking regular calls on my North American phone while there.

Great stay on Galway Bay!

Highly recommended! Comfortable, spacious apartment in an excellent location with an incredible view. The host met us to show us how to get in the gate, etc, and told us about the history of the area. Couldn’t have been better.

Lovely Quiet Galway Getaway

The apartment is absolutely lovely - quite a nice view of Galway Bay. We appreciated the relative peacefulness of the neighborhood. We could easily walk to Galway City Centre and the Latin Quarter, but then get away from bustle. There are some lovely pubs, coffee shops, and take-aways nearby to enjoy and a walk along the Prom is a delight. The unit was spotless, we certainly appreciated the secure off-street parking, and are looking forward to another stay in the future.
