A great location to enjoy Chappaquiddick. Easy access to a small beach at the end of the road and Wasque reservation about 3-4 minutes up the road. Also easy bike ride to a farm stand and to the ferry to Edgartown where you can easily walk to Stop&Shop. A great low-key, relaxing vacation.
This house was so beautiful- everything was thought of too. There were extra towels, plenty of pots, even a decent knife to cut with (you never find that in rental homes). The listing doesn’t do the view justice.
If you don’t know Chappaquiddick, make sure to bring all your groceries! The ferry back to Edgartown is long! So pack a cooler, and just prepare to enjoy the proximity to some of the most beautiful and least populated beaches.
The house was so well set up for kids (maybe not babies, bc of the stairs) but it was so perfect for our 3-4 year olds. And the outdoor shower really helped to keep the house sand free.
Erica was so responsive- you could really tel they wanted us to have a great time. And we had a FANTASTIC time. Can we book for next summer now?
We visited Martha's Vineyard for the African American Film Festival in August. The home fit our family/ friends comfortably and my son who is 2 enjoyed the trampoline very much. It is a very short walk to the beach which was heavenly. The photos do not do the home justice. The views are incredible. We enjoyed rainbows and sunsets from any of the three balcony/ patio spaces. Communication with the owners was seamless. One thing to note is that if you stay in this area you MUST have a car. No uber/ lyfts and the ferry lines can get long early morning and through the afternoon. Like up to a 1.5 hour wait. Also be sure to bring your food in with you from Stop & Shop (no delivery) or order beforehand from New England Country Mart which delivers to Chappy on Thursdays. Staying on Chappaquidick (Chappy) is worth it, but do a good amount of research beforehand to better understand getting on and off the island and to the other areas of MV. If you want a remote get away. This is definitely it. In all, this place is worth it.
Our stay was just what the doctor ordered! Beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Erica our host bent over backward to make our stay special. We'll be back again.
