Or invite them to join you, as Cashew Villa comfortably beds up to 6 people.

Arrive In Style:

When you arrive at Cashew Villa, you will be greeted by Berthia, our house manager. With over 20 years of hospitality experience, she will make sure that your stay is unforgettable.

Berthia has high standards, as she ensures the house is clean and ready for your arrival.

She’ll be there three days each week - Monday, Wednesday, & Friday - to tidy up the place and assist you in any way.

Want even more privacy? No problem. You let Berthia know if you want fewer (or more) visits.

If you want, you can arrive in style to a freshly cooked creole meal prepared by Berthia. Don’t worry – she knows how to cook for all dietary restrictions and allergies.

Feeling adventurous?

Ask her to prepare a local rum punch to go with your meal.

Settle into your new home away from home. No need to panic, as we provide some breakfast essentials that let you have a lazy first morning while you plan your stay.

Nestor, our pool maintenance and security expert, will also be around too on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. He helps keep the pool in tip-top shape for Insta-worthy pictures.

For extra peace of mind, Nestor stays over in the small cabin near the car park at night. Any maintenance issues and he is always happy to help.

Your New Home Away From Home:

Imagine waking up to chirping birds, a cool ocean breeze, and the stunning view of the Pitons every morning.

The house has large sliding glass doors that opens up the heart of the house to a stunning balcony.

You can have your breakfast every morning with the panoramic view of the Gros and Petit Pitons, the Caribbean Sea, and sometimes even Saint Vincent is visible.

This classic spacious Creole house has 3 bedrooms with 3 on-suite bathrooms, giving you the freedom to host friends or family. All bedrooms have king-sized beds, two of which can be transformed into two twin beds for accommodating larger families.

But don’t feel obligated to share if you’re looking for a romantic getaway (Shh.... it will be our little secret that there is extra space available in the villa).

The full kitchen and downstairs kitchenette allow you to cook at your new home if you want relaxed dining with an impossible-to-beat view. Or you can live like a local, and have Berthia cook all your meals for you (ask about pricing).

Want something more luxurious?

No problem. There are several fine-dining restaurants only minutes away:
 Anse Chastanet Tree House or Apsara Restaurant (Indian cuisine)
 Boucan at Hotel Chocolat
 Dasheene at Ladera

Use the pool-side BBQ grill to cook freshly caught fish, chicken, or even lobster if it’s in season.

Cashew Villa truly is your Creole home away from home.

Living Together with Nature:

At Cashew Villa, we pride ourselves on being eco-friendly.

The pool is heated to a comfortable temperature of 27 degrees Celsius year-round by underground plumbing that uses the sun’s natural heat to warm the water.

The pool also uses a salt-water system, which is more gentle on skin, eyes, and hair. No more crunchy hair after your vacation!

Rainwater is the main source of our water supply. The water tanks are monitored and inspected annually to ensure the highest quality. The water is double-filtered, giving you fresh mineral-rich water.

And if you accidentally spend too long in the sun, we have aloe plants growing nearby that will speed up the healing process.

Close (But Not Too Close) To All the Attractions:

At Cashew Villa, you will be in the heart of nature, surrounded by lush tropical forest. With no neighbors in sight, you will have complete privacy.

A hidden benefit of being so secluded? Star-gazing. Admire the jaw-dropping beauty of the Milky Way as you lay on the lounge chairs. Be stunned by the sheer quantity of stars that twinkle above you. If you’re lucky, you’ll even be able to make a wish or two on shooting stars.

Spend your days lounging by the large private pool or exploring the island’s nearby attractions. The villa is 10 minutes away from the beach and less than 30 minutes away from popular sites:

 Sulfur Springs
 Drive-in Volcano
 Botanical Garden
 Hiking the Pitons
 Scuba Diving & Snorkeling
 Dolphin and Whale Watching
 Deep Sea Fishing

Breath taking views

The setting and views from this property are 5 star and rival any of the luxury hotels in St Lucia, in fact I would argue they’re better than any of the hotels. The pool is the perfect size and wonderful for a refreshing dip. It’s a deep pool but it has a little shelf / ledge around it which us adults could sit on and our just 4 year old could walk/ stand on, which worked brilliantly for all of us.Bertha and Nestor were both super friendly and I would absolutely recommend you ask Bertha to cook a meal. It lasted us for three meals! Nestor also roasted some cashews for us which our daughter loved. The property inside is really homely, it is tired in areas, but it is clearly a well loved home and it has a lovely feel to it. This property is all about the outside space and the outlook, so we could forgive the interior shortcomings! We were fine with the lack of air conditioning and found the ceiling fans very efficient. It did get warm inside in the late afternoon as the sun shone in, but not a major problem. As others have said, the road up is an adventure! As long as you have a suitable car, take it slowly and toot your horn at corners you’ll be fine. The house is about a ten minute drive down to Anse Chasenet beach and Anse Mamin is a 10-15mins walk from there, which we absolutely loved. The beach bar/ restaurant there is pricy but the food is great. The beach is beautiful and quiet and we were so grateful that our villa was so close.

Incredible place to stay!

An absolute gem of a place in a beautiful part of St Lucia, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. This is incredibly close to the beautiful Anse Chastanet beach where you can pre-book beach chairs and food. The sealife here is absolutely stunning with schools of fish, turtles, eels and a variety sea life, this was the highlight of our trip! SOME TIPS TO IMPROVE YOUR STAY 1. You absolutely must have a 4x4 in low gear mode to access the villa. The road to the villa is incredibly steep (30+ degrees) and a regular car will not make it up the hill. It certainly is an adventure! 2. The villa is nestled high up the mountain and there are plenty of bugs around. We found it was best to have plenty of mosquito coils for outside, keep all the windows and doors closed after dark and to spray the whole house to catch any stray mosquitos before dark. With the above in mind, the villa is incredible and the clarity of the sky and stars at night is out of this world. We would highly recommend this place.

Wonderful views, Beautiful Villa, Great Location

Perched on a hill above Soufriere this villa has the best vantage point in St Lucia. Forget Jade Mountain, the views here are better. Waking up to the view of the Pitons and the bay never fails to impress. The villa itself offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is large, comfortable and practical. Dining on the patio was a delight provided you did it early enough to avoid the bugs! The pool and garden are great. The pool is deep enough to swim and the right temperature to cool down. The villa even has snorkeling kit for you to use. The drive up is steep and bumpy but once you have done it once or twice it becomes part of the routine. The views driving up, or walking, are also wonderful. Staying at this part of the island is also definitely the right call unless you just want to fly and flop. There is so much to do at this end and we had the island largely to ourselves going in L late June/July. Soufriere itself is also worth a wonder around the market and visits to the local supermarket give a window on how local people live. The locals are warm and welcoming and proud of their island. At first it looks a bit run down and you might be asked for change, but this is part of the experience. If you intend to book things like Dolphin watching/ fishing/ snorkeling or hiking trips etc you are best to do it through Magic Man Adventures who have an office in town. We made the mistake of arranging a trip through a salesman we met at Anse Chasternet who turned out to be a middleman with no boat or assets and the boat that turned up was the water taxi which we could have booked ourselves for less. We subsequently booked with magic Man and the difference was notable. Most of what is on offer however you can arrange yourselves locally. Our kids climbed both Pitons and picked up guides at the bottom of both mountains on the day. You can visit most other places yourselves by getting a map and venturing about. We looked at loads of different villas and locations. We were delighted with the choices we made. The views are stunning, the villa is delightful, the staff are friendly and engaging and the location is ideal. We can't recommend this place enough. Enjoy!

Perfect Family Accomodation

I visited Cashew Villa with my partner (impending 50th birthday!) and two teenage children aged 16 and 18. This is a simply stunning property. The accommodation is very good indeed and I genuinely cannot imagine a Caribbean view that could be bettered. My family, both collectively and individually, spent hours over the week we stayed simply appreciating the beauty of the land/sky/sea-scape that surrounds the villa. The house is well equipped, and we wanted for nothing in that respect and (with that view) was for us the perfect place to relax and spend some genuine quality time with each other re-connecting, without the pressure of 'the grind'. We thus came away with a refreshed understanding of one another and renewed appreciation. Berthia and Nestor and very friendly and extremely helpful and gave us all a very warm welcome, which was very much appreciated. Chris and Joyce were extremely responsive and answered all of my questions quickly and in detail. As so many others have said the road up to the villa is 'interesting'. I'd say a 4wd is advisable but not strictly necessary as plenty of the local folks' use 2wd. What I would say is treat the road with respect, go as slowly as is sensible (as do other road users) and remember to use your horn to warn other on-coming drivers as you approach bends etc. so that there is plenty of time to negotiate sensible passing. We very much hope to return to Cashew Villa. If you book it you will not be disappointed.

What a view !!!!

Wow .... I must say, this has an amazing view of the ocean and the Pitons ! We, 2 couples, rented the upper portion with the kitchen, and the bedroom on the lower level that did not have a kitchen. Both had bathrooms, which is something we look for in a villa. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking, and has lots of dinnerware. The villa was clean, Berthia came in once while we stayed there for 3 nights. We also had her cook us a meal....ha ha..you would think she was cooking for twice as many people ! It was an excellent meal, I would recommend getting her to make you dinner some evening. We had her make it when she came to clean after the other renters downstairs left, then we warmed it up once we got back home. The villa could use a little tender loving care, but remember, you are not paying $300/night. I think this villa was very good value for your money. Loved the large deck with the dining table, and the deck beside the pool...you can watch the divers below. There are lots of towels, so no need to bring a beach towel, which is nice. The road to get there is typical St. Lucian....lots of twists and turns, has holes and rocks...no signs. Chris had given me directions to get there, but a little more detail would have been better....we stopped and asked several people that were walking on the roads, or I am not sure we would have found it. I highly recommend an SUV when driving any roads off of the highway, as they are not the best. From there, we drove to Anse Chastenet and Anse Mamin to snorkel and swim....very nice beach, some shade. We also did the Tet Paul Trail, the Diamond Botanical garden and Waterfall, the Sulphur Pools and Mudbath, a stop at Malgretoute Beach. We went into Soufriere to eat dinner one day and explore the town. Once you make a trip or two over the road, you get to know your way, and where the holes are in the road :) The villa is very peaceful...there are neighbours, but you don't see them at all because of the dense growth. The pool is wonderful, the landscaping beautiful !! I would recommend Cashew Villa, and would have no qualms going back there again...anyone with questions, feel free to contact me.

cashew villa in saint lucia

The view of the property is absolutely wonderful and it is worth renting the house for this reason. On another hand, the house is very basic, full of insects and cockroaches at night and in the morning which is not mentionned on the house review. The pool looked beautiful on the ad and despite cleaning efforts, the color of the water was green, we even had to wait for 24 hours so it could be cleaned completely ! The house is isolated and I would not recommend it to families. You need absolutely a 4 X 4 because the roads are in very bad condition

cashew villa

This villa must have one of the best views on the island and throughout our travels we did not find one quite as spectacular. Waking up and sitting on the balcony in the morning overlooking the beautiful waters of the carribean sea, the luscious green rainforests surrounding the incredible pitons. Regularly cleaned and pool well attended always in a comfortable state. Alvin and Berthia friendly with a helpful local knowledge. Definitely recommendable accomodation but be prepared for a steep climb up to the villa needing a 4 wheel drive however this is worth the effort as you can then have easier access to the local beach, with the best snorkeling on the island. Dissapointed with Camillas restaurant in Soufriere but would strongly recommend Dasheene resort restaurant as a must. Other must see attractions include the cocoa plantation, botanical gardens and the sulpher springs. Overall a fantastic stay.

Superb view and very tranquil

Having just arrived back from this wonderful villa, I feel i must say how nice and spacious Cashew Villa actually is, with the lovely touches of the owners artwork and a stunning view of the pitons and a 15 minute walk to the beach. I would like to thank Chris the owner for also coming along to see if there were any problems or anything needed doing, and also the housekeeper Berthia (an excellent cook - the best creole food we had there. better than the restaurants) I would advise hiring a car if you have a family though. But apart from that it is very clean and peaceful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would go back to cashew villa if i was thinking of staying in St lucia again. Adam

5 Stars – Unforgettable Stay at Cashew Villa!

We stayed at Cashew Villa from April 12–19, and it was nothing short of magical. The villa has the best views of the Pitons on the entire island — absolutely breathtaking! The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and fully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.A true highlight of our trip was the incredible house manager, Berthia. She was an absolute gem — warm, attentive, and so helpful. She prepared a couple of meals for us (for an extra charge), and they were delicious, some of the best food we had on the island. Berthia also helped coordinate transportation and made everything so seamless. She truly made our experience extra special. The private pool was pristine and perfectly positioned to soak in those iconic Piton views. Communication with the owners was excellent from start to finish. They even arranged airport transportation for us, which made arrival a breeze.Cashew Villa exceeded every expectation, and we would 100% stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious escape in St. Lucia!

One of the Best villa in st Lucia

Pictures can’t describe how beautiful is the view in real life. Our family of 5 went there mid February for a week and the villa had everything that we needed. Kids had a blast at the pool meanwhile me and my husband were enjoying the sunsets. There was Berthia that cooked for us delicious food twice (she was so sweet and nice). And Nestor security ,that made us feel so safe at the house (kids loved him so much) he was so friendly. The only thing that you will need is a 4x4 car. The roads were so rough and tight but for us that was very fun adventure. For sure I will go back again.

Unreal view of the Pitons and ocean with a great pool. Just what we were looking for!

My adult children and I loved our vacation at Cashew Villa! The view is truly magnificent (exactly as pictured) and the swimming pool was wonderful and kept perfectly tended by Nestor. As suggested by others, we asked Berthia to make her fabulous dinner of local recipes and her delicious rum punch for our first night there...an excellent way to celebrate our arrival! Also, after successfully and safely finding our way there and a full day of travel behind us, we were ready to stay put and relax! We ventured out to the grocery store the next day and there was everything we needed including charcoal for the grill at the villa, as well as liquor and wine. (An empty cupboard or two in the kitchen would be useful to store the food.) Cashew Villa is not a fancy place but it is very charming, comfortable and just what we were looking for! We played games and ate all our meals outside on the large porch table. We also were appreciative that beach towels were provided and for the snorkeling equipment available in the living room cupboard. There are several lovely beaches only a few minutes away which also have great food and drinks! In addition, Cashew Villa is located near many of the sights that we were interested in visiting on Saint Lucia. Our late afternoons were amazing at the pool...reading our books, having cocktails in the wonderful warm weather and watching the sunset. It was very hard to leave at the end of the week!

A View that We Will Never Forget

Cashew Villa was part of one our best vacations ever. Hard to imagine matching this view anywhere - so scenic every day, cool breezes, and enough water and sky activity kept us starved for more. The breeze through the villa was so soothing. The amazing pool was so clean with a perfect refreshing temperature. After a long day of travel, we had questions on if we would be able to find the place in the dark mountains. But Berthia and Nestor were outside waiting for us to arrive. They did a fantastic job making us feel at home - thank you!!!There's a lot written about the road to Cashew Villa, but we loved it - a bit of a challenge first time up in the dark but it just added to the adventure the entire trip. So many places we visited that were top notch: Project Chocolate, the Treetop Restaurant, Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Gros Islet Street Party, Vigie Beach, Pigeon Island Beach all were so worthwhile. Don't miss the Naked Fisherman especially for Sunday live music. Anse Mamin is now one of our favorite beaches ever - especially for its solitude and jungle backdrop. Finally, don't be discouraged by so many critical comments online regarding access to Sugar Beach. While lunch at Bonte was a bit pricey, the food was outstanding and provided our ticket back to our car. How can you beat open air dining beach side? We spent the rest of the day soaking up the sun, a fun beach vibe, and the calm bay waters. Sunset topped off the best beach day ever.

Great view but villa has been neglected!

Check in with Berthia went well. The meal she made was very good. The view is outstanding. However, the villa is showing neglect. It needs general maintenance. In addition, the coffee maker was full of mold. We found rodent dropping on the counter and cabinets in the kitchen. Also, found them in the master bedroom. But, even more troubling, there was evidence of rodents in our luggage. I contacted the owners before writing this review to alert them to this problem. Not sure if they took it seriously. They suggested that leaving food out will attract rodents but, as I told them, we left nothing out. Overall, the villa could use an overhaul. Screens would help at night because there is no air conditioning and the fans aren't doing the job. The owners offered me money back, but I declined because that wasn't the purpose of my complaints. I hope they give this matter serious consideration and take action. If they choose not to, I can not recommend staying there.

Paradise

A beautiful and very private villa perched on the top of a hillside with what must be the BEST view on the island! We loved everything about this rental villa! Nice flow to the house, great outdoor living areas, the pool was wonderful and refreshing in the heat, the gardens around the villa are mature, unique and filled with friendly birds and at the heart of it all was that amazing Cashew tree! Berthia and Nestor were both helpful and kind and my husband is still raving about how good Berthias Creole fish and broth was!

Amazing Piton views

We had a wonderful stay at Cashew Villa. The views were second to none. The pool was the perfect temp. The linens were soft. Everything was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. Berthia was lovely. She cooked an amazing meal that lasted for days and gave us advice on where to visit. She kept the house very clean. Hector also was lovely and a friendly face to come "home" to. The road was steep but manageable. As mentioned in other reviews it was 80 degrees at night which is a little out of my comfort zone for sleeping but the fans made it mostly bearable. Overall it was an amazing stay and I highly recommend it!

Spectacular!

JUST WOW! My family and I were fortunate enough to enjoy a week in paradise at the Cashew Villa this summer. As an active family bitten by wanderlust, we seek adventures and beauty off the beaten path...and boy, did this property deliver! We took in the absolutely stunning views of the Pitons, a vista that never ceased to amaze. The property is nestled high up on a hillside and, I am certain, offers the best views on the island. As an amateur photographer, I am was thrilled to capture some gorgeous time lapse videos overlooking the Pitons. We greatly enjoyed the privacy and this property was the perfect way to both begin and end our daily St. Lucian adventures. While in St. Lucia, we enjoyed horseback riding, a helicopter flight, a St. Lucian food tour, a land and sea boat tour, the Tet Paul Nature Trail, a visit to Grand Eden Estates, and relaxing on the black sand beaches nearby. The grounds of the property were immaculate and kept by an equally kind and welcoming groundskeeper/guard, Nestor. Nestor was wonderful with our two children, ages 8 and 6, and really made our stay special and memorable! We were also lucky enough to hire Miss Berthia to cook us two delicious and traditional St. Lucian meals. The portions she prepared were very generous and lasted us for several meals. She also had our fridge stocked upon arrival with some essentials to get us started. The pool was perfect and our children enjoyed daily swims. Truly thankful for our best stay yet!

Great view

We loved our stay. Had a great view and we really loved the pool. If staying here, be prepared to see bugs. We had ants and a cockroach in our bed the first night. This is an open home so it’s bound to happen. If you’re afraid of moths, this is not the house for you. I will say, the high smell of moth balls was unpleasant. We couldn’t close the doors because of it. The property manager Mrs. B is Great and the security guard Nester was nice to have around the whole time! Both were extremely friendly and helped us out. Mrs.B showed us to the grocery store and Nester helped us locate clothes on a Sunday after delta lost our luggage. There are no air conditioned areas or TVs so be prepared for that. But trust me when I say, the views and pool make up for it. It’s close to the beach down at Anse Chastanet which was our favorite. Highly recommend staying here if you’re a lover of the outdoors.

Cashew Villa

Our stay at Cashew Villa was excellent. We were there for a week. The view is breath taking as stated by the host. We were there when hurricane Beryl came through and the host, groundskeeper (Nestor), and housekeeper (Berthia) made sure we were safe and taken care of. The road to the house is steep but you get used to it very quickly. Overall it was a great stay and we would stay here again!

Must Stay!!

We had a wonderful time. Berthia and Nester's hospitality and friendly vibe made us feel at home immediately. Berthia’s dinner and rum punch are worth it and was flavorful authentic creole meal. The Villa is situated in a tranquil area and offers amazing views of the Pitons and is close by sugar beach, hotel Chocolat, hiking the pitons, diamond falls, the drive-in volcano and sulfur springs. We did it all and had time to enjoy peace and relaxation at the Villa. After hiking Gros Piton, tranquility and remote beauty was a must and we felt guilty for being so spoiled and taken care of at the Villa. We highly recommend and cannot wait to come back and hope to see Nester and Ms B again. We will always cherish the fond memories built in our time staying at the Villa and visiting St Lucia. We cooked many meals at the villa and had ample room with our three boys 11, 14 &17). Make sure you have a SUV to get to the villa, the drive is certainly challenging and having a two wheel drive vehicle will leave you frustrated. Pool was fantastic and the deck was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. We felt safe the whole time we were at the villa (and driving around for that matter). We left most of the doors and windows open all night for the cross breeze to keep the house cool. Fantastic place! One Love!!
