Holiday in Lauterbrunnen

A clean, comfortable apartment with a welcoming host and family. Only a 15 minute walk from the station but the host picked us up when we arrived.

Lovely stay!

The accomodation was very cosy! We stayed for four nights over Christmas. It is well furnished - the kitchen had all the utensils that we needed to cook and the bed is very comfortable. The mountains are right at the doorstep. We got slightly lost on the way there as it is up on a hill, but once we figured it out its not a problem. Christine and her family are lovely and offered to drive us to the station when leaving. We would highly recommend.

Great place to stay!

Compact apartment thoughtfully arranged/fitted out.Quiet location with spectacular views of the Staubach Falls, valley & mountains, particularly from the terrace/sitting area.Great welcome from the Franke family, who collected us from the station on arrival and departure, perfect hosts. We'd love to return again.

A little piece of paradise!

What a fantastic experience we have had staying with the Franke family at their Lauterbrunnen apartment! The location is perfectly placed for both public transport as well as driving access to all of the sights you would want to visit during your stay. The view directly from the apartment is incredible also. What makes the stay extra special and worth every penny is the warmth and friendliness by the Franke family who are ever present but from a distance so as to not be intrusive at all. We enjoyed speaking with them all and playing with little Mia (their 3mth puppy) during our trip! The apartment comes exactly as described with every little detail well thought out. We would not hesitate in staying here again and will be recommending it to all our friends and family!

Beautiful apartment with stunning views.

Lovely apartment with super views over Lauterbrunnen and the surrounding mountains. The apartment was warm, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The Franke family were so welcoming and were very kind to collect us fron the train station on arrival and also bring us back on departure. The apartment is very well situated for exploring the Jungfrau region. We would definitely recommend this apartment and we would have no hesitation in returning.

Perfect view!

We had a great time here - the view from the patio across to the falls is perfect. Location wise it’s only a 10 minute walk to the station so was perfect for us. The property was very clean and the hosts very friendly - they even picked us up from the station when we arrived

Fantastic location, clean and snug apartment. All you need for a great holiday in Lauterbrunnen!

Clean, functional apartment situated overlooking the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Well equipped and snug..all you need for a holiday stay. One single bedroom and double fold away bed in kitchen/ living area holds 3 people comfortably, but not much space to store luggage in main living area.Lovely seating area outside, through patio doors leading from kitchen/diner. Good shower with plenty of hot water. Overall, a great holiday apartment with warm welcoming hosts.

Extremely pleasant stay with friendly hosts and perfect location

Organising to stay here was one of the great successes of our trip. The location was perfect with a free 5 minute shuttle bus to the station, and a fabulous view of Lauterbrunnen. Christin and her Husband were wonderful hosts and even kindly gave us a lift to and from the station on our arrival/departure. We highly recommend this place to stay!

Lovely and generous hosts, comfortable apartment and a beautiful place to be

As soon as we met Kristin we felt at home. Very warm and welcoming and happy to help in any way they can. Lauterbrunnen is a fantastic place to stay. For us it was like being in wonderland; very picturesque, friendly and above all peaceful this time of year. The apartment is well furnished and equipped and the view is simply superb. We will go back again, any time of the year.

Great place to stay in Lauterbrunnen

We spent two weeks in this apartment in July and had a great time. We found the listing and photographs gave us an accurate picture of what to expect. The well equipped apartment is compact, but has all you need to self cater as we do and offers great value for money compared to other properties in the area. The fold down bed is very comfortable and easy to put away during the day. The use of the patio area with amazing views up the valley is an added bonus for fine weather and we made good use of the garden furniture provided. The owners were very kind, collecting us from the station and taking us back at the end of our stay. We have never experienced with any holiday rentals before and that was much appreciated. The walk to and from the station took about 10 minutes or so, taking the path down beside the carpentry workshop and the little high bridge which leads across the river and into the station. On the couple of occasions it rained we took the bus for a couple of stops. We would happily return to stay here and hope to do so.

Superb holiday apartment.

This holiday apartment is on the ground floor of a proper Swiss house. It was immaculate, spotlessly clean and very warm. We were very grateful to Cristin for meeting us at the station as it is a reasonable walk - mostly uphill! We felt very fit by the end of our week. The apartment is in an ideal spot to explore Lauterbrunnen and the surrounding area. We bought Swiss rail passes and made full use of them visiting Murren, Wengen, Interlaken, Lausanne ( with a boat trip) Zurich and then back to Geneva. So much to see and do that we will have to return again soon. Lots of places to eat in the village but my top recommendation is the Jungfrau campsite - good value ( for Switzerland), lively atmosphere, excellent food - large portions.

Cosy modern apartment

A cosy modern apartment situated in a large house occuppied by the friendly proprietor and family. The apartment is modern with a good range of kitchen equipment, two single pull down beds in the main room, a single bedroom and a small toilet/shower room.Everything was very clean. You also get a dedicated patio area directly opposite the Staubbach falls and with views up the valley to snowy peaks. The location is 10 minutes walk to the centre of Lauterbrunnen, its station and the Co-Op which is well stocked for self caterers. You can walk up the valley for 40 minutes to Trummelbach falls and a little further to the Schilithorn cable car. The three of us who stay at the apartment had an enjoyable relaxing time for the week we were there.

We had a great time staying with the Franke's family. The apartment was neet and clean and had a great view of the falls across the valley floor. The Franke's picked us up at the train station, and returned us to the station when we departed. The apartment is a short walk to the main business district. There is a Co-Op grocery, a bakery and a butcher. The rail station is about 1 mile, and the local bus has a stop close to the apartment. Plenty to see in the area.

Best View of Lauterbrunnen

We were amazed with how beautiful the view from the house was. I would definitely stay here again when we come back in Jungfrao.I feel that the amenities and things available in the house were carefully thought about and were very considerate. There was a fondue set, swiss mugs, warm snuggly blanket, chairs and table outside the house which has the direct view of the falls, mountains, church and the other chalets which are beautiful anytime of the day. Thank you Franke’s family for sharing your place to us. It was a lovely experience!

Wonderful apartment in Lauterbrunnen!

I spent a week at this apartment and it was a magical experience. The hosts were welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. They picked us up and dropped us off at the train station so we didn’t have to carry our suitcases through the village. The rooms were clean and inviting, with a fully functional kitchen and WiFi. Also, the views are even better in person.We had an amazing stay at this apartment and it will be our go-to when visiting Lauterbrunnen.

Schöner Kurzurlaub

Immer wieder!
