Fabulous villa holiday in beautiful Phuket

Wow! What an incredible 9 days in this wonderful villa, within walking distance to both Surin & BangTao beaches.Everything about the villa, the organisation, the rooms, the communication from our host and the wonderful housekeeping service was designed to make this the best family holiday we’ve been on.Khun Sa the housekeeper is an absolute gem who made the stay so relaxing and perfect. She was incredibly helpful without being intrusive and her home cooked Thai meals (we booked her for dinner at the villa twice during our stay) and beautifully prepared breakfasts were the best meals we had during our 2 week trip to Thailand.I couldn’t recommend this villa enough!Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay!

Fabulous

The Lanterns villa located on the west coast of Phuket has recieved many positive reviews before, deservedly so. What really makes this property standout from all the rest is the wonderful housekeeper Khun-Sa. It's been stated many times before but she just makes the stay all the more special and we can't thank her enough. Not much more I can add to this review other than to say that if you've booked (or are about to book) have a fabulous time, we certainly did.

Absolutely perfect. House manager Sa is an angel, who could not possibly have done any more from booking many events to organising in-house massages for our family. The property is exactly as advertised, peaceful, spacious and lovely. Only thing is a 15 min walk to the beach.

Best Villa Experience

We cannot express our gratitude for Khun Sa! She made our stay incredibly luxurious with her five star culinary skills and overall attentive care. The rooms were always kept clean and tidy, and the pool area was most relaxing. Khun Sa was always around to ensure we had everything we needed and more! We would definitely love to return.

Lovely villa, offers every amenity you need for your stay. Very clean & well maintained including pool & garden area. Khun Sa made the trip, an absolute ray of sunshine who went above and beyond. The food she made for our party was some of the best we have ever eaten. Hope to return

Wonderful !

We loved this property so much we didnt want to leave, and want to come back again asap. It, and the housekeeper Sa, are wonderful and it was perfect for us. Ok, a small walk to get to town but really very easy and taxis are readily available. Can't recommend highly enough.

Villa Heaven

The Lanterns was everything we hoped for and Khun Sa was the cherry on top. Easy walking access to both Surin and BangTao beach and also to bars restaurants and convenience shops. Rural and quiet location but safe. Dinner/breakfast in the villa was an excellent choice but plenty of choice if you wanted to go out. We would come back time and time again🙏

The villa exceed our expectations. From when we first booked the villa Fiona was very accommodating and maintained communication throughout. Khun SA was magnificent. She could not have done more for us. We hope to return one day for a longer stay.

Fabulous pool villa

Really enjoyed our stay as a family at this villa. It's a great property and perfect for a relaxing holiday. All the rooms are spacious and the decoration is very tasteful. The location is also very good, close to beaches and plenty of good restaurants in walking distance. Khun Sa was extremely friendly and very helpful if we needed anything. I can definitely recommend a stay at this beautiful property.

Wonderful stay!

We went as a family of 8 (incl two kids) to celebrate our mothers 70 years birthday. Lovely house, great pool and of course Khun Sa - she made us feel so welcomed and cooked the best thaifood you could ever imagine! She also helped us to arrange trips and our mothers celebration and everything with a big smile and genuine kindness. We would love to come back some day and can really recommend this property with all of our hearts!

Very very nice compact villa

This villa is lovely and very comfortable. We were a couple and 2 singles and it was perfect. The rooms are not very large, so no real room for extra people but luxurious and comfortable for up to 3 couples. The housekeeper was a fantastic cook - and we really know Thai food. This part of Phuket (and maybe all Phuket) looks to be developing very fast but this villa is in a nice quiet spot. Recommended.

Total paradise , an amazing family holiday location

What an amazing stay ! The villa itself is perfect, close enough to everything you could wish for on a family holiday. Khun Sa is an absolute credit to the villa, she couldn’t do enough for us , but also gave the right level of privacy. My two daughters (2 & 3 years old) warmed to Khun Sa very quickly. The facilities in the villa are brilliant, WiFi very quick, and actually , we did have an issue with it, however there was an engineer round 20 mins after us noticing and letting Khun Sa know. I recommend getting Khun sa to cook, and the breakfasts and smoothies were fabulous. There is so much to see and do in the surrounding areas. Strongly recommend staying here - you won’t be disappointed ! Thanks again to Fiona for the great communication.

Definitely au revoir

I hesitate to give The Lanterns a glowing review - because it'll mean it's fully booked next time we want to come! Firstly the property - sumptuous. There a sense of space and tranquillity, it really is as nice as the photographs suggest. We had a few BBQ's with friends over and it's a lovely place to spend time. Secondly the location – ideal. Peaceful whilst close to lovely beaches where cheap food and sunbeds are readily available. If you don't want to walk, then it's only 100Baht in a TukTuk -you are on holiday after all. Then at night, you can relax in the villa, one of the many low-key bars and restaurants or put on some glam rags and splash out on a night in one of the up market venues (eg. Palm Seaside). Then there's the whole Laguna area with a wonderful Golf course (quite a lot of water!) and Fri night market. Finally Khun Sa - if this lovely lady could do more to make your holiday any better, I've yet to think if it.

Lovely villa, ideal for groups.

Really liked the villa. It was kept well and had everything we needed. The pool was lovely and warm. The lady who cleaned was lovely. Very friendly and helpful. The middle bedroom would benefit from having a safe and full length mirror as compared to the other two rooms this one did feel less well equipped. It was hard to find the villa with many taxi drivers needing to ask directions. This lead us to think that we were much further out than we actually were and as a result we spent a lot of money relying on taxis to get to the town and beach when in fact it is completely within walking distance.i think that could have been made clearer as we also found the taxis can charge anything they want. Overall really good week at the villa. Some good places to eat and lovely beaches nearby and the little Sawsadee restaurant around the corner was our best find.

Fabulous!

I never have been stay like this accommodation. I and my friends were amazed and admired by the villa when we first entered there. The villa is same with the pictures. no exaggerated. Fiona was very kind and replied quickly, and Khun sa offered excellent service to us. We hope to go again this villa, and miss here and Khun sa. I strongly recommend to stay here.

Fantastic Experience

Our stay at the Lanterns Villa was wonderful, from the excellent service to the beautiful pool and garden, we enjoyed and created memorable moments in this stunningly beautiful, well-maintained villa. Beyond the beauty of the property, we couldn't have hoped for a better experience with the help received from Khun Sa and the connection made with her graciousness and kindness. She went out of her way to ensure an enjoyable experience for us, from buying delicious papaya salad and fried chicken with sticky rice upon our arrival to preparing breakfast. The hospitality truly enhanced our experience. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an tranquil escape. Tany Teas-Lim

Fantastic villa and hospitality

Our holiday was a special treat for our family – 2 adults and 4 children. The experience of staying at the Lanterns was out of this world – wonderful. Booking online was easy and although apprehensive about our big trip, all worries were soon taken away from the moment we landed in Phuket. Transfer to and from the airport was organised by Fiona and Adrian, we were welcomed at The Lanterns by Khun Sa and our stay was just amazing. It is a beautiful villa, very safe and we were extremely well catered and cared for by the brilliant Khun Sa. She was our angel who provided as much as you wanted – gorgeous food, arrangement of car hire, did our laundry etc. We never had to ask for anything – everything was done `as if by magic’ – making our stay so happy, relaxed and luxurious. The villa is extremely well maintained, very comfortable and such a treat that you could spend all your days there, but we chose to hire a car and explore the beauty of the island and experience the culture and kindness of the people. Nearest beaches are a 10 minute walk and there are plenty of local places to eat and drink. We absolutely loved our time here and would love to return one day – especially if Khun Sa is part of the package!

Beautiful Villa + Khun Sa Makes This Unbeatable

This villa is as beautiful as you see in the photos but the housekeeper (much more than that - super-talented chef and caring soul) Khun Sa makes this villa unforgettable. Anything Thai, Khun Sa can cook and will go out of her way to get the ingredients (gorgeous large prawns!), she made sure we were stocked up on beer and water, provided gifts for family and friends, washed clothes and tidied up after us all week long. Sa is an angel and The Lanterns is heaven. We would love to return tomorrow!

Fabulous holiday at the Lanterns

The transfer from the airport was smooth, we arrived at the villa and where very impressed, it was clean and spacious, location was perfect 5 mins walk from the nearest beach with many restaurants and bars. We hired a motorbike to get supplies when needed. We travelled with 2 3 year old children they loved it the pool was perfect for them, would recommend this villa for families very peaceful and relaxing. The housekeeper was very good and did our cleaning and washing daily, she will also cook for you and help prepare meals. Can highly recommend this villa, we have friends that have booked already for next year. Dom

Breathtaking Villa

We have just returned from the most wonderful 10 days at The Lanterns Villa. Initially I was a little nervous booking a villa on line but having read the reviews decided to go for it. From the start the communication from Adrian and Fiona was fantastic and the booking simple. We were collected from the airport in a fabulous air conditioned taxi and arrived to a wonderful greeting from Khun Sa, the housekeeper, and the most delicious homemade supper. The villa is even more beautiful than it looks on the website and Khun Sa is the icing on the cake. She made such an incredible effort to make our holiday special and nothing was too much trouble, from booking taxis to making dinner reservations. Her breakfasts are legendary. The villa is a short walk from both Surin and Bang Tao beaches with plentiful restaurant within easy walking distance. We highly recommend Riverside and Tik. We only hope that we will be able to return very soon.

A fantastic villa - what a great holiday!

From the beginning the booking of the villa was seamless - both Fiona and Adrian were fantastic and were always in contact when required. When we arrived at the airport the transfer was waiting for us and the whole experience was smooth. We were greeted at the house by Khun Sa and given a tour of the villa. What a fantastic villa - 3 very large bedrooms all with ensuites. We loved that the living room and kitchen was separate to the bedrooms as it gave more privacy for everyone. Khun Sa made us breakfast every day and helped enormously with our two children. She is just fantastic. Surin is fantasic - as is Bang Tao. Our favourite beach was Layan - absolutely stunning. We rented a car so it wasn't too hot for the kids being outside all the time and it was great to the explore the area. Lots of great restaurants and delivery available to the villa too. The pictures on the website and also Home Away are very accurate and we were really happy with our stay! We hope to visit again!
