A drive for several cars leads to the front door of self-catering Villa AL BAHR. There are a total of 4 bedrooms - 3 twin bedrooms (two of which with an en suite bathroom), and an additional single bedroom.

Entering the hallway, an archway and 3 steps lead into the lounge with access to a terrace, with a superb view of the ocean. Beyond the lounge, is the dining room that sits 8, with sea views all around.

Outside, there is covered dining terrace, with ocean views where you can enjoy a romantic/family dinner while watching the beautiful and colourful sunset. This terrace leads to the fenced free-form private pool - which can be heated upon request, and at an additional cost - with a fresh water shower, and a barbecue to one side.

The 800m2 garden invites you to sunbathe, relax and take it all in. It is full of colourful and native plant, as well as shrubs.

House cleaning will take place once a week (for stays longer than 7 nights).

Air conditioning/heating at no extra cost. Satellite TV and free high speed Wifi.

A traditional Portuguese family villa in an outstanding location for everyone to enjoy. Exquisite, and most definitely a dream(y) vacation house!

Best location in Carvoeiro
The pool was excellent and unusually large. We had it heated which just made it perfect. The naya was perfectly placed to sit and relax out of the sun, but still have a great view. The villa was nice and spacious although to be honest we spent little time inside. The beds were comfortable enough and the showers were nicely powerful. The villa manager Fran was very nice and helpful. I short its an excellent villa and thoroughly recommended

What a charming villa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - sitting by the pool with the ocean view you can feel like a VIP for a short while. It is everything the pictures show and the 5* reviews are well deserved. The only thing I would ask for is more mugs/cups for tea and coffee - but there are enough glasses for an army!!! It is so well placed for walking into town, the beach or the slightly out of centre restaurants. We parked the car up and only used it for the supermarket! We had a couple of minor questions and the owners responded straight away. it’s a fantastic family home that our family were privileged to share - thank you so much and I hope we can visit again soon.

Beautiful spacious villa set on a large plot with the most stunning views! We’ve been coming to Carvoeiro for 9 years and have admired this villa on many occasions during our walks along the boardwalk, so were delighted to be able to stay in it. Well equipped villa full of character, just a short stroll from restaurants and other amenities. Communication from the owners was first class. We absolutely would return to Villa Al Bahr!

Best location in town, panoramic sea views, bars, restaurant and beach a short walk but still quiet and peaceful. Plenty of inside and outside space and we all loved our holiday! Age range 3 years to 63. Pool is fantastic, villa is well equipped. Carvoeiro beautiful as always.

Perfect family holiday
Villa Al Bahr is in a stunning location, alongside the boardwalk in Carvoeiro, and only a short, and very pleasant walk from the town and the beach. It has everything you could want for a perfect family holiday. We were four adults and two young children (6 & 4). The pool, which we had heated, is fantastic and the villa has plenty of space so you never feel on top of one another. Plenty of good restaurants within easy walking distance and, important when you have young children, the Portuguese eat early in the evening! The villa is all on one level, other than 3 steps down into the lounge, and is suitable for guests with minor mobility issues.

The pool is amazing - pictures don't do it justice! The property is well located and well resourced. It seems like a well-loved family home rather than a minimalist, modern villa. We loved it and had a fabulous time!

Our family holiday stay at villa al bahr, exceeded all expectations. The villa is in a perfect location, with panoramic sea views from most areas of the villa. The villa & grounds are very spacious, the pictures on the website, although great, could show off the property even more, with some additional pictures. ( pics of terraced areas, flower borders, swimming pool lit at night, etc ) We would defiantly return to villa al bahr. It was perfect for our special family holiday. perfect for

Excellent Location!
Stayed here as a family of 6 (2 of which being children aged 4 and 1) Pros - location is absolutely brilliant, just off the main hill with majority of shops and restaurants however perfectly positioned on the hill side and the view is OUTSTANDING! Size - property is good size with large living area. All on one level (accept 3 steps to bedrooms, this was handy with kids) Cleanliness- very clean property, only rated 4 stars as bedrooms seemed slightly damp however after speaking with other people renting other properties this appears to be a common thing in villas when the weather was wet (it rained for days prior to our arrival) Pool- amazing, we paid extra for it to be heated and well worth it! Great view of sea and good size. Clean also! Hosts and Instructions for Arrival and Departure - OUTSTANDING! Could not fault them at all! Fran was brilliant in answering questions, supplying cot and baby seat. They were very accommodating offering an early check in and slightly later check out to accommodate flight times. Instructions were clear and accurate. Property has space for multiple cars to be parked on long drive way. Property is secure. Negatives - wish we had stayed longer! Possibly wish for more of a grassed area for children (this is very minor!) Would stay here again without question! Thank you!

Wonderful holiday in carvoeiro
We were all delighted with the villa. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The pool was also fantastic. However it is the location which really makes this villa outstanding with simply incredible views.

Beautiful villa and holiday
The Villa and pool area are pleasant and spacious. The views across the ocean are gorgeous and it is a short walk down to the square. There are lots of lovely restaurants in walking distance and a shop for essentials. The only improvement we could think of would be to provide a welcome pack such as water, tea bags and milk. Thank you for a lovely holiday; we hope to return.

The villa was just right for us all, it’s location just out of town and near Algar Seca was great. The air con was excellent as it was 35deg plus all week and the pool was much used. 10/10 - we’ll be back.

Magnificent Location !
Not many better views , or overall locations in the world. Everything handy (incl brilliant restaurants) and a beautiful walk into the town centre along the boardwalk. Once more a lovely holiday was had in this Villa.

Beautiful sunsets
Although it has been very difficult to get to travel this year it was a lovely holiday. We were lucky enough to stay at the villa about four years ago and arranged to go again for my husband’s special birthday about eighteen months ago. Covid stopped us and this was the fourth attempt to get here. José met us and promptly went through some details and keys and the cleaner did a very thorough job too. Perfect sunny weather Fabulous pool but a bit cold for me, comfortable sun beds. The outlook is gorgeous, sea is very close. It’s wonderful to just lie/sit and look out to sea. Very relaxing. Three spacious comfortable bedrooms all with twin beds and a bathroom to each room. New Shower very spacious! Lots of comfy seating in the living area, kitchen with everything you could ask for. Home is very well equipped. Lots of contact with owner due to cancellations, very helpful and accommodating. Thank you, a super property in a lovely area with some great restaurants locally. Beautiful, spacious, well equipped villa with stunning views and a great pool. Excellent pre-trip communications with the owner, Luis. I would highly recommend this villa , it had everything we could possibly need.
