We had a 17 night stay at the villa …we got back home to the UK Saturday just gone …Arrived at the villa around 10pm Tuesday 12th July …was text the entry number to front door which was fine …the next morning we notice handle to kitchen sliding doors was broke from outside ( which agent must have been aware of as a handyman turned up to fix) which was great until we went to look up that evening! The handy man had drilled a massive screw through so the latch couldn’t move up be locked …wasn’t a happy bunny as had to leave unlocked all night and as a mother with 3 kids with her made for a very restless night .
My husband and dad had to take handle off from inside and remove screw for it to lock .The TV wouldn’t work either so carried on messaging agents ..I believe Kevin turned up on Thursday for meet and greet ! He changed cable on tv which was lovely as missed having tv in evening…Villa itself is lovely very close to shops,Bars and restaurants could do with a little TLC more so outside there’s a few lose and uneven tiles around pool not good for older visitors …was told they need the pool area clear for 24hrs to fix lose tiles properly (then this should be done between rentals as I’m not the first review to mention them) could do with a few extra lights other side of pool was quite dark out there .
3 days in and filter and pump stopped working in pool it started Turing green ! When we managed to get hold of one of the agents we was told pool guy will be with you by end of the day ( he didn’t turn up ) So I stopped dealing with Kevin and rung Gino …. The pool guy turned up the day after …so we had no pool for 2/3 days …pump was changed and had no problems after that apart from the friendly rather large Iguana that started pooing in the pool ( which nothing could be done about Unfortunately ) apparently Florida are over run with them we did find Ace hardware shop 2 mins down the road and bought some Repellent to spray around back hedges and some extra chlorine for the pool as iguana pool carriers a lot of Bacteria and stuff ! Apart from these few hiccups in first few days we enjoyed our stay at the villa ..Beds were very comfortable and there’s plenty of towels,sheets and bed covers ..Aircon was great in the villa as it was so 85/90 the whole holiday .
