Hand crafted kitchen, new stainless steel appliances microwave, american fridge freezer with gas cooker, granite work tops, breakfast bar seating for 6 looking over the pool, ceiling fans in every room. Veey spacious and lovely villa in peaceful location.

Set up high above the Oistins area is the really lovely villa, equipped with everything you need including huge comfy beds,large bathrooms and a super infinity pool with wrap around terrace for sunbathing, dining or just wstching the monkeys & humming birds.

Thanksgiving in Barbados

We've visited Barbados many times, and this is one of the very best trips I can remember. This villa is 10 out of 10 across the board! We were three friends and all had our own room and en suite. All the furnishings are lovely and everything works (lights, fans, AC units, kitchen appliances, deck chairs and loungers, TVs, pool is brilliant, etc...) Mags is an awesome host. The only hiccup we had was a clogged shower drain, which was sorted within an hour and did not reoccur. The location is perfect in our opinion with access to the whole South Coast and easy connection to the highway if you want to venture up the West coast or East for the day. Villa is perched on a ridge with a lovely sea view, a nice breeze all day, and is located in a cul-du-sac so no through traffic. Closer to the airport than I thought it would be- but we had no noise from planes at all. One of the best value for money places I've seen in over 12 visits to the island!

Beautiful, well-appointed property

Our favourite place, without question, to stay in Barbados. My husband has been coming to Barbados for 35 years (I have been coming with him for the past 7) and we both agree this house is our favourite. The owner has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We will be returning as often as we can! We both believe, you ideally should have a car to get around though (get groceries, restaurants, etc), but it is a spectacular home.

Lovely Stay

The location of the villa is not as listed on Vrbo. It is close to the airport so you require a car to visit Oistins and the rest of the island. Oistins is an hour walk not 11 minutes as stated in the listing. Miami Beach and The Parish Church are also a lengthy walk from the Villa. We had a car, but it would have been nice not to have to drive into Oistins for the fish fry as location was a factor in our choice of the villa. This aside, the villa met all our expectations, was well equipped and had a lovely pool area with an amazing outlook. A great base for exploring the island. The owner responded quickly to all our questions and had many recommendations of what to do during our stay.

Lovely property, well maintained and very welcoming owner. The property is not close to too many activities or restaurants etc so a car is essential but great if you want to get away from the crowds. Would thoroughly recommend if you enjoy seclusion and self sufficiency.

Wonderful

Perfect as pictures . Location with views over to the sea was so peaceful and relaxing loved sitting out on the front verianda at night with the palm trees blowing and tropical sounds . Location perfect away from hustle n bustle but a short car journey as 10min away when you wont to join in with the locals and tourist. Do visit local rum bars we had best time with locals. Margaret is a mind of information and happy to help and Andrew is a star with taxi runs and tours with local spots you may not find . You will not be disappointed with either location accommodation host locals or Barbados as a destination . Thank you all for a fab and memorable time jane

Fabulous, spacious villa

The villa is very spacious, clean and has everything you require for your stay including A/C in all the bedrooms. There is a large gas BBQ and the outdoor area is great at any time of the day with the lovely breeze. The wildlife is varied - monkeys, horses & a pig. We chose not to rent a car, instead using taxis or walking 10 minutes to 'Mike's Minimart' at the bottom of the hill to catch the very frequent no. 11 ZR towards Bridgetown (mini music bus - flat rate 3.50BB$). On the way home one night, the driver even detoured to take us to the top of the hill as it was quite late. Margaret is a fantastic host and nothing was too much trouble and she went out of her to make sure that we that we were looked after. The villa, host, island and Bajan people are all wonderful. We would definitely recommend a holiday here. We are a family of four (teenagers 18 & 15).

Perfect holiday home

We stayed for 2 weeks as an adult family of 5, we were greeted by the host, wow just as good as the images. The three bedrooms were spacious and well equipped, loads of wonderful soft towels were supplied that we used for the amazing infinity pool. All of the home (especially the kitchen) was so well equipped and easy to use. (Couldn't work the oven though but we felt it was well situated as long as you hire a car as you need to drive to an accessible beach really. The wifi was great and easy to access, this home is big enough for 6 adults easily and is a treat to be in the pool watching hummingbirds on the flowers next to the pool in the morning. Due to covid we were worried there wasn't a good cancellation policy but ran the risk anyway, it was worth the risk as this is a gem and made our holiday that much more enjoyable as we ate at home most of the time in the evenings due to the curfew in place at 9pm. The host lives in an apartment below as was on hand for anything we needed but didn't once complain about our loud music or late night swims but it made us feel secure that the property was looked after whilst we were out. If your trying to choose a holiday home for your trip this won't disappoint you as it has all you could want.

The owner was. Excellent. She met us at the Airport and took our wives and baggage to the Villa while we fetched the hire car at the Airport desk. Fantastic villa with spectacular view

We really enjoyed our stay at the villa. This home is beautiful, spacious, modern, nicely decorated, comfortable with everything one needs. Nice pool and stunning view! Margaret is a great hostess, the best! Very helpful and thoughtful, meeting us on arrival and giving us good tips for our stay. A car is needed, but you can manage without renting one as the taxi service is excellent. A short drive away you will have stunning beaches , restaurants, supermarkets etc. We would return anytime.

Home from Home in Paradise

We stayed here for xmas and New Year to escape the hustle and bustle of xmas at home and that is exactly what we did.The Villa and location were superb for us Villa had all mod cons,big comfortable beds and all the comforts of home.The location was a bit out of the way but that was part of the charm,we looked forward to early mornings when the horses and monkeys and sometimes the goats came to feed in the fields close by.It was a Wow moment when we first arrived and the pool and view were laid out in front of us-Amazing..Margaret was there to meet us and took us to the local shop for supplies and organised car hire for our first week.The second week we used Taxis that were very reasonable.We found car hire in barbados very expensive at £384 for 1 week.We had some good recommendations from Margaret for places to visit.The highlight being New Years Eve at Radisson Hotel .Great Food,Entertainment and fireworks at Midnight..The location of the villa and pool on a ridge made it wonderfully cool and sometimes we couldn't wait to get back from our trips out to cool down on patio.We had a fabulous holiday and went home feeling very relaxed and would go back to same villa in a heartbeat

Wonderfully accommodating villa.

Even before we got there the owner, Margaret, was eager to find out if we needed to hire a car, or needed airport transfer to the villa or even if we needed her to get us some shopping in, just to get us started. That alone was very thoughtful & very much appreciated. That interest in our comfort continued with us exchanging contact details on our 1st meeting when she welcomed us to the villa so that we could contact her if we had any problems or she could contact us if there was any house maintenance due, eg. pool cleaning or maid service. The villa is exactly as depicted in the photos, but even more stunning when you actually see it for yourself 1st hand. The open plan style ment it was spacious & most of all cool. We couldn't get over how cool it was. We had the benefit of being up on a hill, looking down over a valley which ment there was nothing in front of us blocking our view & nothing to block the wonderfully cooling sea breeze. The decor, & amenities were very modern & stylish. I must say that Margaret has furnished the villa with you're comfort in mind. It really was somewhere you could relax, chill out & enjoy your vacation. There were little touches that Margaret provided that other villas that we stayed at hadn't. For instance, a cooler box to keep your drinks cool away from the house to name but 1. I could name more but hopefully you'll book & see for yourselves. The house is finished to a high spec & I have no doubt that anyone staying here will be more than happy with their choice. As noted on other reviews, you will need a car to get around if you stay here. It's a short commute from the airport & perhaps a 10 minute drive, or less, to Oistins & the coast road where you will find a selection shops, banks, bars, restaurants & beaches. I could go on & on. So many credits left unsaid. Highly recommend this property for your stay in Barbados with no qualms & would be more than happy to return & stay there again. Family celebration

We have just returned from this wonderful villa, and had the most wonderful holiday. Margaret was a fabulous host and was there to meet us on arrival. The pictures are very good but it is even better in reality. The pool is beautiful with stunning views over the sea. It was equipped with everything you need. It was a home from home, and having 2 teenagers it was lovely that we all had our own space, but also great communal areas in the open plan living/kitchen area and the outdoor space. Look out for the goats and horses which regularly escape from the local farm and walk up and down the street, but make sure you shut the gates, so they don't destroy the garden!! There were issues with the oven, and rather than have further repairs, Margaret went out and got a new one - which was very much appreciated. Margaret made lots of great recommendations for places to visit and eat etc, and also offered to pick us up so we could relax at the local restaurant. Apart from the villa, we enjoyed the location, very near to Oistins and Lawrence Gap. We would say that a car is essential as it is not really walking distance to anywhere plus there are no pavements. We would recommend taking an island tour in your first few days to make sure you see the whole island and also get your bearings. We loved Oistins Friday Fish Fry, 'The Gap', Holetown, Sandy Lane. Our best restaurants were Harlequins, Champers. Beach bars were Tiki Bar on Rockley Beach and also the Boatyard spend the whole day there at Carlisle bay - stunning. You will need to take lots of spending money as Barbados is expensive, however you can do it on the cheap by eating with the locals rather than the more fancy restaurants. The weather was mixed, with a 2-3 rainy days, but considering it is rainy season - not bad at all - when the sun is out it is hot hot hot! We all agreed Barbados was our best holiday destination yet and found it had such a lovely vibrant 'vibe', very safe, amazing food, culture and that sea & beaches - just wow !!!! Thank you Margaret we loved your villa and can't recommend highly enough - we would love to return.

Fantastic Villa with great views

This Villa is of very high standard. It has everything you need for your holiday. A real home from home. It is in a cul-de-sac and feels very safe. It is only a short drive from the airport. Superb Villa

The villa has everything you would need, outside the sitting and dining area is excellent, the pool is perfect, and its close to Oistins and St Lawrence Gap, so plenty of restaurants to pick from. Amazing sea view and comfortable villa

We stayed at the villa for six weeks, joined at different times by members of our family. The villa provided flexible accommodation for all groups and we enjoyed our stay enormously. All generations appreciated the space, the amenities and the convenience of the villa. The location is close to the airport, to Oistins and to the major highways to get to other parts of the island. The villa itself was clean and well presented. The bedrooms are spacious and there is plenty of storage. It was good to be able to eat together both inside and outside, with plenty of space for six of us. The pool and deck area were the highlight of the stay. The view from the deck is amazing and it was a real pleasure to sit out during the day or in the evening and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the setting. We were visited in the fields beyond by horses, a new born foal, monkeys, goats, no end of wildlife! Margaret is an excellent host, on hand if anything was needed, responding always very promptly, but not intruding in any way.

Wonderful Holiday

We met Margaret when we arrived and she had very kindly stocked the fridge with provisions so we didn't have to rush to the supermarket. She was very helpful, providing details of local restaurants and leaving us a bottle of rum punch which kicked the holiday off nicely. If we had questions she responded very quickly. We all had a wonderful time here. The view from the pool terrace is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed being visited by the local animals (horses, pigs, goats and monkeys) which appeared in the neighbouring field. Absolutely loved our holiday and would highly recommend the villa and would definitely stay here again when we return as we fully intend to.go back to Barbados at some stage.

Nice to stay while on holiday

This was the second time that we have stayed at Ridgeview Villa.The property is still very well maintained it is also very clean,and well looked after. Maggie the property owner was always there to help, and we had a lovly holiday. Oistins is a very nice place to go on Friday nights, and there plenty of night life in St Lawrence Gap for the younger visitors. We will be back to see Maggie again soon.

Off the beaten path perfection

My wife and I stayed at Ridgeview Villa twice this year. Once in April and most recently in November. We feel there is no better villa for what we want out of our vacation. It is located on top of a ridge which allows for nice breezes to cool the place down during the evening. You will have sun on the pool deck from sunrise till past 3 in the afternoon. During that tine there is plenty of shade to take a break from the sun. Working with Margaret is a pleasure. She is very quick in her responses to questions, often less than an hour to reply. She will give you good recommendations on what to do if you need that help. She has also provided a booklet with flyers of fun activities to try while on vacation. You will need to rent a car while staying here in order to explore all the different beaches that are close by. We like that the location is in an area that has no other tourists but close enough to everything that it is not a problem to get dinner out if you don't feel like cooking in.
