Interaction with guests
I’m a highly qualified Offshore Yachtmaster and SCUBA diver. I have worked within and tangentially to the sailing industry for over 27 years. There is nothing in the world I enjoy doing more than sharing my love of sailing and the sea with others. I have a great passion for the sea and what I do, and I express that through the core values of Liberty Sailing and the way I live my life. I am fully licensed and capable of sailing my boat alone but enjoy getting my guest crew involved in the action. I gain huge personal satisfaction from seeing my guest crew enjoy their time aboard the yacht, teaching them to sail so that they too can experience the thrill of handling a large yacht at sea whilst enjoying life and the beauty of nature in stunning locations. I've worked as a private yacht captain for clients and for specialist sailing holiday firms in Croatia
I look forward to taking you on a wonderful sailing adventure!
The Neighbourhood
Sailing in Croatia offers the most popular trips for tourist along the coast and islands in the Adriatic Sea. The Croatian Coast with 1100 islands is divided in the four major regions: Istria and Kvarner, North, Central and South Dalmatia. If you choose Split as your yacht charter destination, choose a route where you will enjoy the bays of islands. When you rent our sailing yacht in central Dalmatia and your trip lasts seven days the best route from Split is: Split – Šolta – Vis – Biševo – Hvar – Brač – Split. For sailing, Split is an ideal starting point because it is located in the centre of the Croatian coast.

Why they chose this property
THIS BOAT KEEPS TO TRADITIONAL DETAILS WHILE MOVING FORWARD WITH DESIGN IDEAS.
A tour of the Bavaria 38 Cruiser reveals a philosophical difference between Bavaria Yachts and the other major European builders of cruising sailboats: Bavaria hasn’t adapted the Ikea style of furniture to its boat’s interiors. Further, the company has held on to some of the traditional features associated with sailboats, such as accented trim, integrated grabrails on joinery components, and deep, sturdy fiddles around work surfaces and shelves-all in varnished African mahogany. While fashionistas might consider this approach quaint, sailors will find it reassuring, especially when trying to move about the cabin in a seaway.
Keen sailors will also find some on-deck features to their liking. Bavaria calls the 38 a “performance-oriented cruiser,” and it backs that up by providing tackles for adjusting the genoa-sheet leads, a four-part tackle on one leg of the split backstay (redundant, perhaps, on boat with its in-mast furling mainsail), deck padeyes for converting the standard mainsheet to the German-style double-ended system, and four winches.
Over power, the Volvo saildrive drive 55 PS the boat at speeds from 5 knots at 1,200 rpm to 9 knots at 2,500 rpm and at perfectly acceptable noise levels on deck and below.
In both style and substance, the Bavaria 38 appears to be a product of a builder that’s looking forward while not leaving behind what matters most in a cruising sailboat.

What makes this property unique
Croatia is an excellent destination to charter a sailing boat especially in the period between April and October. Summer temperatures can even reach 38°C, whereas the sea temperature amounts to pleasant 26°C during the summer period. High season (July and August) offers lots of fun, entertainment and excitement, whereas the diversity of the Croatian coast also offers many peaceful and quiet places for guests looking for a rest far away from loud disco clubs.
