The stay was wonderful! The host was gracious and responsive. The house is beautiful, great location, very close to the beach and spotless. We highly recommend this house to anyone.
We have stayed at Casa Alta 4 times. Things the first time since the hurricane. They have done a nice job refurnishing and recovering from the hurricane. Beach is still great. It fits our family very well. We hope to be back soon.
We love Casa Alta! Alberto is very responsive if we have requests. The path down to the beach makes us happy every time we go down it and opens to a wide, quiet strip of sand and sea.The house is right on the bike path; we enjoyed riding to Doc Ford's for a beer in the afternoon and longer rides to us through Ding Darling and the lighthouse.
Fantastic house, great location, and wonderful hosts. Alberto is an amazing and caring host, and the house is a reflection of that. We look forward to having an opportunity to go back next year.
We felt very welcomed by Alberto and everyone we encountered on Sanibel Island. We have stayed as Casa Alta several times and find Alberto to be very responsive to any questions or concerns we have. The neighborhood is quiet and close to beach and bike path. The house is clean, well kept, and ready for visitors.
We (my wife and I are in our later 50's) had a terrific time staying at Casa Alta. We stayed for about a month. At first we were a little concerned about being on the West End of the Island. But it really was ideal for us. Walked the beach almost every day and our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren came for a week. It was a great house to host visitors with upstairs Master and two rooms on the main floor. Alberto was quite accommodating in working with us. We were disappointed at the end due to COVID-19 restrictions, but we plan on going back next year. Very Very Pleasant.

Wonderful Stay on Sanibel!
We stayed 10 days at Casa Alta and had a wonderful stay. Beautiful bright and well appointed home. Lovely living area, well appointed kitchen, beautiful outdoor living area, sparkling clean pool, relaxing spa and it really is steps to the beach, easy access! We had a family vacation-5 adults including my parents. There was plenty of living areas to have our own space and to spend time together too. We swam each day in the pool, and soaked in the spa each evening. Cooked nearly all our meals in the kitchen, walked the beach each day, rented bikes and kayaks and had a great vacation. The upstairs master suite is a great private oasis if one needs a bit of a break/alone time. Great master bath, and private balcony. Really lovely home, quiet, and serene.
This was our second year staying at Casa Alta. We have booked for the month of March both times and booked again for next year.
It really fits us well. Upstairs master bedroom is separate from the rest of the house and the bed is super comfortable.
Main floor has two bedrooms which is perfect for a family to visit. We had our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren one week and friends another week.
Main dining table on back deck is terrific and pool area is very comfortable.
Easy access to the beach. We went walking on the beach every day. Not crowded as this place is away from the condo's.
Shelling is terrific.
We really enjoy staying here and Alberto and Anna are easy to work with and highly customer oriented.
Given that next year will be our third year, our recommendation is backed up by our actions!
This was our second visit to Casa Alta. We love the sparkly clean pool and hot tub. The al fresco dining area is awesome. The house sets up well for guests with two bedrooms either side of a full bath. Love the little path that opens up to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and a perfect beach that is wide and very quiet. Alberto is quick and responsive when we have needed his assistance.
A great location for beach & bike access. This part of the beach is away from the condos/inns so it never got too busy. The house was very clean and perfectly set up for a family stay. Alberto was very quick to respond to all of our questions. Being able to bring our westie was another big perk. Highly recommended!
Nothing better for an Sanibel Island getaway, beach access w/privacy, pool and biking. Alberto was fully responsive to any questions and needs and hope to come back again soon.
Casa Alta was the perfect home for our family on sanibel island. We absolutely loved the proximity to the bike path and we rode to all the wonderful and nearby beaches, trails, and parks. We walked across the street to the beach daily where the kids loved spotting dolphins and watching the birds. The house and pool were ideal for our family of four. Plenty of space and we loved eating outside on the deck. The pool, especially the small shallow area, was perfect for our young children. Wifi and cell service was plenty good enough for video calls/meetings while working remotely. Overall, and incredible month on sanibel island and an unforgettable stay at Casa Alta!
We have stayed at Casa Alta before, and the memory of that visit brought us back to the tree house. We made the right decision, even though we arrived a week late due to a health issue. When there was a problem with the hot water tank, Alberto did everything he could to resolve the issue in a timely manner. Our sons and their wives stayed with us a week. It made for a very special family vacation in this difficult pandemic.
I spent two wonderful weeks at the Casa Alta property with my wife and 4 children. The property was ideal for a larger family with a 5 minute walk to the beach via a private access path across the street. Enjoyed hanging out at the pool, social distancing at great Sanibel and Captiva restaurants, island tennis facilities, bicycle riding on safe trails, shelling, running trails, private boat charter with meal preparation at the BYOF (bring your own fish) Lazy Flamingo, lots of ping pong, throwing baseballs and swimming at lowly populated/private beach near property, online shopping and movies via great house wifi, and spending quality time together as a family. We didn't leave Sanibel/Captiva over the two week period and were never bored. I had great communication with the property manager Alberto.
Our family loved our stay at this property. We are a family of 5 that needed a break from our social isolation in Ohio after three months of COVID isolation, and this place was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped for us to make almost every meal at home, the set-up was perfect for us with the kids and the adults having our own floors, and we loved that we could bring our dog with us. We rented bikes for one of the weeks and it was the perfect location off the path to ride for ice cream or to explore the nature preserves, and I also enjoyed morning runs on the path, which was practically empty. The beach path was super close and we practically had the whole beach to ourselves. The house had everything we could have needed - including chairs for the beach. My husband worked from the home for some of our trips and the WIFI was perfect. He loved sitting on the screened porch working while the kids enjoyed the pool below. We spend a week in Captiva each November at South Seas and knew we loved the area already, but this home made us love it even more and it was great for us as we could easily maintain our social distance still while enjoying 10 days in paradise!
Importantly, the property was clean and well maintained. Details that came up were promptly handled. Alberto is a pleasure to work with.
The little path to the beach is magic. Beach equipment provided was lightweight and easy to manage. The beach area it opens up to is wide with plenty of room.
House location is quiet but still close to restaurants, preserve, shops - we biked everywhere.
The pool and spa were 5 star - clean, clean, clean.
We had family visitors with young children and there was plenty of seating.
The large kitchen was clean, properly stocked, and a pleasure to be in.

Perfect House and Location
We really enjoyed our stay at this house. This is as close to the beach as you can get while not being actually on the beach - our walk to the beach was probably about the same as someone with a house on the beach. Closed in pool was great. Very open and spacious house was very relaxing. Thanks and we look forward to next time.

An oasis of calm
This is the second year that we’ve rented this lovely house with its own pool and nice grounds. It’s very well equipped and because it has two levels, the master bedroom is quiet and discrete even when everyone’s downstairs in the living room and the two other bedrooms. Best of all it’s very close to the beach (and it’s a quiet part of the amazing Gulf beach) but on its own very quiet road where our kids could ride bikes and rollerblade with no traffic worries. It’s close to the best grocery store and other amenities. The owner is very engaged to make sure that you’re shaving a good time. Highly recommended.

We loved Casa Alta!
We had a wonderful month in this lovely home. We especially appreciated the screen-enclosed lanai, pool, and hot tub. It really made it so easy to transition from inside to outside. Our sons enjoyed their week here and are jealous that we stayed when they had to leave.
The beach cart and chairs were a godsend and made it easy to transport ourselves and our gear to the beach. We appreciated your quick response when we had difficulty with the air conditioning at first. When we look at the weather up north, we wish we could stay until April!
