The best villa by far

I have stayed in many villas before, but this one was by far one of the best! Good access - good road to get to, easy to find. The villa was super clean, very spaciuos, peaceful and absolutely gorgeous. The views are mesmerising. Kitchen is fully equipped. The beds are comfortable. The owner is such a lovely person, always there if we needed anything. Highly recommend it. div

Best holiday ever

The property is stunning, set in an absolutely amazing location with epic views of the coastline. Just a short drive into the local town. We can't fault the amenities or the property. Lots of supplies already at the villa such as hand soap, washing up liquid, loo rolls etc. Great host who was very welcoming and continued contact throughout our stay, couldn't be more helpful. A slice of heaven

I can't tell you how beautiful this house and it's outdoor spaces are. There are so many places to relax both together or privately. Carlos is such a good host, available immediately for any problems but also doesn't encroach. He is such a nice man! The house is better than in the pictures. Its so well equipped with utensils crockery herbs tea coffee, all the essentials. Air con in all rooms, good wifi and cable channels. Agree that you the climb down and up to the house is something you might only want to only do once in a day, but you can't get those views without that climb. We had the most amazing week I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Carlos and family :)

Amazing villa

We have just returned from a stunning 2 weeks relaxing in this amazing villa Los Almendrales. From the moment Carlos meets you he is beaming with a smile and the most friendly welcome, it just kick starts your holiday. It’s around a 15 minute drive up the mountain following Carlos for the first time which is a lovely touch so you feel more comfortable with the drive before he shows you around the property and makes you feel completely at home. Like previous reviews the pictures simply do not do this property justice. The views in every direction are simply breathtaking. There are so many different areas on the terrace so you can enjoy the mountains or the ocean in the distance overlooking Torrox. We stayed as a family of 4 with our 2 children aged 14 and 15. The swimming pool was a big hit and we had many hours of fun. Inside the property is set on 3 floors with all the amenities you could possibly need. A car is essential I would say for this property as you are up in the mountains. We will definitely be back in the future to enjoy another idyllic escape.

Absolutely fantastic

We couldn’t have more praise for the property, or for Carlos the host. A great welcome and tour of the property, and he was available during the week to help with restaurant bookings etc. The property is superb, well equipped and enjoys fantastic views. It is completely private with a great pool, hot tub, outdoor cooking area and multiple places to sit and enjoy the facilities and views. Be aware that it’s a little drive up from Torrox into the top of the hills but you soon get used to that. It can only be accessed by a car though, walking and public transport would not be possible but it’s worth the effort for the views and the privacy. Highly recommended.

Fantastic villa with stunning views

Very often the photographs of a property are better than the actual property, on this occasion the opposite was true. The villa was much better in real life and what was more important was the host Carlos. We were a family of 8, 2 grandparents, our 2 children and their spouses and our 2 grandchildren. The property pleased all of us. Yes, some people may find the final 500m of the road up a bit hairy, but once you have done it a couple of times it is not difficult. The drivers, our son and son in law quite enjoyed it. However, the journey is well worth it for the quality of the villa, its amenities and the stunning views from all angles. Carlos was an extremely pleasant and helpful host. On the Sunday morning my daughter dropped her wedding ring down the sink and into the waste pipe. Within 20 minutes Carlos was there with an amazing gizmo to retrieve it to everyone’s relief and joy. I am not sure all hosts would be as helpful as this. A big thank you Carlos

Hilltop paradise

The drive up the hill the first time was interesting, but Carlos the owner met us at the bottom to show us the route.The villa is lovely with amazing views. We were 4 adults with a 4 and 2 yr old and barely left the villa as it had everything we needed. Carlos the owner couldnt be more helpful, to the point that he took time out of his working day to take us into town when our son was unwell, spoke to the Doctor and took us to the pharmacy. If you are looking for a relaxing oasis from the hustle and bustle, then this is the place for you

Mountain paradise

When you are trying to choose somewhere to stay for a holiday there is always a fear that the property will not be as good as the pictures suggest. In this case the property far exceeded our expectations - this villa is a slice of heaven atop a beautiful mountain! Carlos is an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble. Communication at the time of booking, before our arrival and during our stay was immediate and so helpful. The villa is so spacious and welcoming and full of thoughtful touches. We enjoyed fresh morning juice from the orange tree and watched beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the horizon every day. Carlos thoughtfully helped us navigate the winding road up to the villa on our first day (we arrived in the dark) and although it is nerve wracking at first we soon got used to it, although we organised our time to make sure we only descended and ascended once a day. The climb is really worth it for the fantastic views and the seclusion. Carlos explained where we could buy wood and we enjoyed the fire indoors at night. The outside space is top class. We paid to use the spa and it was lovely to have a dip in the pool before using it. There is plenty of seating for dining and relaxing in all the areas. We didn’t use the fire pit but it is a lovely addition to the space. We stayed as two couples and didn’t want to leave! Overall we would thoroughly recommend the villa and would love to return if we can manage to reserve another time.

Truely outsanding villa and location

We had such an amazing stay at the Villa which was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The views are spectacular from the various view points around the villa. Carlos has to be one of the best hosts we've ever had when renting properties!! We'd love to return soon.

Amazing villa

Wow! By far the best villa we have stayed in. Carlos greeted us and nothing was too much for him , he was a great ! The villa was spotless throughout, pool was amazing, veiws were amazing, gerdens were even better. A car is a must, it was a further drive up from the coast then where we usually stay but i quite enjoyed the daily drive. Did the drive put me off? No way! Once at the villa its amazing. Thanks for a wonderful holiday carlos, we hope to see you again next year 👍

The most amazing villa!

WOW! We have just returned from the most amazing holiday at this beautiful villa. The photos don’t do the views justice they are just breathtaking. The villa is spotless with everything you need for a comfortable stay. You soon get used to the road going up to the villa and once you are up there it is well worth it. We stayed with 2 young children and everything felt so safe from the gates leading to the pool to the gate at the top of the stairs it is perfect for families. Carlos is a fantastic host and really treats you like friends I have never stayed anywhere with such an warm and friendly host. Thank you so much Carlos for making our holiday so special we have taken away some life long memories.

Perfect in every way , a very special Villa with magnificent views

A fantastic Spanish villa with fabulous facilities, beautiful pool area in a truly stunning and private location with vast and far reaching panoramic mountain and sea views. The climb to the villa by car is a little disconcerting initially but is well worth it and you soon get used to it! Carlos , the owner is an absolute pleasure to deal with, and so helpful, and he really does want to make sure that you have everything you need for a wonderful stay. Excellent communication with Carlos and nothing is too much trouble, and he is always available should you need any help. He is 'your friend' whilst in Spain! Perfect villa and perfect host. I would have no hesitation in recommending this villa & we hope to return again in the future. Thank you Carlos.

Beautiful villa with stunning views

We had a fantastic stay in this well equipped villa, it easily accommodated two families and we had ample space. Carlos gave us a very warm welcome explaining in english how everything worked. The villa is remote so a car is essential and you have to drive up a single lane steep track but it is totally worth it.

A gem in the mountains.

This spectacular villa up in the mountains. We could not have wished for anything better. So much comfortable seating outside, well equipped kitchen, comfy bedrooms. Views to die for. Our hosts could not have been nicer. Nothing was to much trouble. After a very stormy night Carlos came the next day to see if we were ok. Was always a phone call away if we had any questions.

Amazing

Highly recommend this villa. We were two families, kids aged between 11-17, and loved the amount of outdoor space that was available. The views from the villa are fantastic and it is so relaxing. At night you could see the stars as there was little light pollution. The best thing about booking this place was how easy it was to speak to Carlos - he answered all my questions promptly before and during our stay. Although the drive up initially was a bit of an eye opener, we did get used to it. Wi-fi was excellent. Nothing to fault - we loved it.

Simply stunning: beautiful villa in an amazing location, a perfect combination.

No photograph can capture the essence of this beautiful villa and it’s surroundings. The first time you drive up the mountain road on arrival you get the feeling its going to be special but the first glimpse of the villa and the view is just breathtaking. The villa itself is well equipped and has everything you need. The family who own it welcome you as friends rather than paying guests and really work hard to ensure you enjoy your stay. There are many different outdoor areas for eating, cooking or just sitting. The pool is big enough to swim in and regularly cleaned by Carlos. The location is very special and worth every bump on the way up. The sweeping views encompass mountains and sea and there are plenty of opportunities to see eagles and bee eaters flying overhead. All in all the perfect combination for a relaxing holiday.

Beautiful Villa

From the initial booking process last year to meeting us at nearly 2am after our flight was delayed, Carlos has been the most perfect host. He even went shopping for us so that we had bread, ham and milk for breakfast the next morning. The journey up to the villa was interesting in the dark but we soon got used to it during our week. The villa was exactly as described and we have had the most amazing and relaxing week. The views across the mountains never failed to amaze us. We loved the villa and will come back at some point in the future.

a dream come true a wonderfull villa in a wonderfull area owned by a wonderfull family

my wife and I have been staying in villas in the costa del sol for a few years I must say this villa is fantastic every thing you could want cleanliness 5 star the views are amazing if you have young children the pool area and the stairways in the villa can be made child proof by safety gates that are in place . Antonio and his family make you feel at home as soon as they meet you they treat you as family and stress to you if you have any problems ring them and they will sort them out including medical or anything else and you can tell they really mean it . it is about a 15 minute drive to the beach and villages of compete and torrox both have very good restaurants but the pool and barbeque areas in the villa are amazing if you just want to chill out .I can recommend this villa as it is by far the best villa for quality and value we have ever stayed in thank you Antonio Carlos and family joan and leslie.

Amazing Villa

We are just back from a weeks stay in this beautiful villa and will certainly be booking again. The villa was spacious and clean and the outdoor area was very luxurious. The remoteness of the villa meant it was lovely and peaceful with breathtaking views over the hills of Torrox. Carlos (host) kindly escorted us to the villa, which took away the worries of getting lost! Superb! Lovely Villa, amazing views, welcoming owners.

Even better than it looks in the photographs! When we showed our photos to our family and friends they all said Wow! It's about a 15 minute drive to Torrox. The villa has all of the home comforts you would expect. The owners just can't do enough to be helpful and friendly. The views are jaw dropping. We loved the pool, especially at night when it was all lit up! The BBQ area and the loungers were spot on. We had a choice of tables and views to sit at for meals or just to relax. The kitchen was well equipped. And having 2 fridges and freezers was really handy. If ever we needed advice or help we just messaged the owners and they were very quick to reply and we're amazingly helpful. The WiFi is very good. The villa and it's grounds were spotlessly clean. And the pool was regularly cleaned. The showers and baths were lovely. Lots of hot water with good pressure. We especially appreciated our welcome pack. (Thank you Carlos). When we left we felt like we were leaving friends. And we dearly miss this beautiful Villa. We are so picky, but would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

Amazing villa!! Everything a family could need for a holiday. The kids lived in the large pool.

Wonderful place - well looked after and thought out. The pool was cleaned every 3 days and Carlos who could not be more helpful and polite. We got used to the steep drive up the hill and it is well worth it for the incredible views!! A lovely gem of a villa. We will be back - can’t fault it at all!!
