The house is located in a beautiful lemon garden, in the middle of green trees. A place where you can spend your holidays peacefully. The house has air conditioning and can comfortably accommodate four people. The swimming pool is large and comfortable, equipped with whirlpool, will allow you to relax at any time. The whole is situated in an ideal geographic context that will allow you to easily reach the main tourist sites of eastern Sicily (300 mt from the sea, 45 minutes from the summit of Etna, 20 minutes from Taormina, and much more ... ).
The final cleaning is included in the price. For last minute bookings and for extended periods we offer discounts.
The owners live in an adjacent apartment, with independent entrance, and are available for any needs.

Fabulous stay at this property

With the hosts instructions the property was easy to get to. It is very well located. We had a fantastic welcome on arrival and even found some lovely “granite” and a bowl full of lemons and bananas from the garden. The house was very clean and equipped with all necessary items for a very conformable stay. We had a fantastic time during our holiday. The property is equipped with air conditioning that kept us cool just at the right temperature despite it being a hot July. The owners were fantastic hosts. They looked after us and provided lots of precious information regarding local amenities, including itineraries and culinary specialities to try in different surrounding towns. Santa Tecla itself if a very nice village, not crowded by tourists and with a lovely sea front and good restaurants. The highlight of the property is the generously sized pool surrounded by a large lemon grove and facing the beautiful Timpa nature reserve. The area surrounding the pool is very well furnished and laid out with trees and flowering shrubs that provide many shaded corners, including one with a barbecue and dining tables. It was also a pleasure to have a drink at night by the edge of the pool caressed by gentle breeze. We enjoyed our holiday here very much and are already looking forward to return in the near future. Very rural area and accommodation

We loved being able to walk to 6 different restaurants and a supermarket from the house. However everything else you need to drive to as it’s such a rural location. If you just want to soak up the sun by the pool it’s for you as the pool is huge. The lemon groves are beautiful and peaceful. A good spot to base trips from if you’re prepared to risk driving on these tiny roads where the locals speed like lunatics! Mosquito bites a pain even tho we prepared for them. Beware. No air con and no lounge area. Fan in room though which was essential. Not a lot of English spoken in the area nor by the hosts which makes it complicated. Peaceful and hot despite a thunderstorm one day but too basic for our tastes.

Great spot

Great property, location and helpful owners. Thoroughly enjoyed stay. Pool in secluded location is a big hit. Local food excellent and good connectivity to sites of interest.

Quiet and relaxing with a friendly host. Pool and lemon groves surrounded us. Good restaurants local

We had a week of great weather, staying in this gorgeous little apartment, often eating the fresh fruit from the orchard. Santa Tecla is a small village a friendly cafe for the daily granite and fresh brioche for breakfast, and 4 restaurants, the best of which was the fish restaurant Dal Barone where the really helpful waiter was able to recommend the daily fresh options. Two highlights were the black ink cuttlefish pasta, and the sea urchin pasta, but the grilled fresh fish was simply cooked and equally wonderful. The tour of Etna was brilliant and very informative, organised through Legendary Sicily, our guide was Eddie.

Un séjour authentique

Les propriétaires louent une partie de leur propriété; ils sont présents mais très discrets. Pendant 5 jours nous avons eu accès librement à la piscine, au magnifique jardin de citronniers, au barbecue, salon de jardin ... L'idéal pour passer des moments reposants au frais dans un environnement typique. Agata et sa famille sont très attachants. Nous avons pu profiter du calme mais aussi faire des visites (Catane, Taormine, Aciréale) et une excursion à l'Etna. Beaucoup de points forts pour cet hébergement que je recommande.

Ein Traum von Pool und Privatsphäre

Wir hatten eine schöne Woche bei Agatha, wurden mit Zitronen und Granita im Gefrierfach empfangen. Die Wohnung liegt in einem Teil des Haupthauses, hat aber einen privaten, eigenen Eingang und bietet auch sonst ausreichend Platz und sehr viel Privatshäre. Aus dem Esszimmer hat man einen direkten Blick auf den unfassbar großen, sauberen, auch bei über 30 Grad kühlen Pool und die Zitronenplantage, inmitten derer das Haus und der Pool liegen. Die Unterkunft bietet nicht den größten Komfort, nicht die modernste Einrichtung, hat aber Charme durch hohe Decken, alte Böden, original erhaltene Türen. Die Klimaanlage ist nicht besonders stark (war aber ausreichend) und die Matratzen (vor allem im Kinderzimmer) müssten einmal erneuert werden, aber wenn man keinen großen Anspruch an Komfort hat, ist die Unterkunft ganz wunderbar und bietet sonst an Ausstattung alles, was man so braucht. Wir hatten den Pool fast immer für uns alleine, konnten nach dem Aufstehen und vor dem Schlafen gehen baden und haben die Zeit bei Agatha genossen. In der Umgebung gibt es zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, ins Wasser zu kommen. Man muss manchmal über Vulkangestein, ist aber alles (auch mit Kindern) machbar und dafür ist es wenig touristisch. Ein Supermarkt ist in ein paar Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen, Acireale, Riposto, Catania, alles schön, alles in der Nähe. Die Hausbesitzer (Agatha und ihr Sohn leben auf dem Grundstück) waren stets ansprechbar bei Fragen. Wir würden wieder kommen!

Un logement qui n’est plus au niveau de qualité attendu

La partie de la maison dédiée à la location n’a pas les normes modernes de confort : pas de climatisation et des ventilateurs de piètre qualité, pas de machine à laver, matelas des enfants si durs qu’ils ont eu l’impression de dormir sur une planche en bois, une wifi erratique, une TV cathodique (même si on ne s’en sert pas) et niveau déco tout est à l’avenant et semble dater des années 70. On ne s’est pas sentis bien dans la maison ni reposés car les nuits sont beaucoup trop chaudes. La nuit, il fait plus chaud dans la maison que dehors ! En positif, une piscine très agréable, un beau jardin de citronniers, un emplacement proche de bars et restaurants à pied et une bonne base de départ pour visiter Syracuse, Catane, Taormina et l’Etna.

Wonderful relaxing holiday in the countryside

We stayed here for one week with two children. The garden and pool is fantastic and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. We have rented many different houses in Italy and this is by far the nicest pool we have ever had. We also enjoyed walking around in the lemon groves, exploring the surrounding cities and the charming village Santa Tecla. Only negative for us was the nights where we had trouble sleeping because of the heat wave. Airconditioning or ceiling fans would have been helpful.

La struttura vintage in un contesto di campagna va bene, ma oggi è difficilmente accettabile la mancanza dell'aria condizionata e sopra tutto della lavatrice. Piscina decisamente bella ed area piscina ben curata. Arredamento e dotazione di stoviglie migliorabile. Diciamo che la casa nel suo insieme non è all'altezza della piscina. Proprietari premurosi, anche un po' troppo secondo mia moglie.

Très agréable séjour à santa Tecla. L'accueil a été très chaleureux entre les discussions au bord de la piscine, les conseils de visites et les agréables moments passés autour d'un granité. L'extérieur de la maison, avec les citronniers, la piscine et la vue sur l'Etna , est magnifique et paisible. Les baignades, après des journées de visites intenses, ont été très appréciées.

Propriétaire accueillant. Piscine tres bien meme si nous n’avons pas pu l’utiliser les 2 derniers jours. Transats vétustes. Maison pas propre à notre arrivée (toiles d’araignee et araignée, fourmis...), pièce repas sans fenêtre. Peu de vaisselle. Manque d’électroménager :pas de lave vaisselle, pas de micro-onde, pas de bouilloire, pas de cafetière, pas de machine à laver le linge !!! Literie pour les enfants très moyen...impression de dormir sur des lattes de bois!

Situation et cadre exceptionnel

A 20 mn de Catane, la maison est très bien située pour visiter l'est de l'ile et bien entendu l'Etna. Rien a dire sur la location, conforme aux photos. Jardin magnifique, lauriers ,jasmins et un parc de citronniers. Piscine incroyable à faire pâlir certains hôtels. Hôtes accueillants et très discrets. Résidence au calme. Plage, pizzeria, boulangerie et supérette sont accessibles à pied. Seul point négatif: les moustiques... Brrr Le top!

très bien, mais...

Très bel endroit, le jardin est très beau et très agréable. La maison est rustique mais confortable, il pourrait y avoir un micro onde et un lave linge et cela serait parfait. Le seul bémol est la piscine qui n'était pas en service et à aucun moment nous ne l'avons su lors de notre réservation. Notre choix s'était porté sur cette maison en grande partie pour ça! mais nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

Excellente prestation

La location de cette maison était conforme à sa description. Nous n'avons rien de spécial à formuler excepté le manque de matériels pour préparer les repas. Un seul qualificatif pour notre 4 eme séjour en sicile : SUPER la gentillesse de FRANCESCO ainsi que de tous les siciliens ; SUPER l'environnement de la propriété et de sa piscine. Pour résumer nous avons passé de merveilleuses vacances dans cette magnifique demeure. Nous projetons d'y revenir l'année prochaine

Carissimo Francesco, siamo rimasti davvero entusiasti della scelta che abbiamo fatto e ti rinnoviamo i nostri ringraziamenti per la squisita accoglienza con la quale ci hai ricevuto, dell'ospitalità, del gradevole soggiorno e delle tue attenzioni. Come ti dissi, sebbene una volta ci fossi già stato nella tua casa, e ne rimasi al tempo incantato, per me è stata nuovamente una gradevole sorpresa. Abbiamo passato dei giorni fantastici, ci siamo molto divertiti, la casa, il giardino, la campagna che circonda la piscina, ci siamo sentiti a casa nostra sin dal primo giorno: è stato semplicemente meraviglioso! Ricorderemo sempre questa seppur breve vacanza con piacere e con un pizzico di nostalgia.. Un caro saluto da Pasquy ed Ely.

excellent séjour

Avions séjourné du 09/2011 au 24/09/2011 et mon appréciation n'est jamais parue (du coup : obligée d'indiquer une "fausse date") ; pourtant ns n'avons jamais oublié ce séjour ! Location tout à fait conforme à la description : la piscine, soigneusement entretenue, entourée de lauriers rose, en est l'atout majeur + la plantation de citronniers = havre de paix avec vue sur l'Etna. Le logement est simple (bémol : cuisine peu équipée en vaisselle à l'époque) mais confortable (fraîcheur, espace). L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter l'est de la Sicile, on peut "pousser" jusqu'à Agrigente et Cefalu en dormant sur place. Commerces à 2 pas. Il faut souligner l'extrême gentillesse des propriétaires prêts à vs aider en toutes circonstances (elle ns a prêté des manteaux pr l'Etna par ex) tout en restant discrets. La piscine, transats, salon de jardin (ombre naturelle) et barbecue sont à la seule dispo des locataires (Ils ns ont demandé une fois s'ils pouvaient s'en servir...). En ce qui concerne la plage (accès à pied en 10 ms), ne pas oublier les chaussures en plastique! amical souvenir aux propriétaires !

Vacances TRES agréables

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à Santa Tecla. Petites balades, bons restos, visites des alentours... Belle vue sur l'Etna. Merci à Gianni pour ses conseils et pour sa disponibilité. Description de la location conforme à l'annonce, piscine gigantesque... Je recommande la location.

Maison rustique,mitoyenne...

Maison rustique,mitoyenne à celle du propriètaire, ameublement simple mais comme on vit presque toujours à l'extérieur ce n'est un problème. Et quel extérieur! Un parc de citronniers et une piscine avec jacuzzi digne des grands hotels. Très bien située pour visiter Taormine, Syracuse et bien sur l'Etna que l'on voit du jardin. Giovanni et Agatha nous ont réservé un très bon accueil avec de nombreux conseils.
