About this property

The property is situated in a very quiet area on the outskirts of Sarlat, on a plot of land of 1/2 hectare, with meadows and a small wood at the tenants' disposal. A few ewes with their lambs live on the meadow opposite the property and everyone can visit them as they wish. 250 metres away from the road is a private access road. The swimming pool is now semi-covered and heated, with a living room for 8 people and a dining table, ideal for an excellent convivial moment. The owner, Artisan biscuitier also lives on the property, but there is no opposite him. The tenants can, if they wish, come and taste biscuits in friendship.

A deposit of 300 euros will be requested on arrival and returned on departure.
If you wish to take the cleaning option, you will be asked for 33 euros at the end of your stay.
The payments linked to the booking must be made online to block your dates on our calendar.

An ideal holiday

Evelynes house had everything we needed for a very enjoyable week. The property was in a beautiful location and lacked nothing in terms of kitchen equipment, bedding etc. and the pool was an absolute delight. Evelyne brought us some eggs from her own chickens when we arrived which was a nice touch. Highly recommended.

Pretty gite and wonderful host

Peaceful stay

We had a wonderfully peaceful stay. Gite has everything you could need for a self catering holiday. Bed was very comfortable and large shower. Lovely secluded private pool. So quiet in the evening and at night. Great biscuits from the factory shop at the bottom of the property. Owner was very helpful dispite our total lack of basic French . We had a great 2 weeks with so many great places within 30 to 40 minute drive. Would certainly recommend this gite for your 1st visit to the dordogne region.

We know the area well as we have stayed near by annually for many years. The property was lovely and host whilst not speaking much English managed to communicate with us. The whole place was exactly as described.

Stay in the Dogdoyne

The accommodation was comfortable and the host was very friendly. Thé gîte is in a good area if you want to use it as a base for touring. The swimming pool is a delight. Most of the day out touring followed by a swim at teatime. Great combination. Oh and the biscuits were great. Thank you.

France holiday

Beautiful property very near to Sarlat, Evelyn our host was wonderful nothing was too much trouble, we came back from a day out and she had put a gift of fresh eggs from her hens and walnuts we thoroughly enjoyed both. We were sorry to leave. The pool was heated as promised We would recommend strongly. Thank you Evelyn

LOVELY QUIET STAY

A guide for the property would have been useful, to cover things such as how to use the TV (we never did work it out!!), what to do with general rubbish and recycling, how the induction hob works (we did work it out eventually, but.....), instructions for the pool (who fills it, cleans it, etc), recommendations for local attractions/ restaurants (there was a basket with leaflets in but far too many to go through), etc. That said, the host Evelyn was lovely and helpful, and we got the holiday we wanted; peaceful and relaxing.

Great little house on the hill

When we arrived at the property Evelyne was there to meet us. She speaks a little english but but we spoke in french most of the time and I think she understood what I said. The house is all on one floor with a great little terrace for dining and relaxing. The pool is on another level so stake your drinks etc down with you but has a great seating in the shade and loungers. Lovely space. We saw Evelyne once or twice when she was watering the plants. She is available when you want her but otherwise you never see her. We had a fabulous time. Thanks Evelyne

A very good and accessible location for touring the Dordogne

The propery was within 1km to a local supermarket, we walked to Sarlat town centre several times which is aprox 3km away. The property has all new appliances and well laid out. We stayed for many a day around the pool, on the loungers sunbathing and reading and also undercover on the comfortable chairs at the end of the pool when it got too hot. The pool was very clean and well maintained. The location is very quiet and provides easy acess to the whole area for any activity you wish. The host, Evelyn who lives very close by, was always available if we needed advice on the locality. She popped by several times and was very friendly and helpfull as required. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and a memorable time in Sarlat.

Charming gite

Lovely, helpful owner. Great base for touring Dordogne / Lot tourist sites. Supermarket nearby and short drive into Sarlat. Gite has been recently upgraded and is very comfortable.

Un super séjour

Gite très bien situé, proche toutes commodités. Maison confortable, bien équipée. Une très agréable terrasse avec salon et chaises longues ainsi qu'une table et chaises permettant de prendre les repas dehors, le tout dans la nature entouré d'arbres et de massifs de fleurs. Cerise sur le gâteau, une très belle piscine à 29 degrés Une hôtesse disponible, discrète, d'une grande gentillesse. En conclusion un excellent séjour chez Evelyne ,dans une région riche en découvertes culturelles et sportives.

Fantastisch verblijf gehad in Sarlat

Het vakantiehuis met verwarmd zwembad (kleine extra vergoeding voor verwarming zwembad na 1 oktober) voldeed aan onze wensen. Goed verzorgd en met alle voorzieningen. Veel privacy op een terrein van ruim een halve hectare. Een aanrader. De eigenaresse, Evelyne, is zeer attent en respecteert de privacy.

A beautiful area to explore

Wonderfully equipped, quiet beautiful setting, a bit rural and therefore a car is needed, anything necessary is nearby, the hostess was very friendly and accessible. The Dordogne area is full of interesting things to see. We had a thoroughly wonderful stay.

Séjour très agréable

Evelyne nous accueille chaleureusement, elle est disponible et toujours agréable. La maison est confortable et pratique. La piscine toujours à une température idéale et le fait qu'elle soit couverte est un réel avantage. Nous recommandons cette location pour des vacances en famille, endroit calme et près des commerces et bien situé de lieux incontournables comme la Roque Gageac, les jardins d'eau...

Sehr schöne Wohnung

Es hat alles super gepasst. Die Wohnung super sauber mit einer toll ausgestatteten Küche. Bequeme Betten. Was will man mehr. Der Pool wurde nicht genutzt, er hat aber auch sehr gepflegt ausgesehen.
