Intimate and private, La Almendra Blanca is a designer villa with large infinity pool and 300 degrees of uninterrupted sea views.
Set on a very peaceful hillside position 150 meters above sea level and surrounded by an exotic tropical garden of 2000 square meters, this unique home is the ideal place for a romantic escape in absolute intimacy but is also a perfect hideaway for families with children or a group of friends.

Freshly renovated and refurbished, its exquisite, chic and exclusive interior with an eclectic mix of Asian influence has been tastefully decorated by the owner herself who has spent a big part of her life in Bali. But without doubts, the jewel of this luxury villa is the immaculated infinity pool facing the endless Mediterranean Sea in absolute privacy.

Wonderful villa

The first thing we noticed was the stunning view over the sea and mountains, it really is fully 180 degrees. The villa is bigger than it looks on the website with more to see, we stay at different villas 2 or 3 times a year and this is one of the best, very spacious and individually furnished, it is more like staying in a home rather than a rental, even the kitchen knives were sharp not something we normally find. We spent most of the time on the terrace and in the lovely pool enjoying the view, the property is not overlooked. We also ate out in Salobrena old town - we recommend a taxi, driving/parking is a nightmare in the narrow streets, we also visited Alumencar, easier to navigate. Wi fi excellent, pool towels provided and lots of space for guests to spread out in. We would have liked a folder of information as usually provided with things like taxi numbers, local doctors and restaurant suggestions etc. as scanning the qr code and accessing information was inconvenient and not really relevant to the villa. No guest book either and it left us wondering if the villa had ever been rented out before. We had a great week with friends and would happily return in the future.

Fabulous Villa

The villa was even better than it looked in the photos, the pool is big and amazing, the views are wonderful. Everything we needed was there, beds were comfy, BBQ dinners on the balcony were memorable - local octopus is delicious. You do need a car as Salobrena is a long trek

Lovely

Both the villa and the location are fabulous, the views really make this property something very special. I would suggest it is suitable for adults or families with older children due to low walls, not an issue for us though. Sadly I managed to break my arm during our holiday however this did not spoil our time, it just changed our plans meaning we spent much more time at the villa and this was a really enjoyable time. There is a good size pool (great for rehab of broken arm!). The master suite is spacious and comfortable and there are two more bedrooms - all with aircon. We cooked most days and even used the BBQ on one evening. The villa has a calm and tranquil feel, the owner has gone to great lengths to choose very beautiful and interesting items for guests to relax among. We would love to revisit one day.

Beautiful, peaceful house with wonderful views and pool

The villa had lovely views, including from the infinity pool, and it was decorated beautifully. It was very peaceful and we very much enjoyed our stay. There are a lot of interesting excursions to do if one so wishes (for example Granada with the Alhambra, caves of Nerja, Frigiliana, old Salobrena, nearby beaches, shopping and restaurants in Almunecar) but it is also very pleasant to relax in the house and the pool.

Stunning villa & host

First of all, Mara is quite possibly the friendliest, most helpful host we’ve ever stayed with. I was really worried about arriving in the early hours of the morning, but Mara reassured me this would not be a problem. She was in contact for any questions we had which took any worries we might have had away. The Villa is beautiful. It is so spacious and airy, with amazing views from every room except the bathrooms! The pool is amazing… big enough to play in and lovely to enjoy the views from. There was everything you could need in the Villa - kitchenware, towels, coffee machine, washing machine…. We spent most of our time in the pool and sitting on the terrace just looking out at the views.. it never got boring! The town, including a Supercor and Lidl, are just a 5 minute drive away, so really easy to get to. We would definitely stay here again and feel that our holiday in the Villa was a really special one. Thank you Mara 😁

Everything about our stay in this superb villa was perfection. The view when I first entered the villa took my breath away. The sensational view, combined with the simple elegance of the villa, is heartbreakingly beautiful. Mara is as perfect and impeccable as her beautiful home. Amazing holiday and Villa

We are ruined for the rest of our lives! Where are we every going to get a holiday destination like it again? From the moment we crossed the front door we just couldn’t believe our good fortune. The house is amazing and so spacious with an amazing terrace, sea views and a great pool. I am a firm believer that you should not stay anywhere if it’s not at least as good as your own home. And boy this ticks the boxes. Mara, our host and owner of the property, greeted us to show us around the house and was on hand for the duration of our stay if there was anything we needed, and she was so helpful and such a delightful person. The house is fully equipped with everything you might need. It’s just like a home and not a holiday let. Mara did advise us that a car is needed and she was right. Unfortunately, this was not an option for us and was the only downside. On a positive note, Victor, the taxi driver that Mara recommended was always available to us, was most reliable and efficient. Hard to put it into words. We had a beautiful week, really comfortable and relaxing. Our baby wasn't walking yet so the infinity pool and low walls were absolutely fine for us. We watched the sunrise from bed and the sunset from the amazing 180 degree view terrace. Everything in the house is beautifully designed and works great. We had no problems at all. The nearby towns were lovely for little trips, although you do have to drive everywhere as the road isn't pedestrian friendly. Mara greeted us and was as lovely as her house! I think our favourite thing was the view - it's really special. Wish we were still there now!

Beautiful villa to feed the sensed

The villa is stunning. You feel like wafting around in white all day. Very clean and comfortable. Pool lovely for a few swims a day and as infinity pool you can rest your head on the side to watch the world go by. Cannot fault the villa at all. The area was a little more busy than we had anticipated as we usually go to islands on holiday that are quieter and not a busier resort town with main road nearby. Still lovely and a good choice of restaurants in Salobreña.

Beautiful Place

Mara the owner of the villa was very friendly and accommodating. She showed us around the villa which is one of the most beautiful holiday home we have stayed in. The property is decorated in a mix of items from asia in white washed palette which blends in perfectly with the with village. The view is to die for! Waking up in the morning to be greeted with crisp clean sea view, sunshine and blue sky is amazing. We had one lovely evening dinning on the balcony watching the sunset, nothing more can be asked for. There are several good restaurants by the sea. Our favourite is El Piñon. There are 2 places where we stumble up on on the return from the ruin. Unfortunately I don’t remember what it was called. It is in a square at the bottom of the ruin. The waiter was very friendly and cheerful. Food is ok but the location is fantastic. Another place we liked was Pesetas. It is near the old ruined castle. It has fantastic view of Salobreña and food was quite good. It was clear to be popular among the locals. Sitting there soaking the noise and sounds of the local conversations was a truly Spanish experience.

Exceptional!!

This beautiful villa surpassed all of our expectations. The comfortable and spacious accommodation is furnished beautifully and has the most incredible views imaginable - completely breathtaking! To top it all Mara is the perfect host. Throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble and Mara was exceptional when one of our party injured themselves on a day out. She recommended a great Doctor, provided assistance with medical translations and even arranged taxis to take us to hospital. Mara really was an absolute Godsend! It is not only the fabulous accommodation but Mara's kindness and generosity that have made this a truly memorable holiday. We will definitely be back and will recommend to all of our family and friends. This is a hidden jewel not to be missed!

Perfect relaxation in stunning surroundings

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at this villa. The 360 degree views are breathtaking as is the pool area. Inside, the rooms were all beautifully clean and comfortable. Our only advice would be to families with babies or very small children that due to low rise walls and drops down, you wouldn’t be able to take your eyes off them for a second. Our youngest is 6 and we watched her like a hawk but she also understood it was dangerous to go near the edges so kept away and was far happier playing in the pool, reading on the loungers or playing on the grassed area. We only left the villa once for our entire week as it was just too lovely to leave. A perfect villa for total relaxation. Thank you very much.

A Special Place

Sometimes it is hard to say why a place is so special. It is the ancient mountains, the blue of the sea, the breeze, the birds, the trees. It is this house, the way it sits on the hill, it's design and it is Mara, her love of beauty, of peace, of the East. An amazing week in a stunning situation, a beautiful Silver Anniversary and two very content teenagers. Thank you, Mara, we will never forget!

Outstanding holidays at a fantastic place

We spent a wonderful ten days at the villa. Everyone really enjoyed it. The layout of the house was perfect for us and the cleanliness of the rooms was very good. We particularly liked the style of the furnishings and the attention to detail. Last but not least, the breathtaking view should be emphasised, which makes the place very special. The service provided by the agency was also very friendly and courteous. We will be back very soon.

Einfach nur ein Traum

Great villa with fantastic views

Absolutely fantastic views and a very nice villa as well. A touch of Spanish and malaysian stile mix gives the villa a great feeling of 'zen', where you can really relax. Owner/bureau had made a lot of small gestures to let us feel welcome, which we really appreciated. Only thing to comment on could be the road on the foot of Monte Almendros, which can be heard, but you can surely have the greatest and most luxurious holliday ever in any case. Best recommendations from us.

Super Aussicht
